Team Adam's Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 A very heart felt THANK YOU to our US Military Veterans! Tuesday, November 11, 2008 please take a moment to reflect on the cost our Veterans have paid so we can enjoy our freedoms! Whether you agree with war or not you can thank a Veteran for the freedom you enjoy to feel whichever way you want! If you are a Veteran or an Active Duty service member please chime in and say where you were/are stationed and any words you might have for Adam's Forums. Thank you! Team Adam's Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 <-- US Navy IT2(SW) USS ESSEX (LHD-2) 2003-2007 I loved every second of it, even on the worst days.
CRQuarto Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Veteran's Day is my favorite holiday, even though I am not a veteran. It brings tears to my eyes to think of the sacrifices that have been made over time just to ensure that I CAN enjoy this day off. I always give a moment of silence in remembrance of all the men and women who have served, and are serving, this great country of ours. Thank you to every one of you!!!! Oh, and belated Happy Birthday to the Marine Corps, I might add

jub jub Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Retired in 1993 from the USAF after 20 years of service. It was a great career!
Tom in Tacoma Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Retired in 1994 after 20-years of service in the US Army. I would do it all over again. I had the honor of working for (then) LTC David H. Petraeus on the command staff of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY. I truly believe he is the right man to get the job done. To my fellow vets (including the Navy guys ) I salute you!

Bill-V8V Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I'm thinking it would take awhile to wax that ride !!!!!
Bill-V8V Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 It could use a little APC, wonder if Adam wants to sell them some 55 gallon drums
Team Adam's Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 Trust me - the deck department was on a revolving paint schedule with our boat. The second they finished one spot it was on to the next!
mikegeaney Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 My favorite Patriotic/Veteran related saying, that I have seen on bumper stickers... "If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading this in English, thank a Veteran." Thanks to all that have served, are serving, and will serve.

tsohgsrenoon Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 What do you say about giving nooner another chance in the spirit of veterans day and the fact that he served in OIF II? This would be on veterans day, but not only is my user name banned, but my IP adress is as well. I had to use a friends computer to get this up here. What do you say we burry the 'ol hatchet and start over new?
