2010 Tesla Roadster Sport Full Detail

This Tesla had about five hundred miles on it and needed a new car prep. This is the just released 2.5 Roadster Sport all electric super car. This particular car is worth just shy of $150,000! Car was in OK shape. It had plenty of hard water spot's and swirls that required a two stage correction. Hope you enjoy!

Ton's of Adam's Double Soft, Waterless Wash, and Glass Towel's

 

Paint Correction:

Porter Cable 7424XP

Porter Cable cordless drill

Adam's 7.5in foam pads

Adam's 4in spot foam pads

Adam's Swirl and Haze

Adam's Fine Machine Polish

Finished with Adam's Americana Premium Paste Wax

 

Interior:

Adam's Leather Cleaner

Adam's Leather Conditioner

Adam's Foam Applicators

Adam's Interior Brush

Metro Vac with various attachments

 

The Detail:

Car came in fairly clean

Wheel wells and tires were sprayed down with All Purpose Cleaner

Wheels sprayed down with Green Wheel Cleaner

Agitated with various Adam's brushes including the Power Stick

Foamed with our soon to be released foam gun

It was a hot day, so the car was sprayed down with Detail Spray to neutralize the water

Deck lid was opened to show the batteries and PEM (power electronic's). These areas were sprayed down with Waterless Wash rather than a hose and water...can you guess why?:D

Car was also air dried with a MetroVac Vac n Blo

Now for the paint. Car had tons of holograms and swirls, and one spot were bird dropping had a chance to bake in.

I started with the bird etchings first using a Porter Cable cordless drill with Adam's 4" foam pads. Yellow, Orange, and White.

Now for the PC 7424XP. The two stage process include Adam's 7.5" Orange foam pad with Swirl and Haze Remover, followed by 7.5" White foam pad with Fine Machine Polish.

The Tesla was then protected with two coats of Adam's Americana

Plastic and rubber trim inside and out was then protected with Adam's Super VRT and In and Out Spray

The interior was wiped down with Adam's leather and Interior Cleaner, then protected with Leather Conditioner

looks good, but i'm anti electric and pro gasoline! you can guess why! (i'm a petroleum engineer)

 

I used to think that way... but this kind of changed the way I see "alternative energy" vehicles. Specifically Leno's line towards the end about how these cars can be the "saviors" of our beloved petrol cars. I'd love to see a day where your daily driver is hydrogen powered, then cars like the Camaro SS, Mustang GT, exotics, etc become something you do purely for recreation.
