  1. I saw on IG where DVK posted some new goodness headed our way in the form of a water activated sealant!!!!
  2. Brad, It really depends on the condition of the paint on your vehicles and what your goals are with the paint etc. My advice would be to look at getting one of the Adams detail kits along with a clay bar and start there. You can make a huge difference in how the paint will look and feel without bringing a machine into the equation. Brilliant Glaze and any of Adams waxes or sealants will give your paint some noticeable pop after you wash and clay the paint to prep it. I dont think black wax is really going to do all that much in reality, but I havent used it so difficult for me to really say one way or another. Patriot wax gets very high praise although I have not used it. I have experience with every other Adams LSP and I can tell you they are all top notch. Now moving into the DA polisher conversation, I have them and use them mostly polishing customers cars. Owning black cars, you are certainly familiar with swirls. The polishers job is to level the paint and get it as close to perfect as possible- aka swirl removal. I should have taken pictures of it, but what I was able to accomplish with the 2 step polish and Cyclo on some neglected 14 year old paint was truly amazing. Search some of the Adams videos on youtube there was one with a Corvette and you will see what the polisher kits on this site can accomplish. I am not familiar with anything from Dewalt other than my cordless drill. Is what you have a buffer or is it a random orbital?
  3. I hear you on that. Although we dont have snow here, it has been very cold. I did a rinseless wash last weekend and it wasnt too bad. Got some new goodies I am looking forward to using when the temps go up and the time changes.
  4. I disagree to a large extent with costs being incurred by a feature of a Website. This aint rocket science. We arent saying hey Adams please revamp the site or install artificial intelligence or predictive capability. Pretty sure the benefit they could gain from slaes is worth what little effort it takes to implement. Really?!?
  5. I use Detail Spray to dry after a bucket wash. Even use sometimes post rinseless wash. Love BG but use it less frequently. Like most, I throw BG in with application of Wax etc. Pretty sure BG wont build up like wax so it is something that can be used as much as you want. I have used Glaze on the windows lately. Need to see how that works now my Glass cleaning is on another level:)
  6. I really like that or a recently viewed items tracker. I did use the wish list some times on the old site. So yeah I would use it again. Sometimes I know I want something but its not a necessity yet or can wait for a sale so thats the beauty of the wishlist to me. Maybe if it was enhanced to shoot an email saying these items in your wishlist are on sale? Am I asking for too much? Maybe the site will become self aware if we keep this up.
  7. You bet. And just to add to what was previously stated, the QS is supposed to be optically clear so I think that is a big reason it will be your best option in addition to the other great things about QS. Some other LSPs may haze over time or slightly affect clarity of a lens plastic finish. At least in my experience.
  8. Oh and killer profile pic, best movie ever!
  9. Are the lenses cloudy at all? Revive could take some cloudiness out but if they are heavily oxidized you may need to get more aggressive with the cleaning ie a headlight resto kit with sand paper. And I agree with the Quick Sealant as the best for protection. Very easy to use and outstanding longevity.
  10. Sandman, I have been thinking about the same thing as I recently picked up some fleet maintenance on some big trucks. Obviously the first step is vacuuming out and getting all the big dirt and debris removed. The method I have been using for the cleaning solution is fill a bucket with warm water and a few ounces of car shampoo and an ounce of APC. I dont get it as soapy or foamy as I would for a car wash, but enough in there to do work on the grime. Then use a 1:1 dilution ratio of APC in a sprayer with a foam spray head to pretreat the floor with a good number of sprays. Then I use cotton terry towels dipped in the soap bucket or the tire and fender brush if the floor has layers of dirt. I keep a second bucket to rinse out the fender brush or towels. I also use dry towels to dry up the floor post cleaning. I also find the lug nut brush works well for those tight spaces under and around the seats and the door jambs. I really dont treat the floor with anything to make it shiny, but the trucks I have done looked massively improved. Hope this helps.
  11. Jim I would not be too concerned there. Use light pressure(if any) its really just the weight of your hand. Watch the Cyclo video where Dylan is polishing the Chevy truck. You can see how to tackle angles. The Cyclo should be very safe when used properly. Buffers are the tools you need to really be mindful of edges/angles with.
  12. Guys do these Dodge Challengers have a "hard" clear coat? I seem to recall a post about that. I know vettes do. So to the OP the clear coat hardness also plays a role in the pads you need to use. I learned that from Dylan in one of the videos where they introduced the Cyclo. On a side note I almost bought a 2012 Challenger and I remember it being swirled to sh%#. The Dealers unwillingness to cut a deal even after the car was hit in the lot after I test drove it caused me to look elsewhere. But I really dig the updates for MY 2014 and up. You have a sweet ride!
  13. What machine did you use? Might need to use a more powerful machine or more passes. But then again those may be etched into the paint and beyond what polishing can correct.
  14. How good does Adams glass cleaner smell? I dont have any yet, but most of the reviews seem to indicate the smell is awesome. And the previous tequilla comment seems to validate it!
  15. Yeah Dylan if you ever need a guinea pig, I have three vehicles in varying degrees of cleanliness. No children to spray though lol
  16. Cool thread. I go with the following: 1) Detail Spray (old version) 2) Green Apple 3) New Car 4) Gardenia 5) Honeysuckle
  17. Okay thanks for the info guys. I really appreciate it.
  18. I don't have anything but the Adams pads. Not sure what in the Adams line of pads compares to the Rupes pads.
  19. So that's two for washing. Thanks guys for the input. Any others? I really liken this to the conversation about when to go two bucket versus rinseless. I really think it is a judgement call where sometimes you need to do one thing and other times you do the other. Most of the time I will probably wash it. But when the car was only slightly dirty to begin with, I think it is safe to do this.
