  1. It was just out of curiosity. Saw a post and they mentioned doing that with a glass cleaning product. Got me thinking maybe the same would work with this product. I agree a little goes a long way on interiors, but sometimes on exterior windows I end up going through much more.
  2. Saw where the Mk II are available for pre order on one site. Any idea when Adams will have these bad boys? I am ready to pull the trigger:)
  3. Not sure this has been covered, but can we dilute the GC?
  4. Not sure whats in the 6 pack so my recommendation is based on everything else. The Glass cleaning kit is pretty nice and something I didn't pick up for a while. I was amazed how much of a difference it made. And also APC and the wheel brush and fender brush are pretty big items for cleaning up the wheels and tires if you don't have something already for that. But other than that, you are starting out strong. I would probably look to see which kits get you the biggest bang for your buck. There are quite a few good ones you can probably pick up everything you listed with a few kits.
  5. Any news on when the improved version is coming out?
  6. Thanks guys. I will try to go lighter and do a final buff/wipedown. For some reason I always want to use more!!
  7. I applied Americana and on top of that I have a few coats of BG and a few times where I've done some H2O.
  8. I think I am seeing high spots from my LSP on the car and wondered if anyone else notices that on theirs. Mind you, it isn't noticeable in most cases, but when the sun hits it just right you can barely see what looks like the LSP application patterns. I typically apply by hand so maybe I am applying too thick and causing it to look that way. Additionally, I usually don't use a seperate mf towel to do a final buff so maybe that's something I need to look at doing. Just wanted to check with everyone if this sounds like it is technique driven or just sort of the way things are when you put wax on a black car. I guess I need to do a strip wash and start over to identify if that is what I am seeing or something altogether different. Really don't think it is swirls.
  9. Thanks for the info Dan. I think I saw that post! I should have searched:( May be that my clay was on the way out anyway.
  10. Anyone else use soap for clay lube? Do you notice if it kills the clay? My clay bar was in decent shape it seemed after a few uses, but then I clayed using soap from the wash pad and it seems like the clay quickly degraded.I finished the car, but the clay seems to be trashed now. Really just wondering if that is sort of how things are when you use soap. I used the new Adams Shampoo.
  11. Mine acted that way a few times. I think the container was sideways a bit when it was doing that. Ever since then, I have paid attention to make sure it is lined up and haven't had the watery foam.
  12. Mine doesn't show any real sign of an issue and it is probably going on wash number 50. I don't use it on the whole car though and I am fairly conscious not to put much pressure on it during the wash process. The synthetic wash pad would have been thrashed at probably half the number of uses unless I was constantly using APC on it after every wash. So I like that aspect of the Wedge way better. It releases dirt so well. I was going through wash pads about every quarter or less.
  13. I knew there was a reason I liked that '64! Its neat how GM did some one off or custom cars back then! The grill really sets it off. My favorite Mitchell design is still the 64 and 65 Riviera. In my opinion the best looking car GM ever produced. I would put the Stingray right up there with a 57 Bel Air. Love the classic GM designs. BTW nice pics and info guys!
  14. Pic number 9 is my favorite. The classic Bill Mitchell Stingray lines are hard to beat.
  15. Well Dylan good luck! You have taught us a great deal about this craft. Thanks for all the time you spent answering all our questions and for all the in depth responses to even the most mundane questions.
  16. What. The. Fuuuudddgeeeahhh?!?
  17. Randall, Congrats on the new ride! Even new cars will have some level of contamination in the paint. Ideally, you want to remove those before sealing up the paint, but it is not absolutely necessary. I would say it is more important to do prior to polishing for various reasons. You can pretty much use the HGG at any point you wish. It is a synthetic sealant and I think it will probably be a good reload or topper to what you have already applied. You don't have to wait after you apply the HGG to top it with a wax. In my opinion, it is a bad idea to wash with dish soap. I really think it is better to do a strip wash with Adams Shampoo and 2 oz of APC instead or do a normal wash and then an IPA wipedown with 1:1 water to isopropyl alcohol. But that is really only if you want to completely cleanse the paint to start fresh at this time. You can clay the car before you go to polish it in the future or when you want to start fresh with your LSP. Like Adam said check to see if it is bumpy. Best way to do that is after a wash take a ziplock bag and put your hand in it and glide it over the paint. If it is rough then clay.
  18. Rupes 15 and a tub of Patriot. If I have any left over it goes to beer so I can drink some cold ones after I polish and apply that melted buttah!
  19. Erik I know what you mean. I had to think a little bit before pulling the trigger. I think I am going to use mine a lot on spot treatments where a bird bomb got me or there is a small isolated scratch. Just dont need my Flex for that. Gets a bit cumbersome. And bumpers seem to get hammered on a lot of my clients cars so it will get a lot of mileage there. But obviously my concerns may not be the same as the next guy.
  20. They are both great tools. I use my Cyclo waaayyyy more than I do the others. It is LEGIT
  21. I have PC, Flex, Cyclo, and Mini. Love all of them. I am really leaning towards adding the 15. I am sort of the same way with cars. I have three. Do I need three, no way. But its nice to have one that does certain things well and another that does other things well and a third that may not do anything all that well but serves as a dirty job vehicle. If that makes sense.
