  1. Who said it scratches the paint? Obviously technique plays a role in that, but just curious about where you saw this?
  2. The one thing I would say about the wedge is that it does release dirt extremely well. The wash pad will trap more and it can be very difficult to get out without using APC and rinsing it thoroughly. Both will get the job done and I believe you won't be disappointed with either.
  3. Yep he seems to genuinely love helping folks out. On another note, that's a sweet ride!
  4. This may be the third or fourth time I have corresponded with Ben. Each time has been a very good experience for me. I just want to let forum members and the team know how great this guy is at customer service and overall representation of the Adams brand. The guy is top notch and very quick to assist in whatever way he possibly can. I really appreciate everything you have done to help me out Ben Jammin. Cheers bud and Go Broncos!
  5. Tim, I really think the Double Soft is best for Rinseless, H2O GG, and definitely kills the others in LSP removal. And it has more quality/longevity. The borderless are decent, but it seems like they lose their effectiveness over a shorter period of time. It seems like mine get dreadlocks after a few months whereas the Dubs stay soft. I am doing a lot of RW and H2O application. Maybe it's just me.

Oh and one other piece of advice I would pass on, if you could get a fleet account or dealership type account you would be set. Might be easier said than done. I picked one up for truck maintenance for a moving co. through social media by chance.

  8. Hold up you don't see where the Double Soft gets all the love? Come on man!!!
  9. It's really difficult for me to pick a favorite. But if I could only have one towel it would be the doublesoft. I like it for Rinseless washing as well as LSP removal or Detail Spray wipe downs. It is so soft. My second favorite is probably the glass towel. No explanation needed as for use. Third is probably a tie between the GWDT and utility towel. All the towels play a role in various tasks. One towel is good for specific things where another towel may not work and vice versa. I started out with a bunch of single softs and now I have pretty much every towel on the site. Towels may be the most important part of a detailers Arsenal. A towel put to improper use or one that is low quality or in bad shape can ruin your finish or diminish the effectiveness of even the best wax/polish/detail spray etc. On the other hand, a high quality towel used properly for what it's intended will garner excellent results every time.

Here is my take Pros- Much less involved than traditional detailing(you are dealing with a very small area and typically one surface type) Takes much less time than a true detail Less supplies and tools needed easy to travel with and set up at a location versus a full detail Can transform the look of the car more than many other detailing services- I think this is what a business card needs to key on Cons- People may not see the value in it similar to the way some folks look at swirls they really just don't care as long as the car is "clean" Price sensitivity as a result of the first point Requires specialized tools and a butt load of tape

Chris, I think it's an excellent idea. I thought about doing the same thing. I was thinking I might get some biz cards and put them on cars with yellowed headlights. There is a company here charging $75 plus. I think that's probably a good price point but I might do a wider range starting at 40 or 50 because one price really won't cover it and some cars will be very quick and easy.
  12. Right there with you Jim! I just slapped a decent amount of products in mine. Tax return might be very useful:)
  13. Man this is one of the coolest threads I have ever seen!
  14. I used the combo of LPS BG and Americana a few times. The following wash really made me a believer because water was beading so well. Running low on Americana myself. I still have the old mini tub. I'd say go for it if you don't have a nice paste wax!
  15. I typically use the wheel brush, the lug nut brush, the wheel woolie and a microfiber towel for just about every wheel I clean. I bought the Turbo stick but I have not given it a try yet. Wheels really require a variety of brushes etc to get into all the spaces and I don't think there is "one tool" to cover each aspect. You have the face of the wheel which the wheel brush excels at cleaning, but then there are typically a good deal of intricate nooks and crannies where the wheel woolie will help and so will the lug nut brush. The DWC will knock about 90% of the brake dust and contamination out. After you use it to get the baked in gunk out you can probably go to regular soap. But some cars are worse than others so you may end up needing it more if you have aggressive high performance brakes.
  16. Ed if you haven't yet purchased or used the H2O GG I would recommend giving it a try. It works in conjunction with the LSP to enhance gloss and increase longevity.
  17. Michael, glad they took care of you. I think you will be very happy and as others have stated please post some pics of your ride all detailed up. I hope you picked up some H2O Guard and Gloss and Rinseless Wash. Those are relatively new in the Adams line and they are both game changers. For me, Adams never disappoints! Great products, great customer service, made in the USA (for the most part), what more could you ask for? Happy detailing and welcome to the Forum!
  18. Maybe he is talking about H2O GG
  19. Awesome Ed! I have always liked Nissan Maximas. The 4DSC!
  20. Good story. I agree with you about Mr Pitale and his company 110 percent. Nice Maxima. How does it drive? I had a 99 5 Spd SE and it was pretty fun to drive.
  21. Yeah I think I get close to 10 cars form a bottle if not more. A little goes a long way.
