  1. Derek, I am not sure you will see much difference if you are running the same size pad on both because the Mini has a bigger throw but the PC has higher OPM. I have not used my PC with anything other than a 7 inch pad so I really cannot give advice based on experience. I think the only benefit you would get would be ease of use and lower vibration. I am definitely a proponent of the Mini. Might be worth letting others chime in as well though.
  2. Another thing migh be relevant here. Sometimes the LSP can leave high spots that sort of look like this. Might be worth doing an IPA wipe down in one spot after washing the car to see if that is the case. I have seen that before on my car when using certain LSPs. So now I buff with the MF towel and go back over a final wipe down with separate towels.
  3. Lots of good responses and obviously Adams team has stepped up once again. I am right there with you Daniel.
  4. I usually brush mine out without the machine running on the Cyclo
  5. I think for the most part, if you are correcting, you want high speed 5-6 whatever you are comfortable with. Sometimes finishing I think you can slow it down to 4 or so, but even there I think that's only in rare cases. I think 5-6 is still the norm across all machines. Applying wax/ glaze/sealant is usually 3 on most machines and maybe 2 on the Flex.
  6. You will definitely notice a huge difference in smoothness and quality! Great polisher for sure.

    Shout out to Ben

Ben is the Man! He has helped me out a few times as well.
  8. Josh this company really gets it! They are quality and customer focused and it really shows in every aspect.
  9. Life goals for sure man that is awesome!
  10. These are powerful machines with high rates of speed and orbit. They will be loud. Think of a blender on full bore. Not circular saw territory, but definitely loud enough to disturb someone above you in a garage apartment type of setting. Not sure anyone would have decibel measurements. Maybe google that. Either way I doubt either is quiet enough to not disturb them.
  11. Just curious, but is "What's in the Box?" a reference to the movie Seven?
  12. Good point Rich. I think some have a "what's in the box?" list but seems most do not.
  13. I think the main reason would be to pull the more caked on contaminants into the thick wash pad. The Wash wedge works well to remove a good amount of dirt. But the lower areas with caked on dirt are probably better suited to a wash pad where the dirt can be trapped inside the fibers.
  14. I don't thnk the Duetto will have a mark II version. That would make me more prone to going with the 15 when the mk ii hits Adams. Just my .02 though.
  15. The GC is awesome! It's one product I neglected ordering for so long. I wish I had tried it much earlier!
  16. Yeah you could definitely go with a cheap polisher for tight spaces. There are some out there.
  17. Daniel, There are several great points being made here. I can tell you the Cyclo can correct some fairly moderate damage.especially with the MF pads. Like Darrell, I have experience with several of the Adams polishers. If you are looking for just one polisher, I would lean towards the Cyclo. It is very versatile and very high quality as well. You said your truck has rough patches. Do you have pictures or can you go into more detail? The Flex is a heck of a machine and I would agree you could get it and a Mini and pretty much be covered on most vehicles and situations. But if you just get one, I would lean towards the Cyclo with the Rupes 15 a close second. And yes I would wait for the new version of the 15 if you go that way. I know it seems like I am putting the Flex down. I am not, I am just thinking of your experience and what you are using it for along with the fact it seems you want just one. Technically, I think each polisher has a place if you do enough detailing. If you were doing a lot of cars and speed was the ultimate goal along with being able to correct hammered paint frequently, the Flex would be it.
  18. I have a couple of black cars. My advice would definitely hone your washing skills as everyone has pretty much stated. Watch the Adams wash videos they are very informative and straight forward. You can also Google car wash tips for YouTube videos out there which go into great detail as well.
  19. Are you referring to applying it over the top of the LPS after it hazes up? Or just layering it in normal fashion?
  20. I know it's not an Adams towel but there is a plush waffle towel on the market and I used it with the RW and it worked great. Hope Adams will look into offering a plush waffle weave one day. Their towels are really top notch.
  21. Do you have a hex grip applicator? I think those do a better job of laying down a thin even coat. I really think you are seeing high spots from too thick of an application.
  22. A lot of gaudy looking cars IMHO. The sema build off had some decent cars, but these look like they are trying too hard to stand out.
  23. I am with you. I want to buy from Adams and can wait for sure.
