  1. Can you describe a little bit more about what you did to remove it? Did you clay? What polish(es) did you use? What pads? What polisher did you use? Did the steps you took diminish the blemish to any degree?
  2. I think it was closer to 130 for 4 gallons. It has been a few years since they had it. I think it went away when they redesigned the site.
  3. Sort of wondering what if I need to adjust my technique some. Saw a video where they were using two towels. Sprayed down the windshield with the cleaner and had a damp cloth to clean and a dry cloth to buff out. Anybody else try that? I think I will try that tomorrow as well and report back.
  4. Guys I hope my chiming in here helps. I honestly think the cleaner itself might be part of the issue. I have the old GC and new as well. It seems to me like the old GC was very slick whereas the new cleaner somehow induces a bit of drag. I will do a side by side tomorrow and see if the actual differences lie more with the chemical . I jumped on the new GC as soon as it came out and at first I really thought it was better. But after having more experience with it I am not so sure. I did my windshield later in the afternoon yesterday and it looked good but this AM there were very noticeable streaks when the sun was directly in front of me. It was done with the new towel and new GC. I don't think it ever looked like that with the old GC.
  5. Yeah I brought this up in the past asking if they would bring it back. I sort of wonder if it was an unpopular option and thus difficult to justify. A lot of us on these Forums are probably much different than the typical Adams customer.
  6. Adams used to have an Essentials Gallon kit I wish they would bring her back! Or even do a 4 gallons of your choice for x dollar amount with specific gallons available. If I can recall the kit it was CS DS APC and Waterless Wash.
  7. Car shampoo DS APC and Rinseless Don't use much wheel cleaner because I wash weekly and my wheels never get hammered. Plus I mix a solution of Water Soap APC and Rinseless as my wheel cleaner.
  8. Right there with you. I am noticing a tad bit of swirling in my paint. And I do everything I can think of to keep it from getting damaged, but I think ultimately the MB will take that risk much lower.
  9. Mike I saw the same thing and wondered about it. It looked like they offered night time hours. I am interested to know what you find out.
  10. Description in the product page does list interior use. I think you are best served going with microfiber on the nav screen but in the other cracks and crevices this brush should do fine. Light pressure is key. I am sure if you pushed down on it you could potentially cause some scratches. I use it around the badges on my cars and have not noticed any scratches there. Can't say I have used it anywhere on the interior. I mostly use the utility towels there.
  11. Hey Chris, yes I do have a polisher or two. I think the MB is the next big ticket item I am going to get due to this very thing.
  12. Robert I'll see if I can get a pic or two
  13. Yep I am thinking about that MB! Maybe the only toy I don't have from Adams.
  14. Looking for advice or opinions. I don't know if I can get pics of it, but I have a feeling I might have marred my paint during the drying phase. The problem is you can only see it in certain light at certain angles. I used to think the directional looking lines were from over applied glaze or LSP. It looks like the direction I wipe to dry or remove/buff detail spray out. Maybe I need to do less "rubbing" with the waffle weave and leave that to the DS wiped own. I tend to try and dry the hood and roof and trunk 100% with the drying towel. The reason I think it's marring is I have not applied any glaze or LSP in several months. About the only thing I have applied is DS during the drying portion. Not sure that would cause this as little as it builds up, but maybe I sprayed too much? Anybody else seeing similar things in their paint? Maybe it's technique, but even if not, I don't think it's anything a light polish won't take care of. But now this is driving me more and more towards getting a MB. BTW it's black Infiniti paint. Seems to swirl up if you look at it sideways.
  15. No need to put any pressure with the Rupes. Do you have a MK II?
  16. My money would be,on the electrics in the house. I had a similar situation happen with a PC. Have you tried it anywhere other than the garage? How about maybe do a reset on the main breaker box? I swear my situation was a lot like yours. I have a very old house. The weird thing I noticed was it seemed to behave differently when plugged directly into the outlet versus via the extension cord. I'm s there an extension cord involved? If so, remove it from the equation and see if that makes any difference. Hope you figure it out.
  17. woolies are essential to a solid detail
  18. Jason's post is right on the money. Dirt, dust, minerals and small particles are all in constant contact with the car and in the water. I had this same question in the past after I washed my car to essentially knock off a layer of dust. It was one of those washes that only us OCD folks would understand. Car still looked great and really had little to no build up on it. The towel looked bleach white after I was done. Long story short, after all the feedback from the Forum, I have decided to wash mine after every use, no matter what. I think that's the best way to go.
  19. A few tips: 1) When I dry my car it s typically in the shade cooler temps 65-80 degrees F is ideal. Humidity and heat can impact that process a lot. When it's cool and in the shade you can take your time and allow evaporation and gravity to assist you to some small extent because the sun is not baking water spots onto the finish. 2) If you can pool rinse that helps. You can do that by running the water as smoothly as possible across the panels. It should lesson the amount of water you have to dry 3) On bigger vehicles, two towels may be needed. Face it you have a lot more places to collect water. I typically use two on just about every car I detail/wash. I like being able to flip to dry sides of the waffle weave after each panel. OH AND USE VERY LIGHT PRESSURE! Let the towel do,the work but putting any real pressure should not be necessary. 4) I detail spray and dry one section at a time and I typically do the Windows last with a separate towel. I start with the hood, roof, trunk, then sides, last Windows. Just my personal preference. 5) Afterward, a wipe down using a nice soft mf towel (or two) and detail spray to make sure everything is buttoned up is a good practice. If all else fails, get a Master Blaster or side kick to aid you. The less you are contacting black paint, the better!
  20. I've gone through two bottles of GG, What I have noticed is there's really no wrong time to apply it from a before wax after wax with without wax etc etc. It's as good at being a stand alone LSP as it is a topper or reload for an existing layer or layers. Works on Glass, Paint, Plastic, Wheels, etc. The only wrong time would be if you have just applied a good coat the week before and have a healthy layer of protection. What I am saying is it's rare but it can build up if you "over apply". Or if the paint is in bad shape, and needs claying etc, but that is obviously not a concern for you. Play around with it and see what works best for you. Just remember less is more and do one section at a time.
  21. And just to add to what I've already stated, I could swear Detail Spray V2 smelled different and better on the second or third gallon I bought. The first gallon was not my favorite. I know I saw where the bottling process got updated on the DS. So while that may not necessarily have changed anything in the base ingredients, maybe it changed the consistency of the batch and also affected the scent a little. Just a theory. Last point I will make, I have only disliked the scent of one Adams product and that was DWC and I have probably bought 5 gallons of soap and DS and countless 16 oz bottles of everything else. Best smelling cleaning products out there IMO.
  22. I've probably had 3 or 4 bottles and two gallons and never noticed any major difference in smell. Is the color the same? It's really something I wouldn't be overly concerned with as long as it doesn't smell bad. Test each and see how they perform. That's the main thing and I think the new soap is great. It's very slick and it suds up really well. I believe sometimes Adams will reformulate products with minor tweaks along the way. How different do they smell? Are they even close to each other? The scent is wild berry and to me it's subtle but smells great and I can definitely tell it has a berry scent. Is yours not in that category? Sometimes they also update the process of how they formulate or bottle the products so not sure any of that would explain what you are noticing. There could also be some change based on shipping/storage conditions. A lot of things could impact the soap, but again I would go back to how does it work.
