There's been some great feedback here. Looks like it'll be a Rupes polisher being added to the collection. It's only money, right? And a guy can never really have too many tools in the box.

Think I know what I want for Christmas. And then my bithday. The Bigfoot. And then a mini. They'll be perfect additions to my cyclo.

Again, great feedback. Exactly what I was hoping for and why I love this place.

The LHR15II is going to give you a substantial upgrade in cutting power compared to the Cyclo.

Now don't get me wrong, the Cyclo is a great tool and does a fantastic job, but its strongest attribute is its balance. Really its the only tool on the market that can claim lower vibration levels than the BigFoot family, but the higher OPM and larger stroke of the BigFoot 15 means it cuts faster and finishes clean.

It really comes down to what your goals/needs are. If you want something to do the bulk of the work faster than your Cyclo can then get a 15 Mark II. If you find yourself needing a tool for tight areas and edgework get the LHR75E Mini (it'll run the same pads as your Cyclo so thats an added bonus).

Adam, can we get a low bristle tire brush as well as the long bristled one?  Please?

Don't have one yet, but I even with the blue brush I wish the bristles weren't so long. I wonder if there's anything special about the tip of the bristles that would prevent someone from cutting them down?

I also wish they had a low profile version available of the brush that was maybe half the width.

I think it was closer to 130 for 4 gallons. It has been a few years since they had it. I think it went away when they redesigned the site.

When I run across grabby glass I use a very light spray of Detail Spray. Adds just enough lubrication to allow whatever towel I use to glide across the surface.

I would definitely love to see that 4 gallons of your choice option for x amount of dollars. I don't think there would be a set price though, because a gallon of say car shampoo is much cheaper than a gallon of VRT or leather conditioner (if that exists). Still it can't be that hard to calculate.

I think it's a great idea. If they only have certain gallons allowable for the deal, they could make it work. Most gallons are 40 and up? So it could be like 160-180 for 4 gallons, plus a coupon. Adams could easily justify lower total prices if you're spending that much all at once.

I washed my DD that lives outside 24/7 with the new Wash & Wax twice now in the last couple weeks.
I added a couple oz's of the W&W in my water and did a two bucket wash as usual.
I did a pool rince like I always do then proceeded to dry with my master blaster.
The very next morning it had rained and as you can see in the pic the new Wash & Wax left some serious beading.

I can see with that the New Wash & Wax will be one of Adam's favorite products.

Hey Chris, yes I do have a polisher or two. I think the MB is the next big ticket item I am going to get due to this very thing.

    Jamey,

as Scott suggested patting is less likely to induce marring. Also I personally like to use the drag technique where you let only the weight of the towel drag across the car. You won't get all the water, but you will get the majority of it, and then you can go back and get the small left over spots with a softer towel. This has worked well for me so far. Works well on my brother in laws black F150 as well. Hopefully this helps!

Looking for advice or opinions. I don't know if I can get pics of it, but I have a feeling I might have marred my paint during the drying phase. The problem is you can only see it in certain light at certain angles. I used to think the directional looking lines were from over applied glaze or LSP. It looks like the direction I wipe to dry or remove/buff detail spray out. Maybe I need to do less "rubbing" with the waffle weave and leave that to the DS wiped own. I tend to try and dry the hood and roof and trunk 100% with the drying towel. The reason I think it's marring is I have not applied any glaze or LSP in several months. About the only thing I have applied is DS during the drying portion. Not sure that would cause this as little as it builds up, but maybe I sprayed too much? Anybody else seeing similar things in their paint? Maybe it's technique, but even if not, I don't think it's anything a light polish won't take care of. But now this is driving me more and more towards getting a MB.

BTW it's black Infiniti paint. Seems to swirl up if you look at it sideways.

Glass is sort of my forte.

I use soap and water with a single soft to clean glass. Then I use Glass Cleaner and a glass towel to make them streak free. Once clean, I maintain with Glass Cleaner.

Airborne oils and chemicals adhere to glass. You need soap to get the oils off. Once these are gone, Glass Cleaner will be able to do its job.

Without pictures, but reading your process description, it is possible that the "marring" or micro damage has been caused by the methods used to dry the vehicle, and possibly some minute debris on the surface, or in the towels.

As long as they are as you described, light polishing should take care of them.

As far as prevention, a couple layers of LSP and then minimal contact with towels on a black painted surface should keep it pristine for a long time!

May not need a MB, perhaps you could try a Sidekick first, remove the majority of the water, then use Detail Spray and a soft MF towel to finish it up?

Don't feel like black is the only color this happens too either, just that darker colors really show any defects easier than lighter colors.

It's very possible you are inducing the marring into your soft infiniti paint.  Instead of 'wiping' you can 'pat' the car dry with your towels.  Less chance of marring that way.  Or just use less pressure, you really don't need any at all while drying.

Or, as you said-the MB is the way to go!!!

Check out this post for my comments on comparing a 15mm long-throw polisher with the Cyclo.  While this polisher was the Rupes 15mk2, I would assume that the same comparison would hold true for the 15mm long-throw G15, which I have not used.

In short, if you are leaning towards the long-throw polisher over the dual-head Cyclo, I would also recommend to go with the Rupes machine.

Hey Robert, thanks for contacting us! Our Car Shampoo formula has not changed since the new blue Car Shampoo was released more than a year ago. I would be happy to do a return on that gallon if it is not performing well or if you are not completely satisfied with it so that we can investigate it and get another one out to you.

Please send an email to orders@adamspolishes.com with the order number and a quick summary of the issues, and we can start the return process for you. Thanks!

Received my towels yesterday, washed them before using, and air dried overnight.
Then used them very early this morning on both interior and exterior automobile window surfaces, cleaning with Adam's Glass Cleaner.

One word description would be: AWESOME

Great results, no streaks, no "sticking" or "rolling" super easy to use, with great results!

So, decided to give my brand new VW Golf R a proper clean and polish. (Cliff Notes at the bottom)
I had a clear bra installer try to put on a clear bra for me but scratched it all up during install, he ordered another clear bra (XPel) and we set up another appointment. He used the "best" application squeegee he could get so he could avoid scratching the second one, but he failed, called and said he couldn't do it and gave me my money back. Long story short, my hood was full of scratches from installing/removing/installing/removing the clear bra.
So, I pull out my trusty Porter Cable polisher and start out with the Menzerna medium cut polish (Intensive Polish). After 3 long attempts at removing all the scratches, I pull out my most heavy cut compound Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound, and I work it, and work it, destroying one of my pads in the process! Okay, a few of the scratches are now gone, but there are so many left. I go back to the Menzerna and work it 3 more times, arms shaking, hands shaking I remember why I have a love/hate relationship with detailing! I decide to finally just F'it, I'm done, 3 hrs on just the hood and all the micro scratches are still there laughing at me.
Now I at one time detailed cars between jobs and on weekends to earn a little money, I've used, Turtle Wax, Meguiar's, NuFinish, Chemical Bro's, Poor Boy's, Zaino, Menzerna, P21s, and so many other's. A few years ago I got a bunch of Adam's Polishes, I really loved his Detail Spray, and Machine Polish, but really that was the only too products I used as I had a whole lot of the Menzerna left and it would take me years to use it up, but I did get Adam's Swirl and Haze Remover and Revive Hand Polish. So after 3 hours of sweating, I decided, since I have it what could it hurt?
I went over my scratches two times with the Swirl and Haze Remover and once with the Revive Hand Polish, it wiped off 5000% better than the Menzerna and 90% of the scratches that were left were gone! I about flipped out, I wasn't even using Adam's new and improved products! All my other stuff went straight into the trash! Adam's makes the best detail products I've ever used in 20+ years of detailing cars!
Cliff Notes: Had scratches on hood, worked hours trying to get them out, then used Adam's stuff and 90% of the scratches were gone in only minutes. Use Adam's! NO, I don't work for them!
