Then you need a coating. It will help. It won't eliminate. But it would help for sure. Pm if you want ideas.

Duh - I didn't think about that at all since OP sounded like he saw leakage from that spot - good catch Dan.

Ricky Bobby got a reaction from PT3 in Mystery Box With A Twist!
Considering most people here blow tons of money on mystery boxes when they are run every two weeks or so I would imagine that the idea above with the $10 wild card box having the potential for a whammy (as in just $10 worth nothing more - but does have potential to be say up to $50 "jackpot wild card") is a good idea.

I'm not advocating empty boxes just throwing a bit more chance into this thing is all

And yes I am thinking PRESS YOUR LUCK from Game Show network lol

That's why I don't do mystery boxes even without whammys lol. I don't gamble.
I would prob die though reading about people with $200 boxes and people with only a frisbee in theirs.

You could really light the gamblers up by giving more jackpots and also equalizing that with a few WHAMMY boxes where you aren't guaranteed a certain dollar amount.

That would surely be a fun Mystery Box round lol

^I agree with Dan - buy it during one of their sales for sure - also the "other retailer" you pay sales tax in probably more than half the states in the US right now - I appreciate vendors that don't have retail operations in my state so I don't have to pay more tax to the government than I already do LOL

Personally I would rather my wife have to lean over the hood/roof and possibly get her top wet with suds, its the little things that make me happy after a few years of marriage - so no wash pole for me.

Phil everyone is pretty much spot on - If you are constantly obsessing about keeping it dust free and doing wipedowns, those will make the swirls pop up a lot faster.  Do your GDWM washes and full bucket washes when you need, try to not touch it in between those washes, and try to not ever do "spray and wipe" washes on black.

You will most likely need to go over it yearly with at least the white Finishing Polish and your Cyclo - I'd call it the "yearly black vehicle maintenance" regimen -

Keep a good coat of Paint Sealant on there and whatever else you use to boost the protection in between - I'd stay away from traditional waxes on a daily driver as they do tend to attract dust, unlike polymer sealants.

In italics is a perfectly fine regimen - continue doing it.

In non-italics is where you are getting your micromarring - you need to eliminate the wipedowns in between GDWM washes or traditional washes.

Whenever I wash I use the GDWM with several towels. Unless I hit some rain, then I always power wash rinse, then proceed to GDWM.

And if I really hit serious weather I do a full bucket wash.

Otherwise, I'll do little spray and wipe 'sessions' in between washes to keep her on point

Are you sure the car wasn't recently repainted?

Looks like the paint hasn't cured enough thats why you are having the problem with foam and microfiber pads and multiple polishes - I don't think its on your end -

Ricky Bobby got a reaction from PHOKUS in Is this salvageable???
^This - you could alternatively just go with 3000 grit wetsanding first in order to cut down on the amount of dead clear to remove -

But yes, be sure you aren't concerned with trashing a few pads - and they will be trashed working on that lol

Guz is on point. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Think about it this way you probably take baths with muscle soaks and special soaps and your bath doesn't suds up. We stopped taking bubble baths when we were kids right? Bubbles are fun for baths (and car washes) but it's everything else but the bubbles that's important when washing and bathing both yourself and your car.
