  1. Looking for advice about applying the ceramic coatings efficiently. I bought all three (paint, trim and wheel) to apply to my wife's new car. Should I just take a long weekend and do all three at the same time? Or should I do each one separately? Even though we received the car with just 10 miles on the odometer, the dealership still managed to put some light scratches and swirls on the paint. So, I'll have to do a little bit of paint correction.
  2. Given that diluted Rinseless Wash is so similar to WW, I'm curious if you can use that on the ceramic coatings. Would be much more economical than either WW or Boost.
  3. Jon, thanks very much for taking the time to post pics and all of your thoughts about the ceramic coatings. As someone who just ordered the coatings, I was feeling very apprehensive about the process. Your post made me feel much better about it.
  4. Hey Beemer, my Texas brother. I wasn't very clear in my original post. I'm definitely going to buy the three different ceramic coatings. What I was wondering was if the other products (besides the coatings) in the three kits were similar enough that I just had to by one kit.
  5. Lexus GX 460. It's the same car as she has now and she's never found one she likes better. It probably wouldn't be my pick but it's what she likes.
  6. Wife is getting a new car soon. I'm thinking about starting off right and using the ceramic coatings on the paint, trim and wheels. My question is, can I buy the kit for the paint and then just add the bottles of ceramic coating for the trim and wheels? In other words, do I have to buy the whole kits for all three? I've got a lot of Tire & Rubber cleaner for the trim but I didn't know if the other kits had something different for the coating prep than what is in the ceramic paint kit. Thanks and God Bless America!
  7. I've got to replace the trim on two windows on my wife's 10-year-old car. Problem is dealer is quoting $225 per window, which seems high to me. Wondering if there is a cheaper way to get this done. All I need to replace on each window is the trim piece at the bottom of the window where the glass comes out.
  8. Stole this one off of Facebook. Thought it was Adam's worthy.
  9. I've noticed since switching to T&RC that I've had to go over some tires a 2nd or 3rd time to completely remove oxidation and blooming. I never had to do this with APC but I have to do this on approximately 30%-40% of the tires I clean now. So I was wondering if the APC is stronger than T&RC, or maybe the T&RC is stronger and so is removing more stuff off the tires. This is more of a question out of curiosity because I'll continue to use the T&RC. I really love how it prepares the rubber and trim to receive whatever dressing or treatment I apply afterwards.
  10. I agree with John 100%. I love H2O on paint but don't really love it on glass or trim.
  11. Bosch Icons were the winner in this thread too but there were a few others that people recommended: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/29788-wiper-blade-recommendations/?p=465538
  12. Shine Doc did a good video of this last year: https://youtu.be/s5rQFQWXUoI
  13. Howdy, Chris. Good to have you on the forums.
  14. Had all of the same questions about the Ceramic Boost. Might be a good replacement for Quick Sealant. On paint, curious whether it would go on before or after LPS. Guessing after, but if it lasts "several months" then I guess you could use it instead. (But I won't cuz I'm old and set in my ways.)
  15. I'll be the third to vote for the dishwasher. Important tip: use only dishwashing detergent in the dishwasher. I learned the hard way that laundry detergent in the dishwasher makes a bubble machine. On the bright side, our floors were never cleaner.
  16. Howdy Bryan. Welcome to the forum. Lots of good folks giving good advice on here. I'm just up the road from you in College Station so maybe our paths will cross someday. Enjoy!
  17. Need to make room for new products so I'm giving away some shiny stuff that I got from several mystery boxes. Would like to ship all three together. Includes two bottles of H20 G&G and one can of Americana (old formula).
  18. Shane, I can't answer your question about whether different polishers will leave noticeable differences on the finished product. But I have been wrestling with the same question you are in terms of buying a 2nd polisher. Like you, I have a Cyclo and am thinking about adding another polisher. For me, I'm interested in getting something that can get into tighter spots. I've thought about buying a polisher designed specifically for tight spaces, like the Rupes BigFoot Nano iBrid, but it's a lot of money to spend on something that can only do small areas. The other option I'm thinking about (which is much cheaper) is buying the 4" cordless drill backing plate from Adam's. That way, I can use the same pads I use on the Cyclo with my cordless drill. I would imagine you could do something as large as a door panel and would also be able to work on small spaces and headlights.
  19. Several months ago, I started a thread to ask if I could combine the strip wash (old formula: reg. shampoo + apc) with claying to save a step. Unanimous answer was 'no' because the apc would break down my clay so that it wouldn't work as well or last as long. Would be great if the new strip wash could be used with clay.
  20. Sorry to hijack the thread but can we really clay with the strip wash? That would be an incredible time savings.
  21. Good job! Love seeing those before and after pics. While I enjoy taking care of my vehicles, I get the most pleasure from detailing when I do it for my friends and family.
  22. Apparently October is National Car Care month (along with April). I didn't know it was an actual thing until this evening. I am absolutely shocked that there are people out there who care for their cars only two months out of the year! Actually I think it is a good idea to remind folks to make sure their vehicles are performing well going into the winter months. (Kinda like reminding folks to replace their batteries in smoke detectors twice a year.) http://www.carcare.org/car-care-month/
