Got my truck some new tires yesterday. Of course the first thing I had to do was put some VRT on them! Don't worry, I'll clean them later.

I recently started watching Sam the Cooking Guy on YouTube. This guy is very genuine and hilarious while at the same time helping to teach people how to cook. One of his favorite sayings is "Make America Cook Again" 😄

One dish we have really enjoyed is his Teriyaki Chicken on a stick.

Chicken thighs marinated in a homemade marinade and grilled.

I have really learned a lot from his videos and his simple yet effective approach. He does not censor himself very well and his son does a good job of editing, but sometimes they allow some language to fly! 🤪

I have a 4th option for you. The paint might be soft. So soft that you could be doing more damage. Japanese clear is usually regarded as being soft but there is always the exception. I remember watching a video by Larry Cosilla about soft paint. He ended up using a heavily watered down compound and a foam pad. He had to clean out the pad after each 2X2 section IIRC.

I am no expert so take this with a grain of salt, LOL!

@Hangar Pilot I'm on the Lexington side of Columbia, SC, so that would make it about a 3 hour run from High Point.
@chops1sc You are a lot closer at just about an hour away.

By early summer my new shop should be completed from the information I received earlier this week, so we get to the point that regional travel and reasonable social distancing is acceptable, we can do a weekend get together.

If it is perfectly smooth, it will be fine, but anything rough or porous will leave traces of dried wax.

Agreed with @RayS, don't use on trim. You could also use VRT vs tape to make removal of any accidental application super easy.

VRT has been a total game changer when it comes to avoiding/minimizing leftover wax on the porous trim, plus the satin finish it gives is perfect... One of my favorite products

Of those, the Ceramic Liquid Wax is definitely the most durable, so I recommend you apply that first as your base layer. CS3 is a silica-infused waterless wash type of product, very similar to Ceramic Waterless but separated from the Adam's ceramic line on purpose, so use it like you may have with the original Waterless Wash to clean, add shine, and now some protection, too. They'll work great together as they're both in the same product family. Enjoy!

Don't forget to get an extension cord that is of the correct wire gage. You can burn up your expensive polisher or air dryer real quick with the incorrect size!

I always reapply the LC at least on the dash and the tops of the door panels. Mainly for the added scent but the extra protection helps.

So I guess I have to answer my own post, LOL!

The good news is, the tape did not affect the trim restorer.
The bad news is, the tape didn't like to stick to the trim restorer.
