I called and talked to Ashley at the time.  She's since moved on and Ben took over...who's also now moved on.  We talked about my needs, volume, etc and I was able to get setup.  It's been great.  I like the idea of a wholesale website a lot.  I'd also like to see some "pro only" products pushed out.  I'm sure that won't be an entirely popular opinion, but it would help drive potential clients to some of the accounts for service.  We don't do a lot in the way of resale.  Usually just small maintenance supplies and such here and there.  We use our wholesale account mainly as shop supplies for our work.

That does bring up the question of if people would buy locally if they had the option?  It's difficult since sometimes with the sales Adam's does, you'd have to match them which means little to no profit on many items despite needing to keep some in stock.  The struggles of small business ownership...but that's a whole separate discussion I guess.

Either way, I'm looking forward to the new Pro-line launch.  Maybe I'll shoot a follow up email today.

Bianca@adamspolishes.com is the current contact. They are/have hired a new wholesale/reseller account manager and will be sending out information soon.  If interested would send Bianca an email.  Yes, it is difficult as a reseller to make a good margin when Adams puts out a 20% off sale...but you will also get customers who want a product now and buy from you too.  Many do not want to bother with ordering online.  I just refer my customers and friends to the Adams sight when it would cause me to lose money to match their prices.  Additionally, I have to charge sales tax on items, along with B&O.  But at least going to car shows and car club meets are tax deductions under the business for promoting products, to include mileage coverage or if car is strictly for company business then practically everything with the car is deductible & then there is depreciation. ;)

Well this all happened yesterday but now that I’m finally home again after 3 months, we went and got the wifey a new car. I’ve never been a GM fan but damn she looked too good in the Camaro to pass it up, so here she is. Breyanna names her Hydra. It’s a 2018 2.0L turbo, plenty for her and honestly for me as well. With the paddle shifters this thing will pull you back in the seat.. pretty insane really out of such a small engine.

From a definite Camaro fan...CONGRATULATIONS!  I have a friend with the hyper blue metallic 2.0L Turbo, he actually takes it to our bracket racing drags, he does really well too! FYI, join Camaro6.com and then you will find lots of people from your area to hang out with.  As well, there is an Annual Camaro Rally in Sturgis the last weekend in June (it starts the Thursday prior).

  3. DetailedbyTate cart looks similar to one that I have seen at Harbor Freight.  As for the Costco item, that is a workbench, not a true cart.  It has a 500lb capacity so that you can stand on it and work on tall vehicles.  The overall height is only a little over 3 feet.... here is the spec:

Our buddy of 13 years had to be put down in September.  He was mostly my wife's cat, but he's the only one we've had over the years that I enjoyed having around.  He was a good cat.

What a gorgeous guy!  My heart goes out to you about having to ease his life.  There are cats and then there are those who are so much more in our lives. Hugs!

Our furry family members: Chocolate Standard Poodle - Rika VanDenHaas, Black Standard Poodle - Reanne Murtaugh, Buff Cockapoo - Martin Riggs, Doberman - Lee Butters (we just call him Butters).  Furry family members that have passed away over the years (not pictured) - Black Cockapoo who's name was Roger Murtaugh, he passed away last year, we also have had a Black Toy Poodle named Lorna Cole & a Silver Toy Poodle named Leo Getz.  Am sure some of you will make the connection on the names ;)

Hey Shane. Yes, I have clayed the windows, and some came up. The photo's here are after claying. As of now, I just want to nail down a polish material and pad and give it a whirl. Thanks

Late Welcome!  Were you ever able to get the water spots out of the glass?  I would think that you could use CLR on it...being careful to not get it on the paint.  Start out with a dilution.  Rather than spraying, put it on a cloth and then lay the cloth on the window.  Do a test area and see how that turns out.

  7. Welcome!  Depending on whereabouts in BC you might see me cruising around the area! I live in Washington State, but travel usually once a month to Langley/Vancouver BC to visit with the Vancouver Camaro group.  Will also be heading to Kamloops in August for a group gathering.  Hope to see you around.  BTW... there is an Adams reseller up in BC area somewhere, saw him at a car gathering once.  If you come south into Washington state (Bellingham area), and need product let me know, as am a Northwest Washington reseller of Adams Polishes.

I have always said this is a good tool to get people buy new cars or trucks, give them something newer or nicer than what they have.  But so far everytime I have taken my truck or when I have my ZL1 they gave me a pile of crap Malibu.

Yup, the last couple times I took one of our cars in for oil change or service they gave me a loaner Silverado to drive.  When we were ready to trade the Cadillac in, we got a Silverado HIgh Country in place of, which I love.  If had not drove one previously may not have gone for it.  But then again we are treated pretty good at the dealership where we have our work done on our cars, as we have purchased five vehicles from that dealership (we still own all five vehicles) and are about to purchase our 6th, a 2018 V8 2SS M6 Camaro Convertible Hot Wheels Special Edition!  Will look great next to our other two Camaros.  However, we are thinking of selling our 2014 C7 Laguna Blue Z51 Stingray but will not decide that until December...that kind of depends on work situations, how retirement funds/investments are working out, and how much we will be driving it considering we drive the Camaros more.

Oh, and got furloughed thanks to the government shutdown. Can't wash the car because it's too cold. Quite the day!

Sorry you got furloughed, but at least you are back for a couple of weeks.  I am a CTR so did not get furloughed, but it sure was quiet in the office with only 7 of us there vice the normal 40 or so.  Most everyone else didn't have a lot to do as not a lot of military to work with today, whereas I was super busy because all those separating wanted to make sure they could still get in to sign their DD214's.  Busy day but a good one overall.

Awesome token of thanks, Lenore. Being an Air Force guy, I'll overlook his choice of service branches (;)) and celebrate his service to our country...and his shared love of delicious goodies!

Hey now, I am married to a retired Sailor...lol.  Appreciate the Air Force (and all services), as that was what my Uncle Don retired from before he went and worked from Grumman where he was pne of the test pilots on the F-14!  The one he flew in is in the Grumman Aerospace hall of fame, as it actually survived the testing.

A sailor who was getting out of the service today was so overwhelmed with my giving him a box of six that he about cried. He was so sweet & thankful. Am sure he and his friends enjoyed. Gives me a great feeling to make others so happy with baked goods & hopefully encourages them to make time to do things they enjoy too.

  12. Todays cupcake porn...Buckeye cupcake, filled with peanut butter fudge, topped with a cream cheese bittersweet chocolate frosting & Unicorn sprinkles with silver kaleidoscope glitter. The buckeye cake is almost black as use a combo of Double Dutch processed cocoa & King Arthur Flour Black Cocoa. Unicorn sprinkle because it was a new set of sprinkles found today...so had to bake something to put them on. Plus the weather has been cruddy & cold so not able to clean the Camaros so can start polishing them up for spring driving. Oh well...still have couple months before then...

We don't even have a bakery in our town.  You don't know how you're killing me with those pictures.  Been wanting a GOOD eclair forever.  Your friends are very lucky!   And you better know I was kidding with you about banning you.  Would never.

Oh I figured as much...lol.  Plus I have thicker skin than that. We have a couple bakeries, but when your friends & coworkers tell you that your cupcakes are better it does make you feel good. Funny you mention eclairs, that is on my list to make this next month, as never have done & want to see if can. Found a good espresso pastry cream recipe to try with it to.

  14. Also, I have a day job that I work at 40 hours each week. The detailing, selling of Adam's Polishes & Novistretch Performance Covers, and baking are all just things that I make extra time to do as it all is fun/cathartic to me.

I'm considering banning her just for torturing us with those sweet treats and that great garage!!

And just for the record, I had to drive 35 miles tonight just for some KFC for dinner.  Tasted good though.

We do not have a KFC nearby either (it is about 35÷45 minutes sway too...so I usually just make my own.

Oh and you don't really want to ban me...as then you won't get to see the Irish Car Bomb cupcakes that I made for a friends retirement from the Navy...or the lemon cornmeal with mixed berry compote & mixed berry swiss meringue frosting I made for a 17 year olds bday....

Ditto ZMAN. But to me, that just looks like additional room to build another kitchen and bake more cupcakes, etc., for us lowly forum members!

I actually do want to turn one or two of the storage rooms into a cottage bakery, or just build one for a commercial bakery...as we have 10 acres overall....5 undeveloped. Then I could have my three favorite things to do in one place...cars, coffee, & cupcakes!

Thats a great looking building, how big is she? I am in the process of building one for myself.

Over 6000 as ft. It has a 2 bedroom apt with a half bath downstairs & full bath with double sinks & separate shower & full bathtub. There is also a game room with a big TV (think 65 or so inches), foosball, air hockey, pool table, chess/checker table, and shuffle board. Then a separate video/movie room with another 65" LCD tv.  The bottom floor of the garage can hold six cars if stacked right and there are three storage rooms...one which you all have seen that holds my Adams supplies.

Thanks, have a job, have a family & puppies to feed, and have a wonderful garage which would be expensive to find equivalent...lol

Vegetarians avert your eyes. The Hubbs took me out to a new place in town for my bday. The dinner was of course amazing. No need to go on about that. But behold the butcher bar, and (below the dining room) the dry aging room where the prime beef cuts age a minimum of 28 days. It was awesome!
