  1. Were you in your 20s or 30s? ? P.S. We love you, Rich!
  2. You're gonna need a bigger shelf!
  3. As if on queue! I'm happy to see they took care of you.
  4. Since your original issue was Adam's not honoring the 110% guarantee and you're considering other brands, in which case you'll need to start all over anyway, I'll go back to my recommendation above...call them back and ask for Emery/ @Emery@Adams.Tell him about your situation, and I'll go ahead and say he will take care of you. Just give it a try.
  5. If it were me, I'd try calling back one more time to speak to another rep. Not sure where Dan is...vacation, maybe?...but if you do call back, ask for Emery. He's head of customer service and will take good care of of you.
  6. Welcome to the addiction, Fred!
  7. You'll need to do another strip wash. To clarify, I think, @2012srt8 post, use SW, orr 3-4 ounces of Eco APC on with your normal wash bucket and CS mix. Another option is Ceramic Prep. I would also normally recommend liquid Blue Dawn, but not sure if it's strong enough for the CPW.
  8. Thanks, Ray! Happy that turned out well for you. And Joe, if you do take the travel kit, consider including BG so you can touch up the Jeep from the drive and then throw another coat on right before you get there. It can be layered and doesn't bulid up, so don't worry about decreasing your visual appeal...it will shine like a new penny! One other thought before you leave, seal your glass. Adam's GS is awesome and will make bugs, etc. easeir to remove. And of course help with rain.
  9. Just realized this went unanswered. Yes, you can try polish without the clay for that spot. But the clay might help remove something that's there, if it's not etching. If you're gonna polish, may as well do the whole hood so there's not a difference in appearance. If that's the case, I would say yes, clay it all.
  10. That sucks. ? Plastic razor blades could work well for that, at least for any gooped on spots. You'll want to lube well and get the concrete wet to soften it some. Quick Google search showed 1:1 vinegar water disloves it pretty well. Shouldn't scratch, but be prepared to polish a little just in case. Here's a video I found. But I don't recommend the spoon! ?
  11. Looks great, Chas! Surprised to hear about not liking HGG on white...it works wonders on mine. But still, the Jeep looks awesome.
  12. Wow! You can't get by without some pics of that haul, though... And Colton is awesome; happy to hear he took good care of you. Give Adam's a call on the towels. They're shipped from the HQ so they will take care of you in a heartbeat.
  13. Unless you cut it too short and wind up with 6 extra drops! But that would make a good entry for this thread. ?
  14. Those look like WW, DS and CB. Which would all make sense for what they're advertised to do...clean, shine and protect. The towesl look like DST and a WW towel...which also make sense. Think I'll save the $100 since I have all those...but it gives me ideas on cleaning the kitchen!
  15. I actually said "wow" out loud! That is one sexy looking Vette. Welcome back, Denny!!
  16. First, welcome! "Better" is in the opinion of the user. HGG is an acrylic resin, offers awesome shine, smells like grape, and should give at least a month of protection. CB is a silica based product, offers great shine, smells like pistachio (at least the first version, not sure about 2.0), and is advertised to give 4-6 months of protection. Up to you!
  17. Agreed with @LSX Maestro on not doing them back to back. They're different base materials; HGG is an acrylic resin and CB silica. Sometimes mixing different products doesn't work well and can reduce the visual appeal of the end result. HGG should last about a month or so, so apply the CB at that point and see what you prefer. Just know the new CB is advertised to last 4-6 months, so switching back may need a strip wash. Here's a great article that talks about layering, too:
  18. Essentially, it's damage to the clear coat by whatever was on there. Bird droppings left too long on paint are a common cause. If that's what it is, it won't be fixed by polishing and may require wetsanding, if you want to go that far. Recommend you try both clay and Revive (order both) if the wash doesn't fix it. We can all circle back after those have been tried.
  19. Might be etching, possibly bird dropping residue or damage it caused. Who knows. But wax doesn't remove contaminants and the like. Revive Hand Polish would be ideal to try, as well as clay. If neither of those work, do you have a polisher you could take to it?
  20. I'm with @Rich on this. Doesn't appear to be an Adam's towel, at least not one they've sold since then (or over a year before since I've been a customer).
