  1. bump Reminder: I have something Adam's to send to the winner, so keep the pictures coming!
  2. Welcome to the addiction, Jason! Nice lookin' Beemers.
  3. Watched as a couple "washed" their car with the gas station windshield wands. Snickered, then teared up a little. I really need to start carrying Adam's paraphernalia to hand out in these dire circumstances.
  4. I've also heard warmer temps/humidity can increase the off gassing. Since you're in TX in the summer, that may be a factor right now, too. But BG is an awesome remedy. And it makes the car smell like pina colada for a bit, too!
  5. Famous last words of most everyone on here! Mystery Boxes/Buckets are a great way to build your collection, so if you miss out on the current run, "follow" the Mystery Box thread and/or keep an eye on the Adam's website for the next one. As for VRT vs TS, I haven't made up my mind yet which I prefer, but Dustin (Mariner) brings up some great points.
  6. I'm going to offer a different opinion... I tend to switch back and forth, but Wash & Wax can be used as often as you'd lika. It's not actually a wax, but a silica-based soap. Use with or without HGG. According to the product page, the new ultra plush drying towel is actually designed to be used "thin side" down. It won't scratch or swirl, don't worry. Adam's uses high quality MF. I use the red wash mitt, haven't tried the pads yet.
  7. Somehow just noticed the new profile pic, Eric. First I've read about BG maybe not playing nice with tint. What have you seen happen?
  8. Yep, know it well. Stayed there, shopped there, eaten there, even went sledding there with the family. And of course, drove right through on the way to skiing and fun in the mountains! Beautiful area. You're gonna need to head back in towards Denver and make a visit to Adam's HQ. Well worth the trip.
  9. Welcome from Colorado Springs, Keith! Where in CO are you?
  10. ...or when you get to smell WW all over again.
  11. Welcome to the next stage of the addiction, Adam! Lots of great info on here, and even better people. Enjoy!!
  12. Good point...I may have crossed the streams. Which one are you planning to use, David?
  13. Or spray it in the driveway, don't hose the drops, lay down cardboard, and enjoy the new slide!
  14. The Adam's products are color-coded. Just use the white pad to apply the FP - it'll buff at you go - then a MF towel (e.g., SST or DST) to wipe off. Same goes for the PS, except use the grey pad. Be sure to post some pictures when you're done!
  15. +1/2 (I have yet to slip on it ) Oh, and it smells incredible!!!
  16. Never used them, but why not Metal Polish #1 and #2 with MF pads? And you didn't necessarily ask, but what about adding some LEDs between the metal and (planned) black background?
  17. Hopefully the car was yellow before the buttery! Either way, looks awesome! Nice work, R.
  18. Either LC or ID will work great. Both have UV protection and smell really good. I don't recommend VRT, at least on the dash, as it may add too much shine and affect your vision.
  19. Oops! Looks like one of us needs to link this post to the "Don't Do's of Detailing" thread...http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/33019-the-dont-dos-of-detailing-thread. That's a winner!
  20. Nice work, Jen. And I see what you did there with the GOT reference...
  21. Shine Doc article on this: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/28890-ask-the-shine-doc-ep-11-engine-bay-detailing-what-to-cover/ And a couple Adam's engine bay cleaning videos: Post some pictures when you're done!
  22. I've never taped rubber and trim, just treated it with VRT before starting to clay. Makes removing any residue super easy. Plus saves time. If yo decide to do so anyway, whhat sort of tape are you planning to use? Be sure to NOT use any type that seal the edges... Taping emblems, though, can reduce chances of damaging the pads since edges can be sharp.
  23. Even posts on the Adam's forum can have a nice reflection!
