  1. Just saw a commercial...Olive Garden has the Tour of Italy going on right now. Maybe that will be a good alternative, Rich. Welcome back, Greg! That bike looks to have stolen a wheel from the "car" in pic #2.
  2. The addiction has only just begun. You've been warned.
  3. I recommend you move them inside. No worrying that way about whatever temps you do or don't see. Would hate to read a reply from you in the future that starts with, "If only..."
  4. Don't not check the weather forecast before doing a strip wash. But if you do forget, hurry! Then take a pic for the forum.
  5. ^^^Yep. Hadn't considered coating prep, but I only have a small bottle from the Trim Coating kit, so iso/water it is for me.
  6. Nope. That pretty much sums it up!
  7. Rob hit the nail on the head - don't drive without some sort of protective layer on the car. Should something hit your car...bird bomb, tree sap, etc...you could do some damage to your paint. So I'd recommend strip wash (vs. normal since you want to take everything off before you start the process), clay, polish, alcohol wipe down (50/50 isopropyl alcohol with blue waffle weave towels) to remove the oils, wet the car, and apply HGG (it can protect the car for 2-3 months, so you'll have more than enough time). Then, next session, strip wash (again, to remove the HGG), check for any new swirls and correct if necessary, and proceed to seal, glaze and wax. Post some pics when done!
  8. Cool setting for the pic, too. Looking forward to more of the other cars.
  9. Ok, good answer! Enjoy the upcoming season.
  10. Welcome, Rob! We were stationed at Maxwell for a couple years. Loved the Robert Trent Jones golf courses, and Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. But the real question to you...Roll Tide...or...War Eagle?
  11. Are they rock chips? And/or on your headlights? Hard to tell from the close-up on the first and angle of the second.
  12. It was overcast and rainy - the car is white - but I had to take a pic. First rain after PS. P.S. Top left is the reflection of a light post, not a scratch!
  13. A little Adam's "Red, (bright and shiny!) White, and Blue! Location: Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, CO. Good luck to all!
  14. What should be illegal is the water bill. Noted. I had to spend so much on the water bill, though, I needed to save somewhere. (But not at the expense of Adam's ).
  15. Sure thing. The BW is good stuff, just understand it won't last as long as a sealant (or coating, if you want to go that route). I recommend this article, http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27631-faq-should-i-use-wax-or-sealant-on-my-car/, if you haven't read it yet, to help you decide what to use in the future.
  16. Completed a large-scale sprinkler project. Added...A LOT...of sod for a new yard , so needed to re-configure/re-install/install/move/fight with/yell at everything to do with 6 zones made up of ~20-25 heads and ~50ft of new sprinkler line. In dirt that may has well have been granite . Multiple trips to Lowe's, Home Depot, and a local specialty sprinkler store later, it's time for a break. But not in the sprinkler line. Did that, too. Also hit the TV coax cable running to my house - it was marked, but only ~3 in deep (thanks, Comcast) - but I have DirecTV, so no biggie. One word of advice, should you ever take on this sort of thing - spend the extra and buy the higher end sprinklers. Much better coverage.
  17. Welcome to the addiction, Will! Great to have you along for the shine!! One article I'd highly recommend is this one: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27631-faq-should-i-use-wax-or-sealant-on-my-car/. Then, ask any/all of questions...lots of great info on here, and even better people. Looking forward to pics of your cars.
  18. Nice shots, Scott! You might also consider some nighttime rollers...I think that car would look awesome under street lights.
