  1. The weekend is nearly upon us. Get those cars and cameras/phones ready!!!
  2. Looking forward to pics when you're done! Hint, hint. Or for even more effect, before/after ones are always fun. Feel free to ask any more questions you have...
  3. Yep. Personally, I have Husky floorliners and have loved them. And they were a bit cheaper.
  4. If it's anywhere near a Portillo's and/or Lou Malnati's, I will no longer visit this thread.
  5. Welcome to the addiction, Shawn! One of my favorite Adam's videos is the winter prep, https://youtu.be/3laHYUYR1ds. Might give you some more ideas, if you haven't seen it already.
  6. For me, I do the entire car at once per step. Saves from having to change pads, etc. The exception would be starting with a small section first (2'x2' is a popular approach) to see what it'll take for the polish on the remainder of the car. Then, have at it!
  7. Maybe call Adam's customer service on the morning to see what they might be able to do for you. Also, welcome to the forum...be sure to post an intro in the new member check-in thread.
  8. Nice work, Chris! That last one, or another like it, would make a good submission for the August photo contest (Lounge thread).
  9. Yep. Stocked up at the Army surplus store.
  10. Wow, Nick, that's nuts! What isn't clear is what polish(es) you used. And did the clay have any sort of similar residue on it?
  11. To clarify, as the previous winner, I'll be the one to "pay it forward" to this month's winner. We'll handle the logistics later. Good luck to all!
  12. Don't know, but why not use the new Matte Detailer?
  13. Agreed. Be aware we are also prohibited by forum rules for any "excessive discussion, and endorsement of any product not endorsed or sold by Adam's," so further discussion will likely be limited, it any happens at all.
  14. You bet. No nozel works best...the metal end of the Adams red model can scratch...ask me how I know . One way to control the flow is to kink the hose with one hand, and control the end with the other. Basically, don't run it full power. You dont want to splatter water.
  15. You can (should?!) also try a pool/sheet rinse with the hose (no nozel, run steady stream slowly over the car...uses surface tension to gather the remaining water and rinse off like a sheet, leaving much smaller and less drops behind). Works awesome, getting rid of a lot of the standing water and making any drying towel last way longer. You won't have to ring out the HGG "wet" towel as often, either.
  16. Well, not so fast. The Adam's product page says it "may" add shine to satin finishes. Just because it doesn't for one person doesn't mean the next won't experience it and/or notice it more. Just be forewarned you may have a different result.
  17. Welcome to the addiction, Tyler! Given that you're a Marine, and the FNG, we'll use small words and pics. Go Air Force...Sink Navy!!!
  18. I dont have the new ID, but I can tell you DS works like a champ on nav screens and clear plastic over the gauges if you're looking for an alternative now or in the future.
  19. Your wheels, your call, John. At least you'll go in eyes wide open with whatever you decide. Post some pics when you're done!
