neontrucks got a reaction from BRZN in Mercedes Tackled with The Swirl Killer!
Great work, and excellent write up. I can see the difference in the pictures. Thinking of getting a Swirl Killer in the spring, for home use, glad to know it can also tackle some big jobs.

neontrucks reacted to Mariner in 1st Revive use
The only time I have ever used Revive was after my last clay job and I didn't want to machine polish. But my car is relatively new so it worked for the time being. It most definitely goes on and comes off easy!

I used it regularly on my black Vette and it was a favorite. Always by hand. Nice job!

Revive is a very overlooked product in the Adams lineup, but I use it all the time.

I have to agree, Revive is a great product. It works as a paint cleaner & mild polish, and is great for tasks like this!

neontrucks got a reaction from FrozenWS6 in Drying Aid After Every Wash?
I've been using detail spray, or g&g. Either product helps with not having water spots. I'm newish to really doing a quality wash on my vehicles, used to wash with car soap and dry with a bath towel.

Hello all, I have been using Adam's for a couple of months now and I can say that I am obsessed. But I got a few (well quite a few) Adam's products for Christmas! I opened it and I was kind of disappointed because I thought it was actually the Meguiar products but I opened it up and that was what was inside! I thought I should share and I hope that y'all received Adam products or some kind of gift card yourself!

Thank you all for replying! Sorry for the slow response, life has gotten in the way.
We're planning on using the garage for occasional washes.
Evan: I was thinking the high gloss for easy clean up, but grey paint doesn't sound bad.
Joe and Joel: The NewAge cabinets do look nice. Thanks so much!
The typical garage stuff are going to be moved out of the garage completely.
Chris: Holy cow, that's super impressive!!

Ceiling height is 12 feet, I mounted three in front portion of garage (2 car garage) and 3 at back of space. All are ceiling mounted and no shadowing, not a perfect setup so I still have to use swirl finding hand held light, for up close paint inspection, but I'm not a pro so it works for my purposes. It's a heck of a lot better than the bare bulb incandescent lights the contractor installed when house was built. The one thing I am glad I insisted on was hot/cold water and floor drains in the garage. Since it's insulated, temp never drops below 45F, even today when it is only 9 degrees out.

Hello, also made a great Adam's haul last night. Sad watching the snow fall as you open your new products, knowing you'll have to wait.

Is the garage already drywalled? If not, insulate the walls and ceiling so it stays warmer in the winter, and cooler in the summer.
For detailing, there is no need for an exhaust fan or air filter, but a heater would be a good thing to have to allow for Rinseless or Waterless washing in the garage during winter.
Laticrete Hydro Ban is a product that is used for waterproofing under tile, stone, brick, etc. It cannot be painted. Also, on the floor it would have to be tiled over, since it cannot be driven on, or left exposed to weather.

Unless the garage is going to be used as a wash bay, there is no need for this level of waterproofing. Just prime the drywall, and then apply two coats of an exterior grade paint.
Also check to see what it would take to put a utility sink in the garage, and add some wire shelving to use as a drying rack for towels, wash pads, and applicators.

neontrucks reacted to BRC in Cleaning hand polish applicators
I clean my after every use, just to be safe. Doesn't take too much time, and as others have suggested, we all spend a lot of money on products and applicators - only makes sense to make sure they're taken care of. I keep mine in labeled plastic bags, as well. Just make sure the applicators is completely dry. You don't want to get mold on your applicators. Same with towels.

I was cracking up reading that, it was hilarious! But as mentioned, what's acceptable to us is often way beyond what others are looking for. Good to hear your daughter appreciated it!

I too am not a fan of the leather smell. Maybe a faint smell but the conditioner is too strong for me. Got a bottle in a mystery box and gave it away.

That's a good idea. And make it perfectly matte as just a spray and wipe with no dressing aspect.
