Congrats on the order, that should give you a great starting point.

With winter coming up, I would not even worry about the clay for now. Get yourself used to washing and cleaning, get your steps in order, your methods in order, and your technique down. Any minor scratches you introduce learning will be quickly removed with a good polish in the spring. The winter is not a time to sit back and do nothing, with all the salt and other debris on the road its a time when protection is needed. Learn to use what you have and then keep watching the vids to see what you may need.

Personally here is what I would do,

Wash the car well, this might actually take you two runs to do to really get used to getting her perfect.
Clay bar if you really wish, but personally I wouldn't worry much at this point.
Get a coat of PS on
Get a good coat of H2O on for the winter.
    Keep up with the waterless
Dont neglect the wheels and Tires, to me a car can look great but having dirty or drab wheels really take away from it.
Learn that rinseless made down to waterless is also a great money saver
Plan for a polisher over the winter to be used come spring.
Buy most everything in the system before spring (you laugh just wait)
Come spring put a shine on her like never before with all your new found knowledge and a great deal of confidence.

I recently used the Merino Wool Mitt, Red Wash Mitt and Ultra Plush Drying Towel for the first time and wanted to give my feedback.

    Merino Wool Mitt:
First impression was that I loved how soft it is and how it gets into all the nooks and crannies... but that's where the love ends.  Overall I was disappointed with this product.  It doesn't hold suds very well at all and seems to hold more water than anything else which makes it really heavy to use.  It's also a very high-maintenance product.  It takes days for it to dry and you have to constantly brush it with your fingers while drying to keep it fluffy.  Oh and it sheds.  First time I've been let down by an Adam's product.

    Red Wash Mitt:
Up until now I was using the 10" Car Wash Pads which worked great apart from needing to brush them after every few washes so they don't get rough.  The Red Wash Mitt is is definitely an improvement over the Wash Pads.  They seem more gentle on the paint while still having enough cleaning power.  They hold suds about the the same but they are much easier to clean on the grit guard while washing.  It's also great not having to worry about possibly dropping it on the ground like I used to with the Wash Pads.  They will be my go-to from now on.

    Ultra Plush Drying Towel:
WOW!!  This is hands-down the best drying towel I have ever used, not even close.  Huge improvement over the GWDT which I will not be using again.  I started by using the side with long fibers over the entire car first and then finished off with the thin side for a streak-free finish.  Couldn't be happier with this towel.

this is the best advice!  Unfortunately, I deal with this on a relatives car that sits outdoors and isn't properly maintained............

I don't believe the sealants have any UV protection. But the sealants will keep it from oxidizing.

Joel just make sure he keeps it polished/waxed constantly and it will keep it from oxidizing.

Put my freshly polished and painted wheels back together, but not before I ceramic coated the raw alloy to stop them oxidizing and pitting and the centres copped some too - worst job ever! So many little spaces, but I'm glad they will be super easy to keep clean now. Thanks, Adam's!

Thanks, but I think I'll just stick to the old sprayers I currently have.  Appreciate the offer though

My idea was to replace the old square sprayers I currently have with new ones, not that I'm having any issues with the ones I have.  I just naturally thought newer = better and vaguely remembered positive reviews when they first came out about a better mist pattern.  Although I should have done my research first as I wasn't aware of the leaking issues.

I agree, it's great that Adam's listens and will admit when something doesn't work out.

This may be old news to some, but I'll post this anyway just in case there are others out there (like me) that were not aware.

I was thinking about replacing all of my older spray heads with the new generation ones Adam's brought out a few months ago, so I sent them an email just to make sure the ones listed on the site are the new style sprayers:

    http://adamspolishes.com/shop/accessories/empty-bottles-sprayers/adam-s-16oz-replacement-sprayers.html

    Response from Adam's:

"The 'new' sprayers we did discontinue, we were having an abnormal amount of problems with them. So we did go back to the more square sprayers that work far more consistently. Unfortunately, we do not have any of the round ones left we sent back all extras to he manufacturer."

It also looks like the site still has the picture of the discontinued sprayers, so I'm glad I asked before purchasing.

Replaced my footwell lights with upgraded LED's front and rear.  My car already came with OEM LED footwell lights, so I was skeptical about making the change, but wow what a difference:

OEM LED light on the left, how cute! lol

Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner is a sodium based cleaner.

Leather & Interior Cleaner is a detergent based cleaner.

Detergent in carpet and/or cloth seats will reactivate if wet. When this happens the carpet is likely to clean the bottom of your shoes into the carpet. The sodium based product won't. Leather & Interior Cleaner is a strong detergent that can remove any protection that's been applied to the surface it's being used on requiring reapplication of protection. It's strong enough to pull dye from carpets and cloth seats fairly easily.

Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner for fabrics, carpets, and alcantara. Leather & Interior Cleaner for leather, plastic, and vinyl.

Has the vehicle had any accident damage repaired at all? Possibly a bumper touch up or something? Could be a single stage paint repair causing paint transfer.
