  1. When my son-in-law got his 2019 F-150, I got it about week later to Coat. Please forgive the color of the truck given that it is Red - Here is the write up I did for the coating. Hopefully, this gives you some ideas of what you can do with a new vehicle. The condition of the paint will make a difference on what you need to do for prep.
  2. @tmccoy2236 While I like my apples, enjoy oranges and will say that I do eat habaneros in small amounts when cooked in something. There is also a particular cheese that comes from Vern's Cheese in Chilton, WI, called Habanero Jack that I get along with their Pepper Jack and Colby Jack. If you like Super Sharp Cheddar, they have some of the best in the world. Now, we started talking about food and I'm hungry. Maybe we'll go out for Mexican or Tex-Mex tonight.
  3. I still remember buying a bottle of Car Shampoo and getting a bottle of Ultra Shampoo with my Foam Gun. I used both and they were equal in the cleaning aspect. There is a small difference in the amount needed for a wash, which equals out the price in my opinion. The reason, I have stuck with Ultra and get it by the gallon, is I prefer the smell of the Ultra. That is the ultimate reason for selecting a particular product. On the original foam gun, it worked fine, but as much as I used it I was afraid I'd wear out the plastic parts so I upgraded to the Premium foam gun and gave my son-in-law the standard one.
  4. Good looking truck. I love the way the back side of the mirrors came out.
  5. On the outside vehicles, Spray Wax would last between 4 and 6 weeks according to the weather. For the Garage Queen, it was closer to 3 months. I found that regular Waterless Wash was very effective in taking care of the garage queen wand then when we wanted to go out or show off the car, a quick coat of Brilliant Glaze added tremendous pop for the next few days. Someplace between 2 and 3 months, it would get a good cleaning and then I'd use the Spray Wax as a drying aid. I do use Spray Wax on the exterior windows, excluding the windshield, applying it about once a month. If you have a sunroof, I recommend using Ceramic Boost about once a month using the wet method.
  6. I do agree that it would be helpful to have the list updated, thank you @Pugsly14 for taking this initiative. While we probably shouldn't add it to the list, my wife's favorite product is "CR". CR stands for Chris aka @falcaineer Recommended, which automatically means that I should have it and use it on the wife's vehicle. The two that I would recommend adding to the list are: EAPC = Eco All Purpose Cleaner EWC = Eco Wheel Cleaner
  7. For the products that I buy in the gallon, which is about a 1/5 of what I use for products, I try to watch for the specials when there is a 16 oz bottle and the gallon and/or towels to go along with it. By planning and watching the sales or specials, you can get some really good deals on the gallons. As for the Wheel Cleaner, I have gallons of both Eco and Regular wheel cleaner. I've found that once I get the wheels cleaned and treated with Ceramic Boost, that they are very easy to keep clean with minimal Eco Wheel Cleaner. For most of the treated the wheels, it takes 4 or 5 squirts of Eco and they'll be nice and clean. The regular Wheel Cleaner can still be used, but it reduces the longevity of the CB. I haven't received the new Tire & Wheel Cleaner yet, so I'm not sure how that will impact or work on the wheels with CB, but I should find out in the next few weeks.
  8. Glad to hear the CB took care of it for you. You question on the forum will also help others learn about a which ones can and which shouldn't be diluted.
  9. I know when it is time to do mine again when the oncoming headlights or sun starts to show some haze. I usually get about 2 months between cleaning for the outside vehicles and 3 months for the garage queen. If you really want to see the power of BG, try it on one of your mirrors in the house. First, I never knew that cleaning a mirror could be so easy and then it never fogs up.
  10. Wow, does the truck ever look great. Thank you for spending the time on the write up. I also had my doubts about Revive Hand Polish until the first time I used it and then I became a believer and it is part of every detailing.
  11. @SgtLip The key is to never stop learning. I learned something new today and as I get through the rest of the discussions today, I'll probably learn more.
  12. Correct. You would not want to use Wash & Wax, but would want to use Wash & Coat, which I believe is what @stalebreadjr meant. They are similar products, made for two different base systems. The Wash & Coat is fantastic, but don't be surprised when you get very little foam and is runs off the vehicle. The cool part is that you can actually see the dirt run off with it.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM!

    Happy Birthday Adam.
  14. Mine looked very similar to that. I kept mine in the house and if it was warm outside, I make sure it was kept cool by bringing it in the house and sticking it in the fridge during breaks. The Patriots wax is a great wax, especially on a pristine or show vehicle.
  15. Revive can be used with a Blue or if you need a bit more cleaning power Orange hand pad. I especially like what it does to the tail and marker lights in getting them clean and shiny, but tend to use it on many vehicles.
  16. Hi John, I'm with you on that. I'm 57 and a knowing mystery box is on the way, feels like waiting for your bonus check to arrive from work.
  17. The least aggressive would be Revive Hand Polish and I wouldn't rule that out according to the condition of the vehicle. I had one vehicle come in that was pristine and was absolutely beautiful after using Revive so I didn't touch it with anything else.
  18. Just to prove to everyone that it is possible to have a winter in South Carolina, this is one of my favorite pictures from February 2014 and the white stuff is sleet. No, we do not need to winterize the pool. We just change stop the chemicals in November and start them again in March and reduce the filter time to 4 hours a day.
  19. Welcome to the Forum. Where are you at in Canada? My Canadian trips are usually limited to Montreal or Toronto, although Calgary is my favorite city.
  20. I'm in agreement with @Yo-Yo Ma's Cousin and @tlbullet and will add one more point on the Eco Wheel Cleaner is that for the wheels that I've coated or am using Ceramic Boost on, they Eco version works great. For the fabric wheel wells, I've started using Eco APC on them. I spray them down, go over them with a wheel well brush and then hose them off. The Eco version does not foam as much and regular APC and cleans the wheel wells just was well.
  21. The car looks great and shows the effort and products used in the preparation since that is the most critical part.
