  1. Hello everyone,

I decided on a Swiss Trax floor for my garage. Check it out. I think the Pressure washer looks awesome sitting on it. The Splash of Red really matches well. I also have a Adam's Sign that looks really cool with the flooring.

Adams- We need more Garage accessory's! I have the cool Wall shelf that holds the Wheel woolies and some bottles on top and I plan on some of the bottle holders but how about some more cool stuff? I need to continue adding cool stuff to the garage.

  2. Hello everyone,

I picked one up a few weeks ago and have been using it. The hose is excellent as it's top notch and the perfect length. I like all the gun tips and the gun itself is very nice. The machine is about as quite as a pressure washer can be, coming from a gas pressure washer, it's really quite.

However I have non Adams polishes Foam cannon and it doesn't foam like it did with the gas machine. With the gas pressure washer I would get basically shaving cream. With the Adams I get a more diluted foam and it's not thick at all. I'm wondering if my foam gun is designed more for Gas then Electric? It doesn't have adjustable input tips or anything like that to adjust between gas and electric.

My gas was 2700 @ 2.3 which is a bit to much for car washing but it was pretty damn awesome. I only didn't like starting and stopping it between tasks. With the Electric I just turn it on and away I go. It shuts off so damn quick.

Anyway back to the foam gun , should I pick up a Adams Foam cannon that's designed for the electric pressure washer? The one I got I got off Amazon a few years ago, I think it was like $40-50 and it's been excellent and it's one that is highly rated. I know some of you get offended when you talk about any other brands except Adams in here so I won't post the brand. BUT I wouldn't mind getting better foam. It's the ONLY thing I don't like about the 2.0 Electric Pressure washer. Other then that I love this thing.

  3. YUP, I get it and if you don't own them, you don't get it.

What I did was I took advise from another member and used Adams Tar remover. Here are the steps

    1) Clean your tires until no brown comes off. I use Wheel and tire cleaner cut 50/50. I use Adams Pump sprayer. I give the tires a really good cleaning until they are perfectly clean. Usually the first scrub does the job but I check them with a second cleaning to make sure there is no Brown at all , just white clean suds.

    2) I use a leaf blower to dry the tires.

    3) Then I get a general purpose Microfiber , a older one I will throw away after using and Spray Adams TAR remover on it. I wear rubber gloves the whole time just saying. I wipe the effected shiny areas of the tire to wear down the clear coat like marks. It's like clear coat got on the tires and TAR removes it pretty nicely.

    4) Now I apply VRT with a Adams Tire Sponge. I use very little product and enough to cover the tire but not soak it. If you soak it, the dressing will build up in the letters and then run out when you drive it. It's madness and I hate that.

    5) Let first coat dry for about 15 minutes and then apply another coat. After this coat, you can walk around with another throw away Micro Fiber towel and buff the tires so no dressing is hanging out in the letters.

This procedure only has to be done once, then it's dress as normal and they are almost like normal tires. I got my tires pretty damn nice and I like the way they look now. I actually can not dress them for a few weeks and the VRT holds up nicely. I now only clean them with car Shampoo which I put in my Tire bucket and basically clean the tires with a micro fiber towel that I put in the bucket.

My wheels are spray ceramic coated and they don't hold any brake dust week to week and I got Brembo Brakes. I can clean them with a micro fiber towel or a wheel woolly with the sam Car Shampoo in the tire bucket.

Her's the final result of how the tires look currently.

  4. My Scat Pack. The newest thing in my lineup is Graphene Detail Spray. I used it last week as a drying aid and this is just a maintenance was with Car Shampoo.

The Wheels are ceramic Spray coated and honestly I barely ever have to use any Wheel and tire cleaner on them. Same goes with the tires, they however I use VRT and that stuff lasts a few weeks. This is a week later, after a wash , no tire dressing no Drying agent just washed and dry with Adams Drying towels( You can see them in the garage hung up ).

  5. Well guys I jumped in with the Graphene Detail spray to start. WOW what a fantastic product. It's so much better then the original Detail spray especially on top of a Ceramic Spray coated vehicle.

I love this stuff as I love CS3, now I have a dedicated Waterless wash product in CS3 , which is stupid good. Adam's should make a new one with Graphene BUT really that products needs nothing to make it better. It's basically perfect, well actually to me it is perfect.

The Graphene Detail spray has that thick soft gliding Slickness that CS3 has. It also has the shine and ease of use. I have a Pitch Black car and I get NO smears streaks nothing , just like CS3.

I now want to try out the Graphene Tire Dressing. I currently use VRT which is totally fantastic. I think it's one of the very best Tire dressings on the market at any price. It goes on dark Matte like and dries very fast. I think it's the best overall look a tire can have. I don't care for high shine glossy tire dressing , they usually also come at a price of sling. VRT does not sling at all, I have had no issues with it.

What are your thoughts on Graphene Tire Dressing? Worth trying out and comparing to VRT?

  6. CS3 is a versatile product that in my opinion is Adams' best work. I have used it as a waterless wash which is what it was actually designed for but also have used it as a drying aid and detail spray.

When I'm using it as a Waterless wash, the Waffle towels are great. Probably the best way to use CS3 is with these towels and this job.

Now when I'm using it as a detail spray, I like a more plush towel towel like the borderless Gray Plush towels.

When using as a drying aid , I use the Jumbo Plush drying towel. It works extremely well and leaves the car so nicely smooth. It works so well as a drying agent.

Before Graphene Detail spray, I used CS3 for all these uses. Now it's really back to just being a Waterless wash product and I use Graphene Detail spray for a drying aid and detail spray.

  7. Second time using Graphene Detail spray and I'm getting a Gallon of this stuff. It's by far the very best detail spray I have ever used by anyone. WOW guys what a home run product.

If you ever used CS3 as a detail spray, when you apply it, you get this smooth gliding thick feeling. Like it's a buttery wax. It goes on so silky smooth and makes you feel like your applying something great. This new to me Graphene Detail spray has a very similar feeling. Nothing like the old regular Detail spray which has a nice slickness to it but not on this level, not even close.

  8. Hello,

I don't think using Graphene Detail spray every week is an issue unless someone chimes in with a reason why it would be a bad idea to use it regularly. I have been using CS3 as my drying agent and I would switch to regular pink detail spray sometimes. I have had no issues so far with my coating and I get stupid beading even when my car is dirty.

I like you , wash every week with basically the same exact method. I like to foam cannon with Mega Foam or if I run out I use Car Shampoo which is my go to car Shampoo. I buy that by the gallon.

I own a black car so I like to use a detail spray for touch up after my wash. No matter how much blowing I do, water seems to sneak it's way out of a crack and we have hard water so it leaves water marks. So I have to first leaf blow the car , wheels etc , then use a drying agent to to a touch dry with Adam's Drying towel, then once I clean out the jams , wipe down the wheels with CS3 and Dress the tires, I remove my gloves and put on a new pair and then go over the car with a detail spray to remove the remaining water marks or water runs out of the cracks.

  9. Hello everyone,

If you haven't picked this up yet, What are you waiting for? I got this just this week and tried it out Friday night after a maintenance wash on my car. I have a black car and I like to use a the of detail spray as a drying agent and a touch up after it's dry and blown. When you blow out the cracks with a leaf blower, water will make some water marks that need to be touched up. I like going over the car with a spray to give the car it's final touch up. Graphene detail spray might just be the very best i've used for this WOW the Glide of your towel is simply amazing. The Slickness is off the charts. It blows away regular detail spray and it's working on replacing CS3 for these 2 jobs which I currently use for these jobs.

Thumbs up Adams, best detail spray ever.

  10. Pollen has calmed down and now I'm just dealing with the water spots. It's from the rain when my car sits at work. I think it's acid rain or some kind of fallout from surround factories.

I do wash each week but I always put a topper on my Ceramic coating.  I just recently did a strip wash, touch up polish and a new Ceramic spray coating. Then each week after a wash, I'm using CS3 as my topper. I will some weeks use Detail spray so I don't get any kind of build up but I don't think CS3 lasts all that long.

Is it safe to use CS3 each week? My car is black and I have to touch it up after a wash anyway due to water coming out of the cracks even after a good Leaf blowing .

  11. So I Maintenced washed my car this morning before the sun came out so I can work in the shade in my driveway. Just needed car shampoo to clean the wheels and tires, wheels are ceramic spray coated and the tires have what will stick VRT.

I think these tires will never dress the way I want them to but I can get a flat black look out of them after 2 coats and than wiping the dressing down so they don't run all over the place. I except defeat and I don't think anyone in here has experience with Extreme Contact tire and know how to get them correct.

Maybe one day someone will see this thread and figured it out, but for now I'll just have to except that Adam's Polishes hasn't figured out these tires and what products currently or what has to be developed into a new set of products to get these tires to look show car ready. They look basically clean and track ready so I'll just live with that.

    😑

  12. Welcome to the forum and Adams Products.

Not everyone gets all the scratches out. Swirls and light scratches yes but some of the deep ones you might not want to get out. You only have so much clear coat on your car. Not worth making it absolutely perfect and then have thin clear coat or basically none at all.

Buffing is an art and takes a lot of practice to get right. I suggest  picking up some panels at a junk yard and practice on them. So if you burn them up who cares your learning. Once you get your technic down , then go back and go over your personal car. You already protected it , why waste it?

Let the protection wear out, then make a decision if it's worth trying to make it better. Polish can do wonders to paint to make it look great but can't get out all the deeper stuff compound car. There is a price , remember you can cut your paint down and ruin it so practice first.

  13. So there was a local Car Show near my house today and I had to check out all the different tires dressed. Suppirse all the Continental tires where the most un even dressed tires out of all other brands. There is something to the compound they are using or the molding process that causes this.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S on the new Vette's seem to dress just fine as well as many other brands I saw.

  14. Thanks guys,

CS3 is absolutely my favorite Adams product. I like everything they make but CS3 is a special product. In ways I don't want anyone to touch it and possibly make is worse. It's such a good product. If Graphene does in fact make it better in the future, I'm all in.

Anyway I have a Pitch Black car and I don't like to not put something on it after every wash which is usually once a week. I have not noticed any build up but I will use Detail Spray on bi weeks so I'm not using CS3 every wash. My car beads water so well when I wash it the soap beads off while I use the foam cannon and when I'm hand washing. It's kinda cool as it's beading so well. Rinsing is a breeze as the soap just falls right off.

  15. What's awesome about coated wheels is the ease of cleaning and the brake dust just doesn't stick. You don't have to use wheel cleaners anymore unless you don't clean your wheels for months and have high performance brakes that coat your wheels in brake dust.

I wash my car every week unless it's raining or something else prevents this. I don't allow things to get in the way as it's important to me to have that time to spend washing my car. It's the best escape from the world.

Anyway I use the 3 bucket method meaning 2 for the wash and 1 for the wheels and tires alone. I use Adam's Car Shampoo slightly heavier then what you would use to wash your car so more like 3 or 4 ounces instead of around 2 to 3 . I use an edgeless micro fiber towel, I have the wheel glove but I don't think it works as good as the Micro fiber towel does. I have 2 wheel woolies, lug nut brush and a tire brush all in the bucket.

I use a gas Honda Pressure washer unless my car is only dusty then just a hose , I rinse the wheels and tires down first , then sit on a bucket seat and use the tire brush with just the soapy water. Then I use the wheel woolies to get the barrel and then switch to the smaller one to get behind the spokes. I use the micro fiber towel to wash the wheel. This whole process per wheel takes only a few minutes or less. I can clean all 4 wheels in probably 5 minutes or less.

Once I'm finished washing the entire car, I use a leaf blower to get the water out of all the cracks before I dry.I blow dry all  4 wheels so when I'm ready for tire dressing, there is no dripping water from the lug nuts or barrel etc. I will use Detail Spray or CS3 lightly as a drying agent.

After the car is dry I pull into the garage and hit the jams with CS3 or detail spray. Since I do this every wash, it's a breeze to clean the jams. They are nice and slippery and since I blew the car , there isn't a lot of water left in there. So this is a easy step.

Once I go around the car with Detail spray or CS3 to check for water marks or runs, I get my bucket seat and sit down with CS3 or detail spray and go over the wheels for water marks and give them a super quick coating . Again this takes minutes for all 4 wheels. I tire dress sometimes before or after this step. I use a foam tire sponge so I usually don't get anything on the wheels I don't spray tire dressing I use VRT which is in a squeezable bottle.

Once you have your wheels coated for the first time, you will never go without doing it. I have brembo brakes on one car and Audi S4 brakes on another which is the worse with brake dust. Now with coated wheels, I can use the above methods instead of constantly using wheel cleaner and tire cleaner to clean the wheels and tires. I feel it also saves money as I'm not going through bottle after bottle.

  16. I'd like to pick up some of the Graphene Detail spray IF it's better then CS3 . CS3 works so nice and is such a pleasure to use. I went through 2 16 oz and 1 12 oz bottle before I went with a gallon. I have been using CS3 since it came out years ago, it's just fantastic.

I have no idea how long it will actually last as a topper which I gotta assume only a few weeks or less. Still waiting for someone who actually knows.

Few questions - I don't have an exact solution, sorry - you cleaned with Tire and Adhesive Remover/TAR? Have you always done that? If so, why? Is it possible it leaves a film on the tires?

No, As said above, I took that suggestion from another member. It did help as I don't plan on doing that every time I wash my car. I don't actually plan on using that method. Rubber and tire cleaner or Wheel and tire cleaner is all I should ever need to clean the tires. Honestly all  my other tires I have used VRT on, I'm able each week to just put Car Shampoo in my tire bucket and clean my wheels and tires with just a microfiber towel in the soapy solution. I have a few Barrel brushes from Adams, I have the lug nut brush but I only need to use those tools maybe once or so a month. The Micro Fiber rag, I can get in there with my hand and just use the soap and my wheels and tires stay perfectly clean and protected. The wheels are spray coated as well which makes the Brembo Brake dust a non issue. I can clean them with the same Car Shampoo and it's awesome.

Going back to the Tar remover, No it does not leave a film, I only used it once on each tire and it improve the ability of the dressing to be applied. It's not perfect but it's a lot better. I also followed up with the 50/50 cut of Wheel and tire cleaner which is how I use it on all my cars. I don't need it straight. I only used it straight the first 3 times I have cleaned these tires. They have 150 miles on them.

  18. So for the sheer hell of it, it's raining all weekend so I'm most likely not going to take the car out of the garage, I put a 3rd layer on the tires and before I rub it in with a microfiber towel, I'll let it sit all day and see what happens now. I used a Tire sponge as usual to apply and I put it on thin. I use 1 to 2 lines and rub it in with the sponge and only apply more if It's not going on even.

Here is how they look after just being applied with the sponge, they will look very different later on today.
