This has become a favorite of mine too.  I actually tried it as a Rinseless Wash yesterday.  Got the idea while watching YouTube.  My wife’s car is coated with a different company coating, over two years ago, and had two application of CWW.  I did 1 ounce to 1 gallon.
I also made a 1:1 Detailer out of it using Reverse Osmosis water.

I believe the key was the layers of ceramic already applied.  When completed , the surface was beyond glossy and slick.  THE CAR WAS DUSTY and a a great candidate for a Rinseless Wash.  We haven’t had rain in a month and are running a near 20” deficit for the year.

While our 2014 Chevy SS Sedan gets all the love, sometimes Big Red (my daily) gets left out in the cold.
I spent last weekend showing it some love and getting it ready for winter.
Adam's products used: Car Shampoo, Tire and Rubber Cleaner, Clay Bar, 15mm Swirl Killer Polisher, Correcting Polish with Orange Foam Pad, Finishing Polish with White Foam Pad, Americana Wax, VRT and what I think is the best of all their products because the shine is unbelievable Adam's Brilliant Glaze.
This is my truck I bought new in 1991. After 18 years of waxing and polishing I had it repainted in 2009 because I had waxed the paint off of it. They did not clear coat back in 91 so every polish and wax took a little more paint off of it and after 18 years I was down to the primer in spots.
I took it to a custom car shop in the area with a paint scheme and here is the results. Doesn't not look bad for a 28 year old truck that has never had any body work other than repainted. It is a testament that if you take care of them, keep them washed and waxed they will last a long time. Last year changed the 16" wheels for new 18" GM wheels and here it is.

Don’t put your bottle of leather cleaner in the arm rest cup holder while cleaning the car, especially if you tend to forget where you left said product and then hit the folding seat release. This is the end result:Fortunately I have several in the basement from empty bottles of product I no longer use like Undercarriage Spray, etc.
    Now that’s much better!!  👍🏼

No, not exactly the same as regular WW. This is silica-infused, but the car doesn't have to be coated to use it. Although that's what it's best for. And it's not too far-fetched to think of it as a silica-based Detail Spray...

And yes, absolutely can be used on on that car/paint!

CWW has quickly moved into my Top 3 from Adam's, so I hope you enjoy it, too!!

Since @Yo-Yo Ma's Cousin called me out on the Ceramic Paste Wax, I'm going to include a couple of pictures that you can use for comparison.  The first picture of the truck is about 2 months after I applied CPW and the second picture is from this last weekend when I stripped it and applied Ceramic Spray Coating.  They both look good and the maintenance is pretty much the same, Wash + Coat, Ceramic Waterless Wash and about every 4-6 weeks Ceramic Boost.  In both cases, the preparation is what makes all the difference.

The next two pictures are of the Mustang, the first picture being when I applied CPW on January 9th, please excuse the pirate look since we initially received the wrong headlights.  This next picture is from today and it still has the same coat of CPW and has maintenance washes and Ceramic Boost applied.  We're at the 10 month mark and the car is still looking very good and I still have not decided if it is going to be converted to CSC or will stay with CPW.  They are both outstanding products and I'm also old school and enjoy putting the wax on by hand and buffing it off by hand.

The second picture of the Mustang shows that it is getting dull, but it has also been two weeks since it was last washed.   The main thing that I want to stress is that no matter what product you use on your vehicle, the better job you do with the prep is the better it will come out.  Just take your time and plan for two days, that way if you get tired or something comes up, you don't end up rushing through it.

Just as important, don't hesitate to ask questions, we all enjoy sharing our experiences, good and bad, and helping others.

Hey there. Yeah it can be pretty confusing. There’s a lot of options. But to start from the top. Ceramics are a newer form of protection (old school protection would be considered wax). They have much longer longevity and increased performance in terms of the protection they provide As compared to other protection products.

Ceramic products are fully synthetic as opposed to waxes which have natural ingredients in them like carnuba and other things. Waxes are normally a substance that you lay on top of your paint. A ceramic coating is actually meant to bond and adhere to the paint.

the purpose of having a ceramic coating in short is to protect from rain, sun, contamination and other exterior elements that can really mess up a vehicles finish. Also it makes it so much easier to clean. Water and dirt don’t like to stick to the surface.

So the products that you have mentioned and Adams has in their line up are:

    Ceramic Paint Coating
    Ceramic Spray Coating
    Ceramic Liquid Wax
    and Ceramic Paste Wax
(as well as the SiO2 infused things, which would be considered maintenance products for a ceramic coated vehicle... they also have other procura like trim coating and wheel coating and glass coating and headlight and metal wipes, if you have any questions about those we can answer them separately, here I’m just trying to explain the big ones that are the most talked about)

Ceramic Paint Coating is a true coating. It is the most durable and robust protection that Adams carries overall. It is also the most involved in terms of application. You have to work in small sections (2’x2’) all the way around the car. And the cure time is 24 hours. It provides a pretty thick coating, though, and because of that it can last up to 2+ years. It is meant only for your painted surfaces. (As I listed above they have a separate product for glass, trim, and wheels)

Ceramic Spray Coating is also a true coating, but made in a way that is much easier for somebody to apply. You can work in larger sections like say a panel or a half a panel at a time, and it’s in spray form which is easier for the person doing the work. It has a cure time of 4-6 hours and it leaves a coating which is a fraction of the thickness of the Ceramic Paint Coating. The longevity in this product is around 6-8 months. You can use Ceramic Spray Coating on almost anything. It works great on glass, trim, convertible tops, Wheels, plastic... I even tried it on my shoes (not worth it).... I love this product

Ceramic Liquid and Paste Waxes are actually not coatings. They are synthetic waxes which are infused with the active ingredient in ceramic coatings (SiO2). The difference in the two products as far as I know is a small difference in the SiO2 content (CPW with 35% and CLW with 30%) and one is just in a liquid form and one is in paste wax form. So really it just depends on the person applying and which type of wax they prefer. Ceramic liquid wax is newer, so I’m not sure about it’s longevity, but i applied mine over my ceramic spray coating and the seems to be going 3.5 months strong right now. The Ceramic Paste Wax has been around a little while and people love it. It’s said to lSt 6-8 months, but I’ve heard it could last up to a year! I call @RayS to the stand.
make sure to keep both waxes in the paint. I thought I could use my CLW on other surfaces and it wasn’t pretty. But the paint looked great!!

also I didn’t even mention the visual effects all of these products have. all of them look amazing on a vehicle.

hope this helps! Please let us know any other questions you may have.

Today I did a wash, decon and polish on this new Ecosport. Used Adams new formula of the Ceramic spray. It was super easy to use. I let it sit for about 60-75 seconds. At around the 2 minute mark it seemed to get tacky and I had trouble wiping it off the surface. So I dialed it back some and it was effortless to wipe off at the 60-75sec mark. And at that time frame the rainbowing was started to go away so I knew it was ready at that point to be removed. If it lasts a full 5-6 months I’ll be impressed. I bought 4oz and I’m guessing you could probably do 3-4 normal size cars with that amount. After polishing the vehicle was really glossy. It’s new so the paint wasn’t in bad shape. I’m not use to working on new vehicles. It was so easy to decontaminate. After applying and removing the coating. The longer it sat, it seemed to get glossier and glossier. I was like, what is going on here?! Guessing the SIO2 curing was making it look better 🤷🏻‍♂️?? Here’s a few pics. I’m terrible at just explaining things so if you have any questions about the process I’ll be happy to answer. I am annoyed I paid for 3 day shipping and it took 10 days to get to me. Oh well lol.

I'm lovin the Ceramic Spray Coating and Ceramic Paste Wax, although I'm still torn between which is my go to product for the top end vehicles.   I have 2 vehicles with the Spray Coating, 4 Ceramic Paste Wax, 2 with Americana and few others that I take care of with various Paint Sealant, Butter, Spray Wax, etc..

For those that have not tried the Wash + Coat and/or Ceramic Waterless Wash in combination with the Ceramic Spray Coating and/or Ceramic Paste Wax, you are missing out there also.

The one thing that I have decided is that when I get to Florida, I'll be doing all the Florida vehicles and Golf Carts with Ceramic Spray Coating.  I'm bit undecided on what to with the Uncles 36' camper since the effort to do it all with Ceramic would be a real paint, but the regular Spray Wax would be easy and I know it lasts 6+ months, so I'd only have to mess with it twice a year.

I have a 2018 Subaru Forester 2.0XT. It is White and I had it Ceramic Coated by a detailer at around 2,000 miles. I have NEVER had any of the issues you mention but with it being white I may not have seen everything. This is my second Subaru. My first was a 2015 XV Crosstrek Special Edition which came Yellow. I noticed then that Subaru puts a very thin coat of paint on their cars and the clear coat is thin as well. Unfortunately with Eyesight, you can't install a bug shield on the front. This is why I ceramic coated my Forester. We are in the middle of Lovebug season here in Florida. Cleanup is a breeze with the ceramic coating.

I had the 2015 XV Crosstrek Special Edition (Yellow). I loved it. I had to trade up for a truck because I was having to pull an RV. I retired this year and sold the RV and traded the truck for the Forester. I purchased it in August 2018. I heard and saw the 2018 was the last year for the Turbo so I grabbed one while I could. I love it but not the gas bill. It is a great car but I'm thinking about trading it in. It has 12K miles on it. Being retired I have to find something more economical.
