A ladder is the safe way, but unless the car is lowered, you can just stand on the tires and hold on to a roof rail if the vehicle is equipped with them. As for polishing, that obviously wouldn't work, but washing, claying, and waxing it will.

A few years ago when I first started detailing I first bought the drill adapter and polishes when I wanted to polish out a long scratch on the side of the car (appeared to be keyed). I was able to dramatically reduce it in the areas where I had enough clear to work with.

It is a little challenging using a drill with the pads to polish but is much much easier than working it by hand!!

DaveVY got a reaction from Aaron@P2PQD in Clay Bar marred paint, Looking for advice
In my experience, using a couple different brands of clay, having some marring is normal and is heavily dependent on two factors:
    1) what the clay bar is picking up from the paint and how hard that contaminant is will have an influence as it is then embedded in the clay bar and will then be able to drag across the paint introducing marring
    2) frequency of folding the clay bar - want to continually fold the clay to get a "clean" clay surface to use again
    3) softness of clear coat - my Mazda6 has a clear coat so soft that is seems to mar if I sneeze or look at it while just holding a towel, hence claying will almost always introduce some marring on this soft clear coat - the Vette with its rock hard clear on the other hand hand doesn't seem to get any noticeable marring from claying

Other thoughts not from my experience - since this is a customers car do you know if the marring was already there before you started, maybe just hidden from view by a glaze or filler?

I have found that Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray seals your concrete driveway like nobody's business.  Seriously.

How do I know this?  Let's just say that I rarely ever lay down drip towels when I apply my undercarriage spray.  Due to this, over the years, whenever it rains, my concrete shows all the lighter puddle spots where the drips landed while the rest of the driveway turns darker when wet.  The light spots from 3 years ago are still there, rejecting water.  I've tried pressure washing them with no success.

If you get a gallon of the stuff, and roll your driveway with a paint roller, I will be willing to bet it is one heck of a sealer, and the front of your house will smell like grape soda!

I once joked around with Mc2hill that I should lay down an Adam's stencil on my driveway and roll it with UCS.  The next time it rains, my driveway will have Adam's advertising, and maybe even get caught one day on Google satellite imagery.

Deep wheel cleaner is a great product, but I still end up using GWC for most situations. More cost effective and also very effective in cleaning. GWC is still my main wheel cleaning product. Love it!

After two months of not cleaning the daily driver I snapped a couple before and after to show what GWC can easily clean up.

    Before:

After APC in the fender wells and tires, quick scrub with the fender brush - GWC on the wheels and using the old boars hair wheel brush and the new lug nut brush - 3-4 minutes later...

Love this product, great results, low odor, high effectiveness, great value!

24x48 would be a pretty large print to get from anything less than a pro camera.

I have a Canon 7D, which has a 18MP sensor but is still not a full frame sensor. With this camera, using low ISO settings, still camera, I have done enlargements like a 24"x36" and also a couple cropped panoramics that are 12"x40". Many serious photographers would say that I shouldn't have printed that large, that pixels would be noticeable at a normal viewing distance. However I am quite happy with the enlargements.

This is the wall where these enlargements are located. For a sense of scale the small pics are 8x10, the large is the 24x36 and the panoramics are 12x40.

Here is a close up, from 4" away, of the 24x36. I don't think pixelation is too noticeable, and definitely not noticeable at a normal viewing distance 3 or 4 feet away. (Taken on an iPhone 5S)

There are many variables as Jason (Kingsford) had in his referenced articles.

8x10 are cheap and easy to test with. When you get the the larger enlargements on good paper it will get a bit pricier.

Sorry, no car pics to show as an example.
