  1. It's not a real COPO is it? I can't imagine they would've changed anything if it was (and yes, the badge is sorta cheesy). Anyway, the thing about this car isn't that there's anything particularly groundbreaking about it. It's just so clean and the mods are subtle, and that's really appealing to some folks. I prefer restomods to strict numbers-matching (not knocking those), but there has to be a balance that retains the essence of what was so appealing about the original car. I think Tim's car is modernized enough to be more "useful" for lack of a better word, but at first glance it still has that stock aesthetic. What can I say, I like sleepers.
  2. I wonder how he lit up the helmet. Maybe a battery pack in his jacket?
  3. A great thing about Adam's products is, besides giving great results, they are designed to be very user-friendly. Oh, and the smell. And as you've seen already, the videos walk you through how to use the products, and this forum is a great resource for whatever you're trying to do to your ride. The Car Wash Trio and SVRT/ applicator is a great start, along with Detail Spray and microfiber, will give you noticeable results before you even get into the polish and wax.
  4. I just saw a bike painted(?) with LumiLor on another forum. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but there is an electrical current applied to the coating to light it up. Just imagine this with BG and Patriot wax; it would take facemelt to a whole new level! http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/1596/Motorcycle-Video/Darkside-Scientific---LumiLor-Electroluminescent-Coating-System.aspx http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/909/15771/Motorcycle-Article/LumiLor--EL-Coating-System-Debuts-in-Daytona.aspx
  5. Thanks for sharing, Adam and Chris, but I know yall have more pics than that! C'mon, some of us need to live vicariously through your experiences! I think I've seen (parts of) that collection on another website before. Mind-boggling doesn't begin to describe it!
  6. I agree. I'd go with a quad if you are into recreational trail riding (mudding) or anything you'd consider sporty or fun. And I'd go with a side-by-side for more utilitarian use such as hauling supplies around your property or simple offroad transportation. These are generalizations of course, because there are sporty and utility versions of both. It depends what you'll mostly use it for.
  7. Is the hood (trunk lid) carbon fiber?
  8. I like it, other than the "Bass" name. I think they left out a "d" and "a" in the middle. edit: maybe it's pronounced like "base" http://jalopnik.com/the-secrets-of-the-equus-bass-the-best-muscle-car-mash-1501325260 but I still hate the name If the build quality is there, I think they can be reasonably successful. $250k might as well be 250 million to most of us, but plenty of folks spend that on cars from Porsche, MB, Ferrari, etc and may be attracted to something more unique and exclusive. Also, it reminds me of the ICON Thriftmaster in that it's more than just the restomod some critics call it. Sure, you can build a killer Eleanor clone or whatever for less money, but if you're realistic about the hours that go into this level of fit and finish and necessary fabrication, you're gonna be at six figures before you're halfway down the page. And speaking of costs, I'd be curious what sort of regulatory hoops a company like this has to jump through to keep the Feds happy.
  9. Good to see that the USA-made products are clearly identified. I'm seeing more websites do that lately and hope the trend continues.
  10. Turbos aren't that far-fetched since there are currently some GM vehicles with them. And would a twin turbo V8 be any more radical now than the original DOHC 32-valve LT5 was at the time? More importantly, Chevy needs to top the GT500's 662 hp.
  11. Since the dealer made the connection between your polishing wizardry and this new Stingray, is he aware of Adam's products official status with the Corvette and Camaro? Just curious since it looks like from other posts there is a shockingly low (to us) amount of awareness among Chevy dealers.
  12. I agree, but on the other hand the Z06 is a track monster while the ZR1 is more of a GT car (big hp, but overall not as hard-edged). It's possible they'll take a similar approach like what we're seeing with the ZL1 Camaro vs the upcoming Z/28. Who knows? But the C7 is such a great platform already, I have to believe they'll come up with several derivatives to capitalize on it.
  13. Very nice! That body style pulls off the long bed better than any other; the proportions are just right. I had a '69 C10 as a teen. It was a basket case but it ran (more or less). It's another one of those that I daydream about how it would be today if I had kept it all these years...
  14. Wow! If I start saving now, with compounding interest...by the time these hit the dealership I should have enough to bribe someone for a ride!
  15. Yep, all those washes with Dawn because it was right there in the kitchen...
  16. So have you just been rolling it up and down the driveway?
  17. You've built quite an impressive resume this year. I can't wait to see what you get your hands on in 2014!
  18. I started with the Leather/Interior Cleaner and Conditioner from new on my truck, and apply the conditioner a couple of times per year. Since the Interior Detailer came out, I use that as a maintenance product since my interior stays pretty clean. I really like how all of these products work on vinyl and plastic as well as leather and don't seem to build up. I also use them on my leather furniture and various parts of my motorcycle.
  19. Obviously I was joking about using those products on the interior, but I do like the smell of Adam's leather conditioner and usually get positive comments from passengers after using it.
  20. Blasphemy! I'd say Keystones are dated, but even they work well on a period correct build. On the other hand, Torq Thrusts will never go out of style.
  21. Spray some DS or Undercarriage Spray in there! It's been suggested before, but Adam's needs to come out with some air fresheners based on these products.
  22. I've never been a huge fan of the stock Rally wheels, but the taller billet versions really bridge the old and new vibes. And of course, that 67/68 RS grill is one of the best ever...and combined with a big block...
  23. I've had the same neighbors for almost eight years, and literally have never seen either of them wash a car or come home with it looking shiny. In fact, they care so little about it they don't even ask me to "wash mine next" like some folks do. I can't imagine that mindset of just letting the rain wash the dirt off, especially since they don't have junky vehicles. So when they do stop by it's just to talk about random stuff, which is OK since they're nice, but it throws off my process.
