  1. Yep. And you can find just as many posts on the internet that say "UPS sucks! Use FedEx!" I think it's pretty amazing that I can order several quality products from a great company and have it delivered to my door without ever having to get off the couch or talk to a soul and not pay a dime for shipping even though the package may weigh dozens of lbs and come completely across the country in bad weather and all I have to do is plan ahead a bit to make sure I give it enough time to arrive before I need it. But I'm funny that way.
  2. With Buttery you can "wax-on" the whole car and then "wax-off".
  3. Patriot is more expensive than Americana. If you want to use either on a DD go for it. I stick with Paint Sealant and H2OGG on mine.
  4. Might not be exactly what you're getting at but..... If I could only HAVE one Adam's product it would be Paint Sealant. Lasts for MONTHS and looks fantastic. Of course, the reason Adam's Polishes is so great is that there are a TON of GREAT products. And I rather not do without ANY of them.
  5. I learned a long time ago: When detailing you don't ever HAVE to do anything. It's all about resources, time and expectations. While it would be better to strip wash it will be fine not to. Completely up to you.
  6. You'd have to use a lot of detail spray nearly every day to get any build-up. It mostly evaporates.
  7. Americana and Buttery are both waxes. There's really no reason to use both. Americana is higher-quality and longer lasting than Buttery. Buttery is more cost-concience. You can use Brilliant Glaze either before or after the wax layer.
  8. I've been using a Merino for years and still love it. I'm glad there's a new one available because it's time to replace. Best wash pad I've ever used. And I don't use it as a "mitt". I'd rather hold it than insert my hand. Just fold in the little cuff and it's a great wash pad that will last for years if cared for.
  9. The video section should be your next stop. Lots of answers there.
  10. Claying and sealing once a month is overkill. Should be more like every 6 months. H2Ogg is great every few washes as is Wash-and-Wax. Check out Rinseless Wash. You could do that every week in San Antonio since the weather is pretty dry.
  11. I would never join a club that would have a person like me as a member.
  12. Some of us don't have any friends. .....any friends with this particular interest anyway.
  13. I don't ever dry before claying. Just keep the car wet and use plenty of fluid for claying. Of course, I do it in the garage. If in the sun you might need to dry first....
  14. I agree with Dan. While a leaf blower might work it's just not worth the risk to me. I use a great white and a SideKick. Someday I would like to upgrade to a Master Blaster but I'm very happy with my process now.
  15. Add me to the list of 32oz fans. I've found over the years that a few products just last too long for me in gallons. The 32oz size is perfect.
  16. Other than the obvious cost difference the only difference I have noticed is the ease of application. I have not used the NEW Americana (blue) yet but I noticed when I went from Americana to Patriot the wax went on just a bit smoother and buffed off just a bit easier. I never had ANY complaint with Americana - it's great - but Patriot was just a little better in that regard. Some will tell you that they can see a difference visually between the two but I honestly can't tell the difference. Some will also tell you that Americana will last a little longer but I never let my wax get to the end of it's lifespan anyway. After my pot of Patriot is gone I'm going back to the new Americana - quite a bit cheaper and good enough for me.
  17. I think the letters "C" and "B" were automatically corrected to clay bar instead of ceramic boost.
