If I'm not mistaken...the blue hex is abrasive and you wouldn't want to use that to apply wax or sealant.

As these guys have stated, they might contain more fillers than other waxes in order to hide the swirls and imperfections better but that's all its doing is hiding them for a limited time. Brilliant glaze with help with that too. I would highly suggest reading the pinned topic in the waxing section titled " what wax is best for black paint?" there is a lot of good info in there.

The "formulated for black paint" products just have a ton more fillers as all swirls and imperfections are amplified on black as we all know.

A good way to test if you need to clay is with a plastic bag like a sandwich bag. Put your hand inside and on a clean paint surface of your car lightly rub your fingers on it. You will feel all the contamination on the paint which the clay bar removes.
Take your time, use plenty of clay lube and work in a # pattern to make sure you cover the whole surface. You don't want to miss a spot and have to do it again!

You are really going to love that combo which is known as the "face melter". Be sure to post up pics afterwards. Are you familiar with the bag test for clay?

From what I understand as far as longevity goes would be the sealant then American then buttery. So you'd want buttery to over the Americana.

Only Trucks, SUV's and Fire Trucks.

Mid Sized truck takes me about 20-30 min for wheels, tires and wheel wells. About another 15-20 to wash and about 30-45 to completely dry.

My vinyl shutters are horribly faded and I saw the neighbor painted his which I didn't want to do. So what do I do? Bust out the Adams products! I first cleaned it with 50/50 APC then applied SVRT. I only did half to see a comparison and to see how well it held up. It's been over a week and has seen a good amount of rain. Still looks great, time to do all of them!

Also, something that really helped me was the time spent doing the initial rinse. I used to do a quick rinse then start washing, now I spend a good amount of time getting as much dirt off as I can with rinsing first. Like mentioned earlier, 2 wash pads will also help, one for the top and one for the bottom. Hope this helps.

Beautiful car!  Its nice to know some people still take good care of their 4th gens.  All the ones I see around here now are people driving them in town with dented body panels, horrible paint, mis aligned rockers etc. Either that or no taste at all.

I agree people don't like change. I never met Dylan but read a lot of his post and trusted his advice completely. I had a chance to meet Nick at Muscle Car Nationals in Chicago and he was very knowledgeable about all aspects of detailing and the products. I could've spent days asking him advice and questions I have.
I must say while reading posts on this forum it is nice to see an @Adams member "like" or "+1" a post. If you've spent time on any other forum you know there are so many opinions on things and to me , having an @Adams member chime in helps take any doubt out of a question or to agree that the product was being used correctly or used as intended.

I have no idea how many posters you sold or if they ever flew off the shelves but I feel like people always want one to hang in their garage or shop. I think it would be cool if one or even two different garage banners were offered. I would also sport a t-shirt if they were available, just a simple black T with an adams logo would be awesome.

Some good advise in here already. I would agree and say that a REALLY good rinse is key. Also, inspect your wash buckets half way through the wash and if the water is really getting dirty then I'd say dump them and get fresh clean water/shampoo for the 2nd half of the wash.

Thanks Dave, and your question is extremely valid.  The old 5-Year No-Wax company that has been around forever is interesting.  Consider the following things about a semi-permanent coating:
A protective coating will not prevent surface scratches, as a result of regular washing and wiping. It will not stop paint over-spray, industrial fallout, tree-sap, bug splatter, etc. It will not create a slick long term finish, which will reduce drag, and as a result, scratches. A vehicle stored indoors day and night, will require less maintenance.   Here is the real difference between the idea of a 5-year protection, and our company:
We love washing, drying, cleaning, and detailing our vehicles. It is our form of therapy.  During our work day, we go into the warehouse or garage, and clean a vehicle, or bicycle. We enjoy the increased shine that comes after polishing a vehicle. It' a happy day when our vehicle needs a clay and polish! If we had a protection that we couldn't mess with, we'd be bored silly. Claying, Polishing, glazing, waxing and sealing is one of our favorite things to do! There is no less protection with our system. While a 5+ year coating sounds good in marketing, it goes against our customer's goals:  "Maintain vehicles regularly with excellent products and extreme passion, achieving therapy doing so."

That plus, we have never seen any 5-year marketed products last more than 6 months.  About as long as our Liquid Paint Sealant.

No disrespect to the long term protection, but the circumstances that are needed to make something last one year, let alone 5 years, rarely happen on earth!
