Ready for the 2016 Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, PA.
  4. Looking forward to the show! I just finished getting the Hellcat ready. We will be there both Friday and Saturday.
  5. The towels are doing their job which is to pull and trap the water off the surface of the vehicle. Once saturated you will need to use another towel. I use the Master Blaster on our Challengers but on our Jeep Wrangler I use the Great White Drying Towel. It takes me three towels to dry it. The first two towels are totally saturated. The third I use to go back pick up the water that I missed. For a F140 you may need more towels. The Master Blaster(Revolution) is a lot of money initially but it pays for itself. I have had mine for 3 years and an important part of my detailing process.
  6. What was the temperature and humidity where you were working? I have found polish removal more difficult when it is hot and humid. I also agree that 14 year old paint will clog a pad quickly. I try to clean my pads with a pad cleaning brush after every panel. Any pictures of the Crown Vic?
  7. That would be a good start. Welcome!
  8. That C7 really shines! I am in the same situation as you. We have been really busy this year so I started driving our Challenger to work on nice days.

Nice job! Black was the better choice.
  10. That's a really cool Suburban! Hopefully the Power Tour comes close to PA again.
  11. Welcome! What type of Jeep do you have? We have a 2016 Willy's Wheeler Wrangler.
  12. I started detailing 4 years ago and learned the basics from Adam's videos. The more cars I did the more I learned. As new tools and products come out I continue to learn new ways of doing things. I do not know what type of vehicle you have but to give you some reference I corrected a 2009 Ram 1500 crew cab (wash, clay, polish, seal) this Spring and that took me 10+ hours. The pickup is not abused. If it was that time would be even higher. It looks like Adam's videos have helped you because you are out trying to get your car looking good. Hang in there and enjoy the process. If you have problems ask the question here on the forums and we will try and help you.
  13. While at the Ford Nationals in Carlisle I stopped by the Adams tent for a few things. I saw some interesting Fords today at the show. A 1920 Ford T Speedster - 26HP A 900+ RWHP Super Snake GT350R for sale (Price unknown) GT350 (Interesting color) I can't wait for the Chrysler Nationals in July!
  14. Nice job and good looking Challenger!
