*Adams Painting Coating Woes - SOLVED*
Thorsager replied to F32_Four35's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
I did two cars over a month ago and have had no problems. I washed the cars after I polished them. I then used the coating prep prior to applying the coating. -
I will be there. I really like this show. I always see a lot of great Ford's there! Set up day for Adams is Thursday. I believe the forecast for next week so far is good.

Coating Done! My Thoughts, Observations, and a couple Questions.
Thorsager replied to galaxy's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
I was able to coat two, four door cars and still have some coating left in the bottle. They are not my cars but I take care of them. They sit out 24/7 so when I wash them again ( 1 to 2 months later) I will apply the Boost. When applying I put about three drops on the applicator and spread over a 2x2 area. I did notice that it rainbowed quickly. If I left it on too long it became hard to wipe off. The rainbow appeared at maybe 15 seconds or so. I used light pressure to wipe off the product. I was a little anxious when applying the coating but found that is super easy to apply. The prep work is the most important part of the process. -
As mentioned steam clean as much as you can. Change the cabin air filter. Clean all the plastic interior parts with Adams Interior Detailer or Adams Leather and Interior Cleaner. Followed by Adams Leather Conditioner. An ozone machine may help you with the smoke smell as well. Clay, compound, and polish would revive the paint. I would like to see the end result! What was the music in the background?

Looks great! I just pulled my rims on my Hellcat this weekend to clean. I made the decision to go with ceramic brake pads. I get a crazy amount of brake dust. Once I get the new pads on I am going to coat my rims and calipers.

Nice work and write up!

Congratulations! Did your dealer keep you updated on the build status? Were you able to see it come off the truck? Your going to like the paint coating!

My wife and I helped the Adams team set up for this years Carlisle Events Spring Car Swap Meet in Carlisle, PA. We had a great time and learned a lot! The swap meet runs through Sunday. Adams also attends other events through the Summer and into the Fall here. We had some rain showers but nothing that lasted. Almost done setting up.

Post some pictures when you are done. I grew up with a 1940 Plymouth. How does it run? -

Ceramic coating and door jams
Thorsager replied to Thorsager's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
I went ahead and used the Ceramic Coating to the door jams. I am more then impressed with the way the Ceramic Coating turned out! The coating was super easy to put on. The prep work was were I spent most of my time. This car sits out 24/7 and has 30,000 miles on it. What I did: Adams Strip Wash Clay Adams Paint Correcting Polish Adams Finishing Polish Adams Strip Wash Adams Coating Prep Adams Ceramic Coating Adams Ceramic Boost (24 hours later) Adams Glass Sealant to all glass. Adams VRT to tires Adams Undercarriage Spray to wheel wells Adams Quick Sealant to wheels (I will soon be out of this!) Adams Metal Polish #1 and #2 to exhaust tip I am planning on putting this on our Ram 1500 the next time it needs corrected. Maybe in the fall. I am really glad I went ahead and tried the coating.
