  1. How do you apply the ceramic coating to the door jams? Can I apply as directed and then close the door? Will closing the door before it is fully cured effect the coating?
  2. Congratulations! Yellow is a great color for a mustang! Automatic or manual?
  3. See you in April! I'm interested in the coatings.
  4. I just got home today after being stuck at work the past two days. We got 21+ inches where I live in Pennsylvania. I was lucky enough to get a parking spot in the parking garage. These cars were not so lucky.
  5. You can do just a one-step polish with Adams Paint Correcting Polish. The owner wanted the car to look good for Spring and Summer sales calls. The paint was in need of a polish but not TOO bad that it needed compounded. Adams Paint Correcting Polish is able to take out most of the scratches with minimal passes. Here are some pictures from a detail that I did back in June 2014 of a 1995 BMW Z3 using just Adams Paint Correcting Polish. Before: After: In contrast, in December I used Adams Paint Correcting Polish and Adams Finishing Polish on my Challengers. These cars I do take to shows and I want that extra shine that the Finishing Polish will bring.
  6. This is good news. I really like the original formula.
  7. I just completed this 2013 Ford Fusion. It is used as a sales/work car at a local business. For the paint I used Adams Strip Wash, clayed the paint and did a one-step paint correction using Adams Paint Correcting Polish. To finish I used Adams Liquid Paint Sealant and the Adams Americana. I also sealed the Glass with Adams Glass Sealant. I also tried out the new Glass Boost. I really like how easy it went on and came off. Started with Adams Strip Wash. The hood before. The hood after. Scratch on trunk. Trunk after polishing. Engine bay after cleaning and Adams In and Out Spray. The sun was in and out today. I am glad I got done before we get the 18 inches of snow that is forecasted for Tuesday! The car was put away and will not be used until next week.
  8. Did you store your applicator in the container with the wax? If so that may have caused it. I keep my wax in a refrigerator. I have had no problems with mold.
  9. It is May 20th beginning at 9am. I am hoping for a dinner the night before. This is always a great time.
  10. From the high pressure of the water. I had bought a new 2010 Mustang and for 3 months used nothing but a touchless wash. Then one sunny day I noticed all the swirls in the paint. Learning how to get rid of the these swirls is how I got into detailing.
  11. I reapply sealant/wax often so the longest I had H20 GG on was for 3 months. It did bead like I had just put it on. I actually like it better then LPS for use on our Wrangler. It is easy to apply and I can use it on the plastic fenders as well. I had the entire Jeep done in 10-15 min. It has become my new favorite Adams product.
  12. As mentioned the chemicals are strong. The bigger problem is that touchless washes create swirls and cobbwebbing in your paint.
  13. Americana and Patriot are two of the best waxes on the market. I left the company you had mentioned due to the fact that the product (wax or sealant) was done in less then a month. The majority of shine comes from cleaning (wash, clay, polish, etc) Wax/sealant/coating is like the icing. However, 3 months down the road your vehicle will still clean up easy and have a great shine with Adams. Also try Adams Detail Spray when you clay! You will see a big difference compared to the brand you used. Here is a comparison of Patriot and Americana. The Yellow Jacket has Patriot and the Hellcat has Americana. Another important point is that they both go on and off super easy.
  14. I detailed my uncles semi last year. I used H2O Guard and Gloss. It goes on easy,it's durable, and leaves a great shine.
  15. I just washed my Hellcats engine bay. I covered the electrical components with plastic bags. I use as little water as possible. Afterwards I blow all the water out with a Master Blaster and warm the engine up. The alternative is using a steamer but I prefer washing it.
