Friends, I failed to test the red dispenser pumps on the Brilliant Glaze, Paint Correcting Polish, and Metal Polishes.  We started sending bottles out with them installed anyway.  Fact is, they work terribly.  Awfully. Bad.  And I'm not overstating this performance failure.  These caps are a BAD fit for several products, and I owe you an apology for sending out a product without testing the method that dispenses it.

The pumps work okay with some products, like VRT, Leather Conditioner, Shampoo,  Buttery Wax, Liquid Paint Sealant, and Rinseless Wash.  (Some hate the pumps altogether, and I can understand that.)

I apologize for not spending more time testing these pumps.   We don't often have failures of this level, and this was a big one. I blew it, and I'm sorry to have made your detailing experience less awesome.

So, now it's time to make it right.  Here is a link to the dispenser caps, which have an official price of $0.99 for 3 caps, which includes shipping.

Washed and clayed, then applied Paint Sealant, took an hour break as its stated on the label. Then after break applied Americana, then topped it off with Brilliant Glaze. I just love being able to see the clouds with out looking up.

Thanks for the honesty! I for one never cared for the pumps, yes on the shampoo it "pumped" but was messy and the shampoo is very slick so when it runs down the bottle I'd drop it very time. I have rather large hands and the pump just made holding an applicator and dispensing a PIA. I guess I'd chalk it up to "finding a better way" when you didn't have too.
Now onto admitting it was a mistake, I highly doubt most other companies would make a big deal over a cap/pump, Ive bought products and hated them and would call only to find out that "version 2" has replaced it with no admission of a failed product. I placed an order with a coupon code once at 10:45 pm and woke up the next day to check order status only to see a better code was now available, I called only to learn that I wouldn't get to use the better code cause "that's how sales work"
I was drawn to Adams about four years ago when a buddy of mine told me that his Adams APC gallon jug split at the seam causing it to leak, he told me you sent out a new gallon PLUS a 16oz.. My long winded point is Adam's offers solid products,website,110% guarantee and seemingly a honest way of doing business whether it's disclosure of where the product is made or making a right from a wrong. These reasons are why I keep buying your products.

    Hello Friends-

It's been an incredible ride, and over the past 9+ years, we have made hundreds of friends through this little company.

I'm honored to have your business, your friendship, and recommendation to your friends, co-workers, and family members. We are not a huge company, cannot advertise in magazines or television, and rely primarily on word-of-mouth for our sales.

You keep us alive, help us grow, give us feedback to help us get better, and for that, we cannot thank you enough!

We are going to be introducing some exciting new products, and will improving our existing line again for 2009. We're going to be asking for advice and input from you while testing, and thank you in advance for helping us develop and market the best car care products available.

I've been detailing bicycles since the age of 8, and cars since age 10. Today, I still detail our vehicles, and dozens of vehicles each year at the many clinics and shows we attend. (Mostly, however, I detail classic Schwinn bicycles, a hobby that I picked up originally, nearly 30 years ago!)

Clearly, we are not genius' here, that's for sure! However, if you have a product request, or are unsatisfied with the advice provided by friends, videos, FAQ's, or staff here, just ask me! Shoot an email over to us directly, anytime: Tips@AdamsPolishes.com

Thanks again for being here, for chiming in to answer other enthusiast's questions, and for being a part of our family!

    Sincerely,

Agreed!  Buttery Wax is nice on a weekend cruiser, a vehicle that lives indoors day an night, and gets few miles clocked.   We use Liquid Paint Sealant on our cars that get used, and the H20 Guard & Gloss is a stellar way to bolster the protection of the sealant!

Great shots, and bugs are a bummer!   Here is what I do:  Blast them with Waterless Wash 20 min before starting the wash process.  Then, after washing the wheels, and the rest of the vehicle, go after those stubborn guts with our Wash Pad.   The WW will soak into the guts, and make them easier to remove.

It depends on your budget, how much time you have, and how often you plan to use it.

    Porter Cable
Most budget friendly slower, but can do the same correction best for infrequent use use 5.5" or 4" backing plate/pads
    Cyclo
more $  very smooth, good correction good for all uses uses 4" BP/pads, but has large work area
    Rupes 15
more $ very smooth very large throw (work area) uses 5.5" BP/pads good for most uses, not for tight areas
    Rupes 21
more $$ very smooth even larger throw uses 7" BP/pads best for large panels
    Flex 3401
more $ very fast correction uses 7" BP pads forced rotation adds to learning curve best for frequent use
So it is up to you and how you plan to use the polisher.

I started with a PC and the 7" pads.  They were slow, but they worked.  I changed to 5.5" BP/pads, and that allowed for a little more speed.  I also added the MF pads, and it can correct almost any defect.

One more thing to try, is our Glass Sealant after you use the Clay Bar.  Rub and rub until the outline disappears.  Then, remove the residue with the Glass Cleaner.  Rich is right, our new stuff is quite a bit nicer than the old, but the old stuff will work.
