  1. This is what I would do but maybe just a white pad to start they are less aggressive..
  2. I have not had any problems with the new glass towels. They seem to be working fine for me. The one thing I have always done was to let most of the cleaner start drying before I wipe the glass with the other side of the towel. If you start wiping with too much cleaner still on the glass that is when I find you get streaks.
  3. Check out the video's on the system. https://youtu.be/Ceop4z0Wt0o?list=PL4ju56j0wCCXUqDyrOJ-96Shcyb3VyUDy
  4. Great video's.. The Single Stage Part 3 video link in the first post is set to start half way thru the video. You have to re-do the link from YouTube.
  5. Looking good, I had a 97 F-150 and I did mine and it also seemed like there was some on the inside. I had to end up getting new ones and it was an early build (before July 96) and the light cost twice as much a the later builds so I tried everything on them but they never got real clear.
  6. I would second these two. Also remember to use the Forum discount for 10% off the code is "SHINEON" no quotes. So it would be $179.99 shipped after code for the Essential Kit. But right now they even have a 15% code. "BF16" free shipping over $50.00 so it would be $169.00
  7. If this is a calcium buildup a little vinegar will dissolve it but don't know about the paint. Do you have some Adams Revive to maybe try on it? I would think thou if it is a calcium buildup it is also under the trim and I would not want it under there eating away at the metal body parts. What make car or truck is it? Do you have a picture showing the full door or side? I don't know where you are located but do they use salts or calcium on the roads there in the winter? You might have a bunch under the trim that you are not able to get cleaned out so when water gets under there it leaches out.
  8. The biggest problem is not the bristles of the brush it's the snow and ice that can kill the paint. I have a softer brush that I use and sometimes it wont move the snow. If at all possible I use the remote starter and let my truck heat uo enough were most of it falls off but it can still scratch as it is falling off.
  9. Well in my state (Delaware) you can be ticketed if you don't have your car or truck cleaned off. I know it sux but that is why I have to do a good polish after the winter time. I usually just take the snow off and try to leave a light coat on the paint, that way it helps on eliminating most scratches.
  10. Did you get the "Cleaner" or the "Conditioner"? You don't spray the Conditioner, you use a Interior Dressing Applicator for that. It is real thick. The Cleaner you can dilute some and just put it into a spray bottle.
  11. This is what I do with mine and after two years they are still like new. If you get tar or real dirty spots I just hit those spots with All Purpose Cleaner and massage it in with my fingers and hit it with the hose while on the Grit Guard.
  12. When is the last time you clayed the car? Or possibly needing a coat of wax or sealer. I know I washed my truck one time after not doing a good detail in a while and it seemed to do something like you are saying.
  13. Check out the video's, they show both. http://adamspolishes.com/video
  14. I would do an Alcohol wipe down in the area you are going to touch up and then wait at least a few days before polishing.
  15. You in the right place. You can get help just about anytime here on the forum. Also watch the video's over end over. they help a lot.
  16. I agree with Chris, And also be sure to check out Adams Kit's, they can save you a lot in the end.
  17. I know it always seems like you want to start slow and with putting out less funds but if at all possible the Kits that Adams have are a bargain. Not to take away from anything but I started the same way and within a few months I had a bunch of separate orders. I could have save a lot by purchasing the items in kit forms. Just a thought that I figured I would pass along. As for towels at the least I would get 2 Great White drying Towels, A couple Single Soft and maybe a Double soft. Adams towels are second to none. As you can see the price adds up quick so the Adams Micro Fiber Bundle is a great deal. http://adamspolishes.com/shop/accessories/microfiber-towels/adam-s-microfiber-bundle.html
  18. I have just about everything else that I would use. That is why it was hard to try and think of what I would trade for. I guess it will just have to hit eBay.
  19. Bump.... I guess not much interest in Patriot anymore?
  20. Kate, I have one also, I still use them and have an extra spare so if Mark does not get you one let me know and I can send you one. The style I have looks like the one in this picture from an older post on here. I do the same as in the post but I put about two ounces of shampoo in a 16oz. bottle and use it on my wheels. This is the old post. http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/12101-wheel-cleaning-with-a-foaming-sprayer/
  21. Have not tried the new green towels yet but could the difference be if you usually drive with the windows down or not? Maybe the ones that the towels work good always have the AC on and windows up so no over lying dust from the road getting on the windshield. Just a thought.
  22. I will have to check tomorrow for one. I cant remember how many of them I had but I know a couple of them quit working. Still use one for my wheels with diluted Adams Car Wash. I will let you know.
  23. All purpose cleaner works great, I just gave a couple sprays on my hats covered in sweat, salt water spray and fishing bait and then give them a light brushing then rinse real good. I then fold the back into the hat and set them to dry or put them on a rack that my dryer has and dry them that way. Washing machines seem to alway kill the shape.
  24. Try Adams Revive if you have some, it should do it.
