Great job! I did this about 12 years ago and mine are still holding up. I don't drive the car every day but still holds up really well. I never thought about painting them silver to keep the stock look. Might have to do this when the weather gets warmer.

Ok so I finished up and all I can say is that it is not worth it at all. I see very little difference. I am not going to post the video. If you want to see it send me a message and I will text it to you. Warning it's not worth it. Lesson learned: save this stuff for the car. I might try the shower glass and the granite counter top though.

I have Adam's Tire shine and one other company. I was thinking of adding VRT, which I don't have, and maybe 2 or 3 others to show how much better Adam's is compared to others. I know this has probably been done but I wanted to do it as well. Anyone have any recommendations?

Nice job!!  And your little helper is a real cutie.  I agree with RayS about what you have on your car. I've had issues with foam not sticking on my CPW cars too, well with  every wax.  But I wouldn't worry about it.  I look at it as the running foam means it's taking dirt and crap with it .   Your rides look great.

@SS LeadFoot First, let me say what a beautiful pair of Red cars you have along with a cute helper.

Not knowing what you have on the car for a protectant, I can tell you that the foam and the way it is running looks similar to how Ultra Foam Shampoo looks on my vehicles that I have done with Ceramic Paste Wax.  It just doesn't stick very well, but I am able to see the dirt run off with the shampoo on the daily driver, so I know it working.  When I use the Ultra Shampoo on the vehicle with Ceramic Paste Wax, I make sure my soap bucket has plenty of of suds and I hit both buckets often to make sure the Mitt has plenty of soap.

I have started using the 10" Car Wash Pad and like the way it holds the water and soap and have the Lambskin Wash Mitt in my Wishlist for the next order.   I also just got the Wash + Coat to use on vehicles with Ceramic Paste Wax and it foams less, but does it ever work wonders and you can use Ceramic Waterless Wash as a drying aid.  I've been a fan of the regular Waterless Wash and after trying the Ceramic Waterless Wash on the wife's garage queen, I know it will be the standard for anything with a ceramic product as the base.

Well I don't get to drive/wash the racecar often but got an opportunity last Saturday and took advantage. I have a huge problem with getting Adam's products and not using them because they are so nice, specifically towels. Well I tried to snap that habit. I used the silk glass towels and they are amazing! I have used the green and blue glass towels but the silk is a step above. I was amazed how well they worked. I have a few other Adam's glass towels to try next. I have been using the pressure washer and Mega Foam but I can get the foam to stick to the car as well as I would like. I've attached some pictures. Even had a little helper out there with me Enjoy!

**UPDATE** Nothing worked. I tried everything. Packed my Adam's trunk organizer full of glass cleaner, APC, 0000, plastic razor blade, clay bar, and even a glass polish. I first washed the glass and I couldn't feel a bump but tired the razor blade first. Then I tried the APC. I let it sit for a few minutes and was taking it off and I couldn't see the marks anymore. I got really excited. I then cleaned it again with glass cleaner and there they were hiding behind the dampness. I then tried the clay bar and that did nothing. As a last resort I pulled out the 0000. You could feel it in some areas not rubbing as smooth over the glass/lines but it did very little to nothing. the glass has to be etched.

On a side note, I learned that the lady had already taken it to a professional and they couldn't remove it either.

So as a belated father's dat gift I detailed my Dad's car. I tried a few things I haven't done before. All in all here is what I did.

    Did the rims and tires.
Washed the car with Foam Cannon and Ultra Foam - Still getting used to the pressure washer/foam cannon combo.
Dried the car with a leaf blower and then waterless wash
    Clayed the car
Washed again with Foam Cannon and Ultra Foam
Dried the car with a leaf blower and then waterless wash
    Applied some polish
Cleaned the windows with glass cleaner then applied glass sealant.
Took the sealant off with glass boost.
Applied Ceramic Boost instead of Detail Spray

I have to say, when I was applying the ceramic boost I was not impressed at first. Couldn't really see much of a difference. I started wiping to hood and roof and that is when I noticed a huge difference. It really brought out the metallic flakes in the paint. I had no troubles applying it. It went on really easy. Can't wait till it rains to see how the water runs off. It was too clean to poor water on it myself
Let me know what you guys think!
