FordFocusST
Hey all! I finally got the Adam's Essential Detailing Kit in its entirety and am looking forward to using it once the weather breaks. Just wanted to verify the process of detailing my car with you guys. From what I understand it goes like this: - Clean wheels - Two bucket wash the car - Clay bar car if needed - Polish it - Glaze - Wax - Then shine up the plastic and what not with the VRT I think thats the summary of it pretty much. Any suggestions and tips before I do my first detail will be welcomed! Thanks! MeatsmeadsWab
0 SYMAWD
That's right but you can use SVRT before polishing to protect it from the polish. Team Adam's and KBsToy
0 mc2hill
I would suggest adding 2 oz. of APC to the wash bucket. It will help remove any existing wax or sealant and leave a better surface for the clay and polish. LFairbanks
0 KBsToy
2oz per 5 Gallons ?? thanks !!!! SYMAWD
0 redneck08sierra
2oz per 5 Gallons ?? thanks !!!! yes like matt said, I would do the vrt before polish b/c if you get the polish on the trim pieces, wipes right off. without the vrt, getting the polish off the trim takes a little bit more elbow grease! 0 Beemer
If you are going to add a sealant do it between "polish" and "glaze".
0 FordFocusST
Thanks guys. The all purpose cleaner to the wash sounds like a great idea along with the VRT before polishing. Edited March 24, 2014 by FordFocusST

0 camaro2ssblack
Which bucket? The bucket with shampoo or the bucket with water only? Thanks! Think about that one for a second. I'm confident the correct answer will become clear. KBsToy and Ricky Bobby
0 camaro2ssblack
2oz per 5 Gallons ?? thanks !!!! I would say just add 2 ounces to your normal wash bucket. Don't worry about the ratio because I personally have never seen anyone fill the bucket completely full to the 5 gallon mark.
