Anyone else get this?

It never fails. Just about every time I wash my car someone has to come up and ask if theirs is next, or some variation of that question. I can't be the only one, can I?

I've gotten it.  Usually when I start talking pricing the conversation quickly ends.  It's an annoying question and everyone thinks they're funny by asking it.  I think some people just don't realize how annoying it is.

i get it often, but i take it a compliment in that people see my cars are well kept and would like theirs to look so good as well.  so it doesn't bother me.

I get that quite often or the old, "you're going to wash the paint off that."  Lately I just put my headphones in and ignore it, sounds rude but they ignore me pretty often.

Only get it from one particular annoying neighbor....................... the other's all compliment how the family vehicles look in our household, and I have some converted to washing their own vehicles using Adam's products.

The fact is they are noticing what you are doing and are impressed enough to mention it. Take it as a compliment.

I don't mind it. People have a hard time starting conversations sometimes. It is better than, "nice weather we have been having". But yes, I hear it a lot

I used to get that so much when I lived in one apartment, every time the neighbor that I shared a driveway with came in and I was washing he would say that, I had enough one time, so  I washed his when he went in....

Without fail, every time I wash one of my vehicles in the driveway, someone will stop in the street and yell out the window questioning "if their's is next".  My usual reply is they have to come back in 4 or 5 hours when I'm finished "because you can't rush perfection". 

Truth is........... I'm  just really slow .

I'm lucky and live off of a road, private driveway, and woods  so no neighbors bothering me.  It's when I take the cars out that people will yell "nice car, what do you use?"  or my wife will get "where do you take your car for detailing?"  She loves that one.

It doesn't bother me. I find it funny no matter what people will say the same thing. No matter where I live, same result. I usually just say I will add your name to the list and smile. I like the 4-5 hour thing. I will start saying that

Usually just as it's all soaped down and I need to rinse and dry before it spots. That's when someone feels it necessary to talk to me.

Are you so important that you can't take 30 seconds to say hello to someone?   Or are you just the type of angry person that you sound like in your post?

If you read all the post I said later that it doesn't bother me. I find it funny that everyone says about the same thing.

I get it as well and its usually someone driving by in their car rolling down the window and asking me.  My usually response is "If you have the cash" or "everything has a price"  they usually grin and drive off.

I get it a lot, but they usually follow it by saying that can't afford to pay me for an all day detail!!

Went out this morning To bring in the trashcan. Little kid across the street waiting for the school bus asked me if I could teach him how to wash cars. I would guess he' in the 4th grade. I told him someday, and he went away with a smile on his face.
