Hi guys. Really appreciate all of the amazing info on here and ready to buy a whole bunch of Adams products!!

I've bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee limited (white) and I pick it up on Saturday , so I want to put something on it early on (within the first week) so it's most effective.

Earlier this year, I had my wife's car done with the professional paint protection (ceramic pro) but keen to save some money and do it myself (while also enjoying it!).

Question is, what should I use on it? I'm leaning towards the Americana wax, but should I use a sealant on it first? Or the glaze?

Ongoing ill use a high pressure hose with a foam lance (minimal contact) and also the usual clay bar every now and then.

Any tips on protecting the car from the start would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Had a great time at Carlisle today. What a great place to spend the day. Stopped off at the Adams tent to pick up a few things. Was nice to see Nick and Dave again as well as meeting Sarah and Bob. Enjoy the rest of the weekend out there all. Hopefully the wind will die down and the Detail Spray bottle can go up.

    Hello Everyone

We'll i've been lurking here on the forums for some time now. This past monday I finally made a major purchase and got all the basics! I was so excited to come home to a box full of goodies, as i was ready to detail my New 2014 Lancer Evo X and post some pictures!

Unfortunately Adams shipped me the wrong order! It turns out they shipped me "Ryan Perry's" order! not sure if hes a member here on the forums or not.

The order that I purchased only cost me about $150 +/- and the order he paid for cost about $580 which included a Cyclo Model 5 Pro Polisher and some other goodies. We'll me being the good person i am i called Adams and spoke to I believe it was Benjamin and explained the situation to him. He said somewhere along the line they must have switched the Shipping Stickers. So now Fedex should be coming tomorrow to pick up this box and return it to its rightful owner as i shall be recieving mine too (I Hope).

I was raised with morals and understand that there is more to life then material objects; as they are all replacable. Ben said he would ship me a mystery box for calling and telling him i received the wrong order (instead of keeping it), he couldn't thank me enough and said if i ever needed anything else to feel free to call them and they would take care of me as i have taken care of them!

So now the wait continues and im still looking foward to receiving my purchase to get this detail started! I'm not sure if this has happened to any of you but if it has i want to hear about it!

    Sincerely Angel Espino

MeatsmeadsWab reacted to Vrog in Advice needed on Brush Pole
    Hello,

I have a lifted truck so using the lambswool mitt is a bit of a pain. Its does a great job but water runs down my arm causing me to get wet sleeves and pants. Now that the cold weather is here I'm looking for a good pole brush to use. I can't seem to find  straight answer as some swear by boars head brushes while some say they scratch and swirl like crazy.

I have a 20 year old fuller brush that I keep very clean and is real soft. I usually only buy white or silver cars so swirls or light scratchers never were a problem for me.

Well its been 15 years since I had a black truck and I figure I would be dumb enough to give it a try again. I sold my pearl white platinum f350 and bought a tuxedo black platinum f450.

I took it home and spend 6 hours getting it the way I wanted. Wash, clay, seal and amerciana. It looks perfect. I don't want to use my trusty 20 year old brush on it fearing I may ruin all my hard work.

Anyone have an option for me?

You know how to find us, right? Look for the giant Detail Spray Bottle!

I'm going to have Brian Little (pbmgoat here on the forum) along with me. Brian is a local from just south of Carlisle, living in Biglerville, PA. He works as a Professional Detailer at Bobby Rahal Toyota and has been detailing cars since before he could drive! He owns and shows a beautiful 2005 Pontiac GTO and is currently doing a complete frame off restoration on a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible for his wife. Guess how he maintains his personal vehicles? You got it, Adam's products!

MeatsmeadsWab reacted to gbod in Taping before machine polishing?
    Greetings all!

I just acquired a big box-load of Adam's products, including a new Cyclo polisher.  I am going to practice machine polishing on my old daily drivers before I attack the black BMW. In watching all of the instructional videos, I don't see any instruction on taping off trim, badges, rubber gaskets, etc. before polishing.  In fact, in most of the videos, polishing is demonstrated on a big flat surface, and the whole topic of polishing in tighter areas and around trim isn't really demonstrated or addressed. This thread here talks about tape that no longer seems to be available from Adam's.  Somewhere i remember watching or reading somewhere that using VRT on the trim before polishing could alleviate the need for taping. Is taping recommended?  If so, what tape would the pro's recommend? (Please be specific!)

    Thanks!
