Sadly I guess it is just another piece of inventory for the dealer, but that is a very sad condition to deliver an expensive car in.

Great work on making it correct!

My orders for the dealers are always clear, don't wash it.  I would much rather have a dirty vehicle delivered than one that looks like that.

Great job on fixing what the dealer messed up.

So a buddy of mine just picked up his new vette, but the dealer trashed it as usual, so it needd a litle love from me and Adams. Strip washed, claybared, 2 step paint correction, Brilliant Glaze, Americana wax and some Slick and Slide added for a little extra pop. Needless to say it looks a lot better !!

No issues with the regular sprayers just the ceramic ones

As a 110% dedicated to Adams products customer, I have to say the only problem I have had with any of the products, isn't made by them. The sprayers on the new ceramic line are horrible, in my opinion. They either don't work at all, get clogged after a few sprays, get jammed up and ceramic just pours out of the dispensers, etc. And yes I have cleaned them, cleaned them right after application of product, boiled them in hot water, pumped prep coat through them, useless. Anyone else with issues? The ceramic product line is awesome , as well as all Adams stuff, but the sprayers, ugh ! I have now poured my ceramic spray coating , boost, etc, into bigger bottles and now using Adams regular sprayers, NO ISSUES. Now I feel better. LOL !!

You can think of Slick & Slide as an enhanced Detail Spray with the hydrophobic behavior of H2O Guard; however I don't feel it will be as durable as an application of H2O Guard, since I can typically get 2-3 months of protection out of one application of H2O Guard. Slick & Slide is more like a hyper detail spray to add fast and easy shine and slickness to the paint, whereas H2O Guard & Gloss is a water-activate sealant that requires a little more effort to work into the surface. The product line is always growing and evolving, but that doesn't necessarily mean that someone has to use every product - we like to introduce innovative new products to give customers different options when detailing.

For my personal vehicles, H2O Guard & Gloss was my go-to product for many years, but I now find myself using CS3 more often due to its easier application and incredible performance.

As far as where Slick & Slide stacks up in our spray product line, I would say it goes something like this in terms of durability and longevity:

    Detail Spray - Spray Wax - Slick & Slide - Ceramic Waterless - CS3 - Ceramic Boost - H2O Guard & Gloss

I put two coats of it on last week.  Was working on my car Saturday.  Later that evening went to put the car cover back on.

Which is sometimes a pain with one person anyway.

Took me a second to realize what was happening.

Threw it on the roof.  Damn cover kept sliding off.  Started to get pissed.

Then it hit me.  Sick and slide.  It does work!!!!!!!!

It is polymer-based like Detail Spray, so it doesn't have any actual carnauba or other wax in it. Any type of protection product can eventually build up with too many layers though if you use it often enough. I've had the prototype on my trunk lid for about a month and it's holding up well. It does have up to about 30 days of protection, but it can be used after every wash or every other wash to maintain other protection on the vehicle, as a fast way to get some added protection and self-cleaning properties on the surface 👍

I attend many high end car shows with my Mustangs and although the parts aren't Adams, all the detailing is ! I get so many compliments on the paint of both cars, the 07 stang was at a show in Boston and I had the head judge ask me if the paint was factory done, I told him absolutely it was, he asked because 5 other judges looked at it and they said it wasn't !!
    Lovin the shine !!

Generally I agree with your sentiment 100%. I’ve openly disagreed on things Adam’s has done in the past on this forum, as well as directly to Adam himself of various representatives of the company. Admittedly, I can be pretty critical.

That being said in this case I feel your sentiment is misguided, despite being well intentioned.

“Desperate times call for desperate measures.” That’s the saying anyway.

We are currently experiencing a pandemic on a world scale that is unlike anything we have ever seen. Economies are crippled. Death tolls continue. Infection rates rise. Resources are drained.

This is something that has an impact on nearly every town, county, state, nation and continent. Everything is a fluid situation in a constant state of flux where needs change daily, or even by the minute.

Not only do I own Detailed Reflections, but my true career (the one that really pays the bills) is being a firefighter in a community of 50,000 people. We have seen the feelings change from “we have plenty of gear” to “one to one replacement” so we don’t run out. So far to date, my community has over 200 cases of Covid-19. We have transported approximately seventy of these patients. I myself (and my crew) have had four direct contacts with Covid-19 positive patients to date that we know of. With every contact comes the need for more products to decontaminate ourselves and our equipment. This has created a shift where smaller local businesses have shifted their production to support their communities instead of the bottom line. We have an adhesive company a couple towns over that made hand sanitizer for every member of our department. This allowed them to keep their employees working, and helps the community. It’s the proverbial “win-win.”

Everyone now is being divided (right or wrong) into essential and non-essential. Non essential businesses are sometimes able to sustain themselves by offering something they don’t always. The need for general sanitization products versus car care products is clear currently. I can state that as the owner of a business that relies on car care products and the availability of them to keep going.

Adam’s is putting their community before the needs of it’s existing “customers.” If our communities fail, the businesses fail. And companies disappear completely. You’re going to see a few crisis’ arise thanks to Covid-19 outside of healthcare. You will see a financial crisis, unemployment crisis, mental health crisis, potential housing crisis (credit will be trashed, savings wiped out, mortgages in default). It’s going to take time to climb out way out of this. The way we do that is by understanding that the needs of everyone have shifted significantly during this time.

If you live in a lesser affected area, it doesn’t mean the companies in your area aren’t supporting those in areas of impact.

For the greater good of society, and to end this as quickly as possible Adam’s has done the right thing. They should be applauded, not reminded that they need to get back to car care products and customers.

I mean no disrespect to your thoughts, just sharing the views from the other side of the fence. I don’t want to bring Covid-19 home to my family because I couldn’t get what I needed to remain safe. And I don’t want to have to change how I interact with members of the community I serve out of fear or lack of proper supplies. Right now we all need to support each other. For the greater good.

As with most things, some had issues some not. I love them and never had a problem with leaking or clogging, l and still use them to this day. I use them for car shampoo, mega foam, since it dispenses a quarter of an ounce per pump so its easy to measure instead of just dumping product in bucket.

Good looking car with amazing shine! People just do not believe what a product like Adam's can do for the finish of a vehicle. HELL, I DID NOT BELIEVE IT!!  But it is true. If you use the right products in the right order you will constantly be questioned on the paint. I have heard it all. "That's not factory paint because white paint does not have depth. You cannot fool me, that's a custom paint job." Yea sure, go buy some Adam's products and come back and see me.
