Glad I picked up some of the Silvers...  Just shipped some to a friend of mine that has 0 good Microfiber Towels so at least he will have 4 now that should not harm his black paint...

jtrade got a reaction from Rich in Total Interior Detailer over Interior/Leather Conditioner?
I did the same and the Interior of our Optima has stayed darn near spotless...  I vaccummed it this past weekend and that was all it needed as the interior still looked good from when I used Leather and Interior Conditioner almost 2 months ago...  I did use an attachment to vaccum up some dust/dirt around where the windshield and dash meet plus around the vents, etc...

When we get back home I plan on giving everything another good coat, espeically the leather seats, of Leather & Interior Cleaner...  I may try some of the Interior Detailer on some of the plastics but I really like the finish of the Leather & Interior Cleaner...

Yes!  It is what folks used while I&O was on hiatus for a few years.  I&O is a little easier with an older car, but on the newer cars with all the plastic cladding SVRT milk works fine.

I agree, both should be safe for your chrome wheels...as chrome wheel specific cleaners are generally more aggresive than regular cleaners.  Chrome can take some heavy duty cleaners...bare aluminum wheels are the ones you have to be really careful about.

And also can someone tell me how to create thicker and better suds when using Car Shampoo when washing the truck? And how do I keep more suds in the bucket during the wash?

What's your process?  What are you not happy with?

I have some on my ridgeline just like this, nothing is going to take it off......unfortunately. I'm going to tape off the paint and windows and plastidip it. It'll be a $5 fix and be a lot easier than replacing the trim.

Im pretty impressed with the Leather & Interior Conditioner...  It has been a little over 2 weeks since I detailed the interior of my vehicle with it and it looks just as good today as it did when I applied it!!  Also I does not appear to have any dust building up on the dash which another member mentioned is a good place to use the Total Interior Detailer which has anti-static properties...

New to my arsenal will be a few more Adam's products which should be here on Wednesday!  More for the outside of the vehicle this time tho!

Eraser wheel (rubber on rubber) seems like a recipe for disaster IMHO.

Thats definitely something nasty though... if its indeed mold or even baked on sap I would suspect some heat would help, as in hot water... maybe even a little isopropyl alcohol.

Last resort would be using an abrasive (fine grade scotchbrite pad, 0000 wool, or even fine grit sandpaper) but that will definitely change the properties of the trim a good amount and like others mentioned required some pretty heavy conditioning to restore.

I kno absolutely no where near as much as u!!!  Just thinking outside the box if the APC or clay doesnt work so I dont have to replace the weatherstripping...  For what it is worth I have no idea what protective properties the weatherstripping has had before we owned the vehicle...

    thnx again,

Good point on the anti-static properties of the TID Mike, I was skeptical at first...but it is pretty noticeable on my DD when I switch between the two.

I would recommend to use the interior detailer on dash and trim. It has cleaning properties and UV protection as well as anti-static additives. If you use the leather conditioner on your dash vs the interior detailer you will see dust start to pile up pretty quickly and is alot more noticable.  I've tried it both ways and have personally seen the difference. I use the leather cleaner and the conditioner mostly on my seats. But the Interior detailer can also be used on leather as well.  SVRT is also good on trim and dash but will leave a glossy look, which I didnt really care for. I typically apply SVRT in the cup holders as it has water repellant.

I use the conditioner every time I clean the interior in both the Vette and the daily driver.  Always.  Keeps the leather soft and clean with no build up or residue. Plus keeping it protected from the sun is always good. There's really no reason not to use it each time other than the Detail Spray may be more economical.

Also, how often to use the Leather/Interior Cleaner?  Every time I clean the interior?

I didn't see this question answered but it may have.  No, definately not.  You can use Detail Spray for your in between touch-ups, or the TID.  The TID will strip your Conditioner...DS will not.  I prefer to use them on different surfaces, anything that gets full sun, and leather surfaces get the conditioner.  All other surfaces, TID.

Also..if you use the L&IC, make you follow-up with a damp cloth or you'll get runs and streaks.

He meant TID which you have in your picture.  In the Optima I find it works well on the upper dash, but not too well on smooth plastics.  I use leather cleaner on the steering wheel at least once a month as you only need a little bit of conditioner to re-coat it.  The seats normally get TID as it still contains SPF and then conditioner maybe every 3 months.

FYI...............the Leather Conditioner also has cleaning properties, PLUS a good SPF rating to protect from sun damage and fade. So I only use the cleaners when my interior is REALLY dirty (which is never) and use the Leather Conditioner regularly to keep the interior clean AND protected.

Thank you & did not know about the cleaning properties, only the SPF which is why I used it on everything (except glass and instrument cluster plastic) today...   Also I really dont care for a semi-gloss or gloss finish & the conditioner left hardly any gloss at all, which is why it was hard for me to see sometimes being in the shade where I got a good application on the tan interior...

I used the Leather/Interior Cleaner only to get off anything we or the dealer may have used before I applied the Adam's Leather Conditioner...

Like you, I dont anticipate the interior of our vehicle every becoming "dirty" since we clean it at least bi-weekly...

I forsee a Gallon of Leather Conditioner in my future since most of our Interior is leather/viny, love the no gloss finish & SPF protectionl!  Plus it smells like that "new car" smell!

May have to get a couple of these "Battery Tenders" cause I have a couple batteries sitting around I use for a sprayer, and an old school "John Deere Gator" aka 5 Wheeler (AMT 600) but can also be a spare for the work truck...  I usually just put em on the charger a day or 2 before I need em...  This Battery Tender seems like a better option...

Which Model Battery Tender are u guys using?

Welcome.  While spending $120 on a kit is a chunk of change, it will get easier once you see how well the products work first hand.  There are things that I have cringed about spending the money on whether it be supplies or tools and accessories.  When I get them I always ask myself why I waited so long.
