  1. +1 for Plasti Dip. Its fun to experiment with. And if you dont like it, PEEL IT OFF!
  2. Personally, I think it would be nice to have the website redirect me back to my previous screen after I login to my account. I dislike having to login to be taken away from what I was looking at to see my account profile.
  3. You have a drinking problem. Please let me elaborate. You finished your beer, and didn't fill your koozie with another cold one. That is the problem. I actually get a little enjoyment knowing my bottles or towels wont stick to an already Adam's polished surface. Thanks for the suggestion!
  4. Beautiful car. I still don't understand why they try to up the performance look of a ZL1 with a billet gas cap.
  5. Congrats! My third girl will be here in November. ...lots of pink, purple, and Disney princesses! And i wouldn't change it for the world.
  6. Unfortunately not, life is busy at the moment, but thank you for the offer. Keep up the great work!
  7. I went camping a couple weekends ago and sure enough my kids found a way to get grease from my hitch on the grey interior leather and plastic surround on my seat back. LIC took it right off. The cockpit brush made getting the grease out of the textured plastic a breeze. This guy <-- SOLD! LIC FTW
  8. I recall reading through the forums where a Rinseless bucket will last upwards of 1 month (at least) before degrading. I would do three things to ensure your Rinseless can be stored over a period of time and so it stays clean so you can use it for multiple vehicles. 1.) Get a bucket with a good lid so you can store your solution without having debris enter the solution. 2.) Fill your bucket with distilled water to create your wash solution. If you're going to let it sit, microbes from tap water will become a problem. Start clean - stay clean. 3.) Use multiple clean towels and never dip back into the bucket. Once you saturate a towel with Rinseless solution, it never goes back into the bucket (unless it's gone through your washing machine, of course). If you have enough towels, you can leave them in the bucket so they're always ready to go. Rinseless is a great product. I'm sure others will chime in with suggestions.
  9. Twin girls and a third girl on the way !
  10. ^careful storing towels, sponges, applicators, etc in a plastic bag. If you're storing them in a bag to prevent contamination at least store all the bags with the zipper open. A closed environment will lead to mold and mildew. Just because it's dedicated to one product doesn't mean that one product isn't the only thing the sponge is absorbing. Plant spores, airborne particles, moisture, skin oils.
  11. I have a large tote in my closet for all my gallon containers and extra 16oz products. I have a second smaller container for everything I use when cleaning. It holds about 16 bottles. I also keep this container on a shelf in my closet. I'm sure extreme temps could degrade the products, but I'm not storing off the shelf products. I pay a premium for quality. It's an investment; an investment I want to protect.
  12. This too has happened on my wife's acadia. I gave the car a good washing, HGG, SVRT the trim and then the streaking appeared. Dylan, on the front of his car (and mine) there is a plastic piece of chrome looking trim above the black plastic facia on the front of the car. This piece is below the grill. It's about 1-3/4" tall and close to 3-1/2' long
  13. ^Park it in your garage, hang up the keys, and invest in the Rinseless wash. That is the only way to idiot-proof your car.
  14. I wasn't sure where you were going with this I think we're all a little nervous our first time
  15. I found an old post from Dylan, "The dip tube won't be long enough to reach the bottom, but the pump itself will fit as it uses the same 28/410 threaded neck as our 16oz and 36oz bottles." I was hoping to do a quick search on the net to find a supplier of 28/410 spouts and find a link for you, but no such luck. I did see some of the old spouts like they had on the throwback bottles several months ago.
  16. What about a cone polisher with an electric drill? The more automated you can be the quicker it'll go. As far as which product will go the furthest and do the best job you may want to look for an off the shelf product. Turtle wax mothers etc. the cone polishers can be found at many stores Walmart meijer autozone for about $20. since you don't have the time to get adams products and the FD might not approve the expenditure. That might be your best bet. Maybe bribe/recruit some fellow fire fighters or some youngsters in the area
  17. Thanks for the tips. I thought it could have been too much product, but it seemed to show even when I wiped over a section with a wet towel that already had product absorbed in the towel. Practice makes perfect I guess. This product seems to require a little more attention to technique than other products. But either way this stuff is still the bomb diggity. Water was still beading off the car 3 weeks after my first application when I was trying to wet the panels before washing.
  18. This is my second time using HGG. The first time I did a rinseless wash in my garage, and then proceeded with a modified wet application of HGG with a water spray bottle. Came out flawless from what I could tell. Last night I had time for a 2 bucket wash, and after my final rinse I left the car wet, grabbed a saturated towel and a dry towel and got to work with HGG. I noticed after applying and buffing dry there were some areas that had an oily residue. I was in the shade and it was easy to detect. If I went over the spot with my wet towel and redried the spot it seemed to go away. I went around the car with a light detail spray wipe down but I had to get back to family time before calling it a night. Anyone else experienced these spotty areas? I noticed if I didn't catch any HGG overspray right away it left behind those spots as well.
  19. I have a second distilled water bottle to wet the panels I'm working on, but this is typically for applying after a rinseless wash.
  20. I've noticed the 16oz spray handles are hit or miss. I've had a couple the seem to throw globs of product rather than mist. Luckily I have extra laying around from previous orders to swap them out.
  21. Wait til those dirty diapers need changed, Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo in the foam gun might look tempting to try.
  22. ^ you know it only rained because you detailed your rides. Detailing is a better Indicator of rain than what the weather can predict. It seems like it always rains after I detail.
  23. I would be concerned about your air supply being filtered. Think of a sandblaster on a very small scale. Personally, I'd opt for a waterless or rinseless wash over the compressed air. Much safer and more effective since the air won't get it all off the paint.
