I believe your car routinely sits for a few weeks while you are on duty. I wonder if a hot interior with little airflow is making for an ideal environment for out gassing to collect on the interior glass?

Anyone else use ID for the engine bay? I thought, there is lots of plastic there. Let's see if this works. Turned out well. I've cleaned lots of engine bays with a hose and APC. This was nice not having all that water and mess.

I guess, theoretically, you could. What I dont know is if the bristle pattern/spacing is the same on the long bristle vs. short bristle brush. They're fairly spread out on the long version, so shortening them may create unintended gaps. But if you're going to try, please post your findings and pics here!

Revive is one of my favorite Adam's products, so little praise for it.

I also use them for an alcohol wipe-down to remove polish residue prior to PS application.

They are fantastic for cleaning the interior windows, removing clay residue, and wiping Coating Prep.  I have a dozen or more, and seem to use one for every wash I do.

I use WW towels when I do DS wipe downs, and I always use them to dry or wipe out my door jambs.

"Wax" may of been a poor choice of words on my part...perhaps "gloss enhancer(s)" would of been better.

Regardless, my understanding is that the "old" Waterless had none of this "shiney stuff" and the current Waterless has some.

A common misconception...that used to be the case.

The current Waterless product does have a small amount of "wax".

While I struggled with it, too, I finally figured out the difference is in the name...

Waterless Wash requires no water. Just use the product straight out of the bottle and some WW towels and you're all set. Used for light dust and dirt, as well as fingerprints. Some very minor shine added. (P.S. WW smells amazing )

Rinseless Wash requires a large bucket of water and several Double Soft Towels. Then, you can go to town, without the need to rinse after you wash the car. Perfect for a dirtier vehicle, but not the caked on stuff (you'll need to get it off the car somehow...maybe with a hose or rinse at a local self serve car wash). This seems to have more shine enhancers than the WW.

As Dustin said, diluting the RW creates a waterless wash-like solution, and at a much more economical price point. About 2-3oz added to water in the 32oz spray bottle works great. But, again, you lose the smell of the WW (Rinsless smells good, too, but not the same).

Rinseless at 16:1 is NOT the same formula as Waterless. They are simply comparable enough to be used for the same purpose.

If you're adding or removing polish daily, you'll run out of clear coat eventually (and it probably won't be too long). Polish is meant to repair the surface. You're actually removing a little bit of clear coat every time you polish. Plus, as others have mentioned...it's not meant to be left on.

If you're talking about wax or sealant, there's no need for daily addition or removal. The layer that's there should be able to withstand the elements for the time frame you're leaving it for.

I'd simply leave the car uncovered while you're washing the cover. Once it's done and ready to be reinstalled, wipe the car down to remove dust with waterless wash or detail spray. At that point, reinstall the cover.

Also, the potential for more damage exists with daily installation of the cover to "add or remove" a coat of anything. I think you may be overthinking what you need to do in order to protect your car while your home is being finished. Congrats on the house too!

Adam even mentions this on a ton of his videos... my suggestion.. heed the advise and don't think you will 'just be careful'.  Not only will you waste product... the neighbors just don't want to hear that type of language.

    Phil,

You shouldn't need to clay your paint with a coating on it. Honestly, a little waterless wash should remove them. If they are still stuck on, simply spray some WW and allow it to soften the bugs. I have found the above method to be successful.

I see you're from Midwest Ohio. I'm from Urbana/Springfield area myself. I work in Dublin.
