took this photo early this morning, a group of swans were moving toward a group of geese, which then caused them to scurry and fly away.

Well, it's finally done. The entire car was completed utilizing only Adams Polishes products. The process was long, but since the car was in good shape to begin with, some steps weren't so bad. The order of events was:
- strip wash (using APC and car shampoo)
- decon with deep wheel cleaner (which didn't yield too many contaminants on the body).
- wheels cleaned with deep wheel cleaner, turbo stick and wheel whoolies;, tires cleaned with APC
- clay
- exhaust tips cleaned up with metal polish 1 & 2
- trim and rubber treated with VRT
- two step polish on all painted surfaces. Anywhere that had clear bra I used detail spray(I was hoping to just use finishing polish, but wasn't totally happy so did full correction.
- paint sealant
- brilliant glaze
- topped with two coats of Patriot Wax
- glass cleaned inside and out
- glass sealant on windshield
- reapply VRT to even it all out
- H2O Guard & Gloss used on the wheels; tire shine on tires
Interior done with total interior detailer, detail spray, leather and interior cleaner and leather conditioner
Enjoy. I'm happy with how it came out.

wely324 reacted to pirahnah3 in Towels not as soft after washing this time.
Well, I decided to try something that seemed to have worked.
I took a bunch of the towels that were having issues, and picked some that were used with H2O some not. I took a 5gal bucket and put the towels in it, inverted a grit gaurd over it just to hold the towels down. I then filled it with water and 4-6oz of APC, I then let it sit for about 36 hours. Then rewashed with my normal procedure, took the towels out of the machine gave them a snap (grab corner and snap just to take the wrinkles and whatever out) laid them out to dry. After they dried.......soft as before. Dont know that this was the solution but it certainly had an effect on the results.

I have several shots of this combo, but I will throw this one out...

No need to put the wax on with a machine. It can be done, but at no real time savings. Americana goes on easy and comes off simply. I think it would take me longer to apply that product with a machine.

i polished by hand with a microfiber app as well as the 4" blue metal polishing foam pad with the hand drill adapter.

Chrome is a metal coating. You can use Metal Polish #1 and #2 if it is real chrome, but unlike other metals you should not see any black/gray residue transferring to the towel. The only residue that should transfer is brake dust and dirt.
Chrome can be very soft, you should be able to smooth out the scratches and hide them well, but removing them completely may be difficult.
The metal polish twins are one of my favorite Adam's products.

tire and rubber cleaner is becoming one of my favorite products, leaves the tires so clean you could skip dressing them.

wely324 got a reaction from Elvin in H20 GG stains the towels?
Aside from the staining, you want to wash your GG towels separate from other towels so the chemicals don't affect the water absorbency of the towels.

The hand cleaner was just a rebranded Muck Daddy cleaner if you still want to try it out. I don't have any experience with it. It may be an excellent product but when I order from Adam's I'm gonna order stuff to clean my car not my hands... Plus Snap On makes a hand cleaner that is absolutely amazing if your hands get really greasy and grimey after working on my car or bike, stuff is amazing I can't imagine anything being better.
