wely324 reacted to marquez93 in What did you do today?
Nice riding. Not a great starting position, but it looks like you're in another league in terms of corner speed and braking ability. Did you ever catch that last guy?

wely324 reacted to Bryce in WTB: Used Entry-level Polisher
Hey everyone,
Like the title states, I'm looking for a used polisher. I hope to use it only 2-3 times a year so I don't want to pay full retail quite yet. I'm thinking maybe someone on here grew out of their Porter Cable setup.
Shipping to 89135

The paint has NEVER been this shiny and reflective before. It made it like a mirror finish. Really amazed with this combo.

wely324 reacted to salinaju in Another Brilliant Glaze + Americana Wax = WOW!
Usually a lurker on the forums but I just had to say that I couldn't be happier with the results after using Brilliant Glaze and Americana Wax for the first time. Application and removal was super easy as shown on Adam's videos. Thank you Adam's for making products that are easy to use and provide excellent results.

This probably the best photo I have ever taken. We went to El Matador Beach in Malibu early one morning during vacation. Didn't see any tide pools but I got this great shot!

wely324 got a reaction from Dwhite0960 in Use new Strip Wash before claying?
removing old wax and sealant as well as other contaminants is very important prior to polishing. Why clog the pads up with wax etc. when you can do it prior to polishing, which will probably give you better results. And according to your logic why even clay if polishing removes everything?

wely324 reacted to TheWolf in Use new Strip Wash before claying?
While this product is called Strip Wash, it is not just for removing sealants and waxes. It is also for cleaning off all the crud that a normal, pH balanced shampoo will not. Bugs, road grime, diesel soot....all the stuff you want to get cleaned off, without a lot of scrubbing, before you machine polish. This reduces the changes of picking up crud in your pad and then damaging the paint.

wely324 got a reaction from PT3 in Wipe after Blow dry?
In Porsche world, especially when you have a 911, a Cayenne is a truck.
I have a crossover suv, and it is the furthest thing from a truck, but it is not a car to me. For me vehicles are cars or trucks without getting specific on what they actually are.

wely324 reacted to 07RS4 in Wipe after Blow dry?
1. Sheet rinse
2. Mist with Detail Spray
3. Hit known leakage area's with Air (i.e..Window seals, mirrors, honeycomb grills, wheels)
4. Wipe down with damp Rinsless MF'er or your favorite drying towel
Very rarely will anyone just use air and never touch there car with a wipedown of any sort after a wash...whether it be immediately or days after with a Waterless/Rinsless/Spray Wax wipedown. The biggest rule of thumb is there should never be a dry towel touching dry paint. If ur using quality products and towels, the chance of damage is extremely low anyway. Most people are going to touch up there ride with a polisher once or twice a year anyway.

10 mystery boxes is way too many. At that amount you are basically getting the entire Adam's line and then some, what is the mystery in that?

MB's are a joke. They run the special multiple times a month and you can "basically" buy as many as you want. Takes away the nostalgia.

wely324 reacted to p0r0y in 2 months with 3 washes after H20 GG application. Wow! Amazing Product!
First time using H20 Guard and Gloss last June and this product live up to the hype. 3 Washes on the truck and still beads really good. This stuff is amazing!

In italics is a perfectly fine regimen - continue doing it.
In non-italics is where you are getting your micromarring - you need to eliminate the wipedowns in between GDWM washes or traditional washes.

wely324 got a reaction from Firebuff17 in H2O G&G and Sidekick
I actually prefer drying with h2o over just detail spray, I have found it to be less prone to scratching than just detail spray on my black car that has a glass coating as well. Towel drying even with detail spray you had to be so careful. The h2o GG buffs so nicely, and then when you air dry the nooks and crannies of the car, the water wipes up so easy with a GWDT.
