God Bless America, indeed.

Lowes has the Greenworks electric power washer for $79 on Black Friday. It is 1600 psi and 1.2 gpm. Does anyone know if this would work with the foam cannon?

jeffo65 got a reaction from LFairbanks in What are you doing to try and stay healthy?
I am 51 years old.
I run, bike and swim weekly along with healthy eating and annual doctor visits.
I run about 25 miles a week, bike 100 miles a week and swim about 2 miles a week. These amounts increase when training for a running race or triathlon.
I still would like to be 5 pounds lighter, as I feel better when I am at that weight.

jeffo65 reacted to Mariner in Question about claying over LPS?..
I only clay about every 6 months when I do my strip washes. Then I apply LPS for another 6 months

This is the contents of my one mystery box. It was certainly enough to get me hooked and I ordered VRT, TID, Glass Cleaning Kit, Super great white drying towel, undercarriage spray, All purpose cleaner, 10" wash pad and a fender brush. I still would like to purchase some wheel cleaner, buttery wax, a foam gun and some car shampoo. I am hooked, I definitely have the shinest ride on the block now!

Looking great, well done! Did you apply VRT on the bike tires also?

jeffo65 got a reaction from zapdon in The Squash has been detailed
Did most of the detailing yesterday and finished the interior this morning. Also detailed the bikes with some LPS.
I did a complete strip, VRT on the tires and trim then sealed with LPS. This morning I topped it with a coat of Butter wax.
All set to head north to WI for 4 days of mountain biking and gravel riding.

I would do the following, assuming no paint correction needed.
Wash
Clay
Paint Sealant
Top with wax
Follow up with H2O G&G after periodic washes.
Wash tires and wheels. Dress tires as you like (shiny or matte)
Keep interior vacuumed, cleaned as well as glass.
You will need to reseal when water stops beading (4-6 months)

is there a list of places that use Adam's for when your feeling lazy or short on time but want your vehicle to get proper loving anyway?
If there is not such a list.. can I throw this in the suggestion box?

After a quick waterless wash, I used buttery wax for the first time. Easy on..easy off. I am pretty impressed with the results.

jeffo65 reacted to TheWolf in Which TDS meter is correct?
Quite a bit of difference there. Put them both in distilled water and see which one reads 000.
You can also get a calibration solution to check the meters.

jeffo65 reacted to goheels in Washing in between polishing stage
Wouldn't matter to me if it was magic fairy dust. I still think it should be a clean surface (whether you use a waterless wash method, full 2 bucket etc) prior to polishing. Simply wiping it with a dry microfiber as you suggest isn't the way I would approach it, but we all have our ways of approaching detailing :-)

jeffo65 reacted to pirahnah3 in Ranking products by amount of shine?
I would also like to add that the "Shine" can totally depend on vehicle color as well. I have a white truck and seeing the same shine POP that you can get on a black vehicle is totally different.

Love that name... I haven't had any of my cars over at Coffee n Cars yet. The G & Z group are always asking me to bring my G35 coupe up, the Honda guys wanna see my 1st gen CRX, and the PCA guys are always send out 'reminder emails' tryin to up the Porsche presence. Tough delimma to have, right? It's a very cool event and I walk through every so often. Btw... I'm right down the street from the car show...
Hey Jeff, I am down in Springfield, MO, but my office is in Chesterfield and I work with a group of guys based in Chesterfield
Thanks everyone for the comments and all. I haven't been here long and am new to detailing, but I truly believe Adam's has hit the bullseye with this business. A premium product, excellence in customer support, and getting people excited about detailing. I've only begun with a good decon wash, clay bar, and G&G, but I'm extremely impressed with the results over what I was using before. The forum is awesome. The videos are informative. But the Mystery Boxes and Give-Aways are just down right Brilliant!!!
Honestly, I could go on here... but if you're reading this you prolly understand...
