  1. With advancing technology nowadays, I always choose the electric option of any tool. I bought a 2000 psi electric Greenworks from Lowe’s because it was close and easy, and spent a couple hours yesterday blasting the mildew off my concrete driveway, no issues. The only downside to electric is you have the power cord, just another thing you have to maneuver around. Electric can easily deliver enough pressure to wash vehicles, and then some. It’s also much quieter than gas. I usually put headphones in and I can’t even hear the machine. Also, you could secure it to the wall assuming your wand is long enough. I love my gas hog vehicles, and I worked on an oil tanker for the longest time, but I find gas powered tools to be outdated.
  2. Agreed ^ Having a white car is the cure all for OCD
  3. I was told (of course by the CarPro guy) to use CarPro products with CQuartz since they're all designed specifically for that coating. However, when I told him I had a lot of Adam's Polishes CWS left, he said I could use that, but suggested also doing a monthly wash with their Reset wash. Since my wife and I recently purchased her Camaro, I've been using strictly CarPro products on my paint and Adam's products on hers. Pertaining to tires and glass, I use Adams for both vehicles. All personal preference but if you're to get the full 2 years or whatever out of your coating, you should follow the companies recommendations for maintenance products.
  4. Well this all happened yesterday but now that I’m finally home again after 3 months, we went and got the wifey a new car. I’ve never been a GM fan but damn she looked too good in the Camaro to pass it up, so here she is. Breyanna names her Hydra. It’s a 2018 2.0L turbo, plenty for her and honestly for me as well. With the paddle shifters this thing will pull you back in the seat.. pretty insane really out of such a small engine.
  5. Not a clue. We’re just glorified FedEx lol
  6. Thank you! And yes, stands for roll on/roll off. All those BMWs sitting there in that parking lot were all delivered by our company from Germany. We’re in Antwerp now picking up tractors!
  7. Not exactly today, but 11 days ago I took another shipping job and crossed the Atlantic on a RoRo ship. Just pulling into Belgium now, probably spend Christmas in Germany, then a quick stop in the UK before heading back to the states. Check out these pics, last one is my ship, rest is some cargo some of you might appreciate. And yes, those are McLarens.
  8. It all looks like it’s more for show than for practical use.
  9. For those of you that missed out, they sell the exact same seat on amazon prime for $79.95 lol. I guess that Adams sticker was worth $10.
  10. Whew that does sound like a cheaply made seat, bummer. Glad I didn’t grab one!
  11. I'll have to try that. Thanks, Dan.
  12. I agree. Scrolling back up though long winded responses on the mobile app gets ridiculous at times.
  13. So I guess my next question is, would you consider foam to be the same as “just lots of suds.” I don’t have a foam gun or cannon but with the new soap I’m considering it. Just trying to get a feel for the product first. We’re glad you’re here to help answer questions!
  14. Funnel? Haha not trying to break your balls man. I’m an engineer... all I do for a living is think of better and more efficient ways to do things lol. My screw top went on crooked at first but I cranked down on it and it’ll seat at the very bottom of the threads. Maybe try just giving it a little more force.
  15. So using multiples of 4 for simplicity’s sake, it would take a whole 16oz bottle of standard car wash shampoo in a foam gun/cannon to achieve what a single dose of 4oz of foam soap will do? But on the other hand, mathematically a single ounce of the foam soap should be sufficient for a 2 bucket wash, making it a far more economic option for people that like to spend money up front for lasting results. I’m sure it’s not as simple as a linear scale but if it is... then the foam soap is far more economical.
  16. Might be easier to just put a normal cap on it. Then when you want to use it just unscrew the cap and pour in a couple ounces?
  17. When they say 2-3 pads they merely mean that over time they become caked with polish and aren’t as effective, or perhaps they’re overheating. By having extra pads you can change them on the fly without having to clean them or let them cool down.
  18. Even I got to have Thanksgiving dinner with my shipmates! Now I’m so stuffed I’m going to be lucky if I can even do my job. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!
  19. I wish someone would post a link lol, as I don’t even know what y’all talking about. What’s a “work platform”? Like scaffolding? Bosun’s chair?
  20. I washed mine several times and it’s still stained pretty brown. It still works fine, but white shows everything
