Awesome - thanks, Chris.  That definitively tells me what I needed to know (i.e. someone my dad's size or larger actually using the stool).  Appreciate it!

slapshot87 reacted to Focus_Red in Microfiber Wheel Mitt and Eco Wheel Wash Review
    TL;DR:
Wheel wash mitt + eco wheel cleaner makes cleaning wheels easy, less annoying, and overall cuts down on cleaning time. This combo is going to replace the original wheel cleaner and any type of wheel brush in my arsenal.

I've always wanted an easier way to clean wheels. Pristine wheels truly set off a clean car. However I've never been happy with ANY wheel brush I've ever used. They never seem to clean wheels well and unless the wheels are coated in mud, I've never seen a need for them. Therefore my wheel cleaning regimen was:
    - Blast with water
    - Spray Adams regular wheel cleaner on one wheel and let sit for a minute or two
    - Blast cleaner off with water
    - Detail entire car
    - Come back after tire shine / VRT and use detail spray and a microfiber to finish cleaning the wheels. There was always a left over layer of dust that would require this last step. The microfiber I used would always get VERY dirty.

Enter the new Wheel Wash Mitt and the Eco Wheel Cleaner.
I've always thought this type of mitt (the kind with fingers) was the perfect solution to washing wheels. Especially intricate wheels (like the current BMW M3 wheels... ugh. Gorgeous but a pain to clean). So I was going to purchase the wheel mitt as soon as it was released. The eco wheel cleaner however, I wasn't sure of. The regular wheel cleaner does such an amazing job and just requires a bit of care when using to keep it from harming the finish on most wheels. However since there was a sale and I could pick up the mitt and the eco wheel cleaner for $20 I figured, what the heck.

When they arrived I was pleased by the quality (no surprise) of the wash mitt. It feels sturdy and I'm sure it will clean many wheels with no issues before it ever needs to be replaced. The eco wheel cleaner also had a nice pleasant smell. Doesn't smell like the old cleaner at all, but that made me curious. The regular cleaner does such a good job of breaking down heavy brake dust that I wasn't sure this one would do the job as well. Since I had a few hours this past Friday to clean my 2008 Z51 Corvette it was a perfect opportunity to test it out. This car has the cross drilled brakes and therefore can generate quite a bit of dust. I also hadn't washed the car in a few weeks (which is odd for me but I blame the crappy Northern Virginia weather) so this was going to be a great test for the mitt and eco wheel cleaner.

I started by blasting the wheels with a regular hose (I typically have my pressure washer and foam cannon out but decided not to use it for the sake of time). I then started with one rear wheel and sprayed it thoroughly with the Eco Wheel Cleaner (using the stream setting on the nozzle) I made sure to coat every spoke and the barrel. I then let it sit for a couple minutes. It obviously doesn't turn purple like the regular wheel cleaner but it does foam up well. Then taking the wheel wash mitt, I soaked it in water, squeezed it out, and began to scrub the wheels. This was so satisfyingly easy to do given the fingers and the overall design of the mitt. All of the brake dust just wiped away. However I immediately became concerned with how dirty the mitt was getting. It was only the first wheel and the mitt was already almost completely black. So I tried to wash it off with the hose and was shocked. Everything just rinsed right off/out of the mitt. Perhaps it was the combination of the eco cleaner and the design of the mitt but it cleaned almost completely with just a regular hose nozzle. I then rinsed off the wheel and moved on to the next wheel. I repeated this process on all wheels then stepped back to admire. They looked almost spotless. As clean as the wheels would after my final wipe-down in my normal regimen.

After finishing the car and applying tire shine, I dried the wheels with the blaster. I moved on to the final wiping down of each wheel expecting some residue/dirt to still be remaining on the wheels. I noticed there was significantly LESS dust/dirt/grime left on the wheels compared to using any wheel brush with the original wheel cleaner. I didn't need any detail spray or anything other than a microfiber. That microfiber also didn't get anywhere near as dirty as it would before. I was seriously impressed.
I'm now going to be ordering a gallon of the eco wheel cleaner and keeping it on hand. The regular wheel cleaner has now been relegated to extremely NASTY wheels, or wheels I don't care about as much.

This result has made me think. "Would I want to use the wheel mitt with the original wheel cleaner?" However given how strong that stuff is, I don't want to. The only thing I'm comfortable using with the regular wheel cleaner was a brush as I didn't want to soak my hands in the stuff and I don't think brushes work well overall as they still require a microfiber and detail spray after the initial cleaning. I think the pairing of the eco wheel cleaner and the wash mitt will become the norm for me. Quite impressed overall.

I have the original cart and mounted the new bottle holder to it. Works great.  The legs provide good support to the bottom of the rack.
One tip I will give you guys looking to buy this or any cart.  When it says "tap in" you need to apply WD40 or Vaseline  to the end. Even baby powder will get it done. But to just try and dry tap it in just makes it harder and makes you frustrated.
Getting anxious to get all the junk off my cart and get my Adam's stuff on it.........if it EVER warms up.

I was happy when they came out with a cart that wasn’t $200. So I picked one up on sale to try it out.

From an engineering standpoint, solid. I like the friction fit of the posts, but the screws that self tap into the post, stupid idea. First thing I did after drilling all the screws was notice the cart was crooked. When it says pound in the posts with a rubber mallet, make sure you make them wish they never existed because they stick. So naturally, I have several triple drilled posts.  No biggie in the end, it’s not visible anyways. Merely a nuisance in design. With all that said, I had it fully built in less than 10 minutes.

Now to what people care about, functionality. It looks small, as in short. I’m a smaller dude, and I thought no way will tall people like this. I’m curious to their thoughts. But as far as space on the cart, it nails it. I’m not a person huge on image, and I don’t pose my products merely to show people I have $7000 worth of Adams stuff that’ll take 30 years to use. This cart holds all my bottles, my Bose speaker, and some brushes.

**Forgot to add, the wheels are solid, sturdy, and roll easily. They also lock. With one lock on it’ll hold in my slanted driveway.

All in all, it works, and the price fit. Thanks for reading.

It is #NationalPetDay so naturally I included my girls.

We have much to be thankful for here at Adam's Polishes! For me personally, the past two years that I have worked here full-time have gone by like a breeze, and it truly is amazing to see how things are growing! We would not be here without each and every one of you, so we are extremely thankful for your support.
Enjoy the day with your family, friends, and loved ones. I'm very thankful that I will get to spend this afternoon and evening with some of my loved ones. And for all of the men and women in our military that are spending Thanksgiving away from home, know that we are thinking about you too!

In twelve minutes it will be Thanksgiving. A day for us all to spend with our family and friends and to give thought and thanks for what’s important in our lives.
As my family is asleep, it got me thinking of the past year and how thankful I am. First, I’m thankful for the health and happiness of my family. They really don’t get the credit they deserve for all they do and for putting up with me.
I’m thankful for my career and the events I get to be a part of. Detailing is not my full time profession. I’m actually a full time firefighter and paramedic. For once, I get to spend the holidays with my family at home this year and not my work one in the firehouse. There will be no wonder for my family this year about what I’m doing while they’re all together. It doesn’t happen every year to say the least.
Which finally brings me to how this all ties into a detailing forum. Back at the start of the year I made the decision to take my hobby from detailing for myself and a few friends to being a legal business. I’m lucky enough to have good people who have offered their support and guidance along the way to help give me the best shot at success. I’m beyond fortunate to have a great friend I work with as we detail cars and grow the business. It’s been a long road, but it’s gaining starting to gain some traction and is starting to seem like it could be a viable venture. Luckily the mistakes I’ve made along the way haven’t been significant or irreparable. I’m sure I have many more to make as I navigate the ups and downs of small business ownership. So thank you to family, friends and clients who have supported us and utilized our services.
I’m also thankful for having a great forum here where we can share information, knowledge and ideas. It’s a place where you can ask for and receive candid feedback (which is seemingly rare these days). I’ve tried to share my knowledge freely and openly here with everything from how to do things, to how I run my business. I’ve received compliments and constructive feedback that hopefully I’ve been able to make improvements with. Thank you for being a part of that process.
Those are just a few rambling thoughts as the clock is about to turn midnight. Tomorrow remember those less fortunate, enjoy the time with your family and friends and put aside the less important things in life.
And lastly, if I can ever help any of you please don’t hesitate to ask. It doesn’t matter if it’s a question, if you live in my area and want to get together and learn from each other or anything else. It’s the least I can do for the help and support freely offered here.
    Happy Thanksgiving,
    Shane

Happy Thanksgiving, all!  Just wanted to give a shout-out to Grabiak Chevrolet in New Alexandria, PA.  I'm in the area for the holiday and forgot to bring my Adam's supplies with me (not only for my own personal use but I wanted to detail my parents' vehicles as well while I'm staying at their house).  I was very happy to see that Grabiak's is a distributor that is only about 10-12 miles away.  So I swung by the dealership on Tuesday....was greeted by a very friendly & helpful staff....and was quite excited to basically see a separate Adam's shop adjacent to their showroom.  They pretty much had everything - including the new ultra foaming shampoo, hand wash, holiday detail spray & holiday interior detailer.  Even though I live out of the area, the staff suggested that I sign up for their loyalty program - which gave me an automatic $15 off of my order.  Nice!
So if anyone is in southwest PA and looking to pick up some Adam's products, stop by Grabiak Chevrolet on Route 22 in New Alexandria - they are really great!

Tried the Tough Glass Towel today for the first time. I like it!
I had to clean the windows on my loaner car. They were really hazy.  I appreciate the padded feel/ structure of the towel, because It allowed me to get down to the edge of the windshield and back window more effectively.  It looks like it even removed some left over goo from the car's window sticker. The windows look awesome for very little little effort. When night falls, I will see if I have any streaks.  These Tough towels could very well make their way onto the stocking stuffer list this year.

I agree, usually paint transfer can be removed with clay.  And the chemicals in the Revive Hand Polish should help remove anything that is left.  If the clay does mar the paint, you may need a machine to remove those, but the black mark will be gone at least!

I don't know if it will get it out . But it certainly won't hurt . I would start with the clay then try revive . U may just have to get some correcting polish and do by hand.  Imo it should come out with a little work . Hard to tell without seeing it tho
