  1. Jim, I must say a very nice addition to the stable. Welcome to the MB Club. "The Best or Nothing" . My father has 250K on his ML and still going strong he says he will drive it until 300K or possible longer depends on how things are going. Not to brag but when I walk out of the building that I work in and look down the row that I park in and see the Mercedes Star I just grin (this row also has Lexus and BMW in it).
  2. Happy Father's Day to all the Father's that are here on Adams Forum. Church that I attend also does recognize men that are not fathers also so I did get a gift today. My father had been looking to replace both the seats on the tractors so I purchased him seats for both tractors since he looked at them the other day when we were in town.
  3. So far I have worked outside most of the day doing outside chores (mowed the yard, worked in the vegetable garden, worked in my Raspberries, Blackberries, and Blueberries. I will be washing two SUV after I rest a few minutes and eat.
  4. We as a nation need to stand up not sit back because if we sit back they win. We need to pray for our nation even more.

    Adam's clothing

I do like the Land's End idea. My first job ordered all shirts thru Land's End to have the company logo sewed on the shirts and I still have some of those shirts in my closet now (that was #$**#)$) years ago). My prior employer we used a local company and they gave a great deal on shirts. That place is still in business and I thought the quality was better than Land's End. If Adams wants to talk to them I have their contact information.
  6. Very nice CL550. I think you will find yourself driving that more than your other cars. I do agree with their saying Mercedes-Benz "The Best or Nothing".
  7. Andrew lets us WELCOME YOU to Adams. Trust me you will find uses for Adams for everything. I am now washing my tractors and lawn mowers with Adams. Just fill up the shopping cart and I can tell you where to send the boxes too. I appears you also have a GMC Acadia in the garage too.
  8. Worked all day at the office. So much paperwork . Then after work I taught class for Vacation Bible School (first year teaching a class my normal thing is all the audio visual and help the minister keep things running-where kiddies need to be going, supplies, security, etc).
  9. Excellent layout. As customers enter they know exactly what your business does.
  10. I enjoy living here in America. My family has been here for many many many generations. If you have a college/university (degree) and depending on the field of study you should not have a hard time finding a job. It really depends on the area that you want to live. Where I live the county does not have many opportunities and I have to drive to the next county over for a job (but alot in this county are retired and the cost of living is low). I have visited eight states so far. My current job has allowed me to visit three of the eight. Since you said you like Florida you might want to look in North Carolina. You will have both the mountains and also the coast. The only thing that I do not like here in America is the president. I am glad it is an election year and he can not run anymore. Due to him thousands of people have lot their jobs and where I work 60% of the workforce has joined the unemployment lines since I started with the company and also over 100 companies in this field has went bankrupt and closed their doors. Also, Chris made another good point in his post below but did not come out and say it. We have the freedom of speech. Several counties you can not speak out what you think of the government.
  11. Started the day by changing in the oil in my Ram (Cummins) three gallons of oil wait. Then moved on to the fuel filter change. Washed the roto tiller for the garden (had to fix it so I could use it for the season). Washed the truck (Ram) which it was well needed (white does not show dirt bad but once it is washed it shines). Now going to review some taxes (mine and my parents returns) and maybe watch movie after all that.
  12. Good point James. I have been on the receiving end and giving end (mostly out of curiosity). I grew up on a farm wore jeans and work boots and cap (now wear straw hat) on the farm and still do, school it was jeans and athletic shoes, but to church always have dressed up better. Work it has been business casual (but work due to a few other factors has relaxed it to jeans if you do not have any planned visitors). Now when I wear a suit people do not recognize me or have to look. What I did today was work on my taxes, had lunch with friends, worked on plow replacing the plowshare parts, and plants some seeds.
  13. Today I will be doing some projects in a fixer up house. Tomorrow looks very nice so after lunch may give the daily driver a nice wash to get all the salt off. Thursday morning I had an interesting day. I left the house my normal time and it takes me about 1 hour to get to the office (but the trip was 3 hours that day). I entered the next city and noticed a sound (squeak) all of a sudden (no radio on). Well I pulled over about three blocks later popped the hood to decided what was going on and noticed the serpentine belt was not on the water pump/fan pulley. Then I decided well can not get back home guess go to this repair show two blocks. I arrived and told the clerk and the owner of the shop what I spotted and the owner said we will look at it around 8 (it was 7 when I arrived). When the first mechanic arrived he had him look at it. The guy came said can you come with me. He said I found your problem. I said back good what is it? He said you lost a pulley. I looked at it and said WOW that was a miracle I made it here. It was the Tensioner Pulley. He luckly found one in that city (He said never thought find a part for that vehicle here in this town). I am glad I heard that slight noise at that point.
  14. Impressive to get it in that tight of place. Made me wonder since it is an Audi. Does it have a parking assist feature? I know Mercedes has Parktronic to help.
  15. Dan......Snowing again today........How about winter storm.......that evening we received around 3 inches and then another 1 inch this morning but now most of the street and driveway have melted. I am glad we got snow instead of any of ice and mix. BTW: Congrat on that new toy you now have
  16. Does the place that your renting have a washing machine hookup. Just use the hookup for the washing machine. This depends on how close it is to your car.

    Super Bowl

Well it is hard for me to say which I like. I would like to see Payton win (since what I am hearing this the end of his playing time and win the 50th game). My father was talking about several of the older games. Hard to believe I know someone who watched the first game.
  18. Thank You to everyone who participated in this. Miners are a different breed and have a different work ethic than the average American. I am proud to call them my brother.
  19. I received this in an email at the office today (see below). Many do not realize how many people this has effected, also communities. Just to name a few companies (Alpha Natural Resources, Arch Coal, Cliffs Natural Resources, Consol Energy, James River, Rosebud Mining, Walter Energy, and many more). First of all thank you for taking the time to read this email. One of the men here at my Coal Mine has approached me with an idea from his wife to set up a prayer time for coal. She went on to draft me to take charge of this vision. I think this is an outstanding Idea. The Bible says “ If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked way, then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” KJV II Chronicles 7:14. We know and must believe that prayer works and prayer changes things beyond our control. We are asking everyone who reads this and believes this to please stop what you are doing at 10:00 AM on Saturday February 6, 2016 and pray for the Coal Industry. We are living in difficult times but it is times like this that God can use to show the world that he is still in control. Please join us in this and please feel free to pass this on to as many people as you can by email, Facebook, by word of mouth or any means you have to spread the word and share in our vision. Again I thank you for reading and sharing this.
  20. It is better than the middle of the day when all users are online and waiting very patiently. ch Today, I was able to wash my daily driver (SUV), my father's daily driver (SUV), and moms car. I could not believe how much the suvs needed to be washed. I think the DOT uses cinders with the salt how dirty was vehicle was.
  21. False, I do not have to wash the wife's car. The next person is going to order something from Adams this weekend.
  22. False (January 19) but True (January 20) The next person is ready for all the snow that will be coming Friday-Saturday.
  23. I would not touch anything until your adjustor looks at the vehicle, then if you wanted to wash and look for addition I would. (Also make picture before and after you wash too). Safelite does install OEM if the car is new enough. I had my windshield replaced in my prior daily driver.
  24. False (Cart Not Full and I do not have to debate where I ship my orders). I normally ship to the office because lower shipping rates (commercial not residential). The next person is hoping for warm weather so they can do a wash and detail.
