Just recently switched over to being a detailer at the car dealership I work for, before that I did bdc and internet sales for the same dealership. I'm one of the 2 lucky guys that gets to detail the hellkitties and vipers when they come in and are sold, also get to choose what products and supplies I want to be stocked in the detail shop. Still working on getting them to approve a large order of Adams but I keep some of my personal products there for the high end cars. I'm also a college student getting my bachelors in finance.

From a few days ago; I finished up a dining table I've been working on for a while as my first piece of real furniture. Pretty basic design, but I wanted a perfectly smooth top after the poly. After a few wipe-on coats, and two, thicker, brushed on coats, I wet sanded with 1000/1500/2000 grit. Hit it with PCP on the 21mm SK. Applied H20 GG and a coat of Americana. If you sit a glass down at the wrong angle, it's going to hit the wall, which is just what I was aiming for. To caveat, I didn't follow-up with PCP because, honestly, I was just ready to have the thing done and it's supposed to look flawed; at least, that's what I keep telling myself.

While the Roast above looks great, we went in a different direction for Christmas dinner.  We all like Salmon and since the son-in-law, who is married to my Chef Daughter, got a new Weber grill for Christmas, we knew we were going to try it out. The first picture is the Salmon being prepped, the second picture is the Salmon on the grill on the Maple planks, yes they are Maple instead of the normal Cedar plank and the last picture is the meal on the plate with the Maple-Honey sauce on the Salmon.  
 
Around the plate is the Yellow Crookneck squash, Mac & Cheese, Broccoli & Cauliflower with a lemon-dill cheese sauce and in the center are dutch oven potatoes with bacon, multiple seasonings and I'm not sure what else.  Not pictured are the fresh rolls and the Strawberry Mousse we had for dessert.   At least her 6 years of school are keeping me well fed when she isn't at the restaurant working. 

Thought you all would enjoy this! I decided to steer away from a normal gingerbread house and make it into a shop! I went a little crazy and made some cabinets and a bench in there as well as some racedeck flooring like my actual garage 😂 had to add the final touch and throw a Adams sticker in there as a banner lol. Enjoy and merry Christmas everyone! 26 years old and I had way too much fun doing this haha.

Agreed. Sometimes those decals stick together on clothes when they're put in the dryer.  You option would be to either hang it up to dry or lay it flat on a towel. 

I would guess that the appliqué is what requires dry cleaning.

A McLaren is the cost of another home...my daughter is on her way to college next year so we were done. Then DCF gave us my wife’s cousins four children...and we still don’t know if it’s permanent. They really shouldn’t go back. But with twenty years of my career left and a baby...it rewrites much of our future plans and goals. Might have to sacrifice the want for the greater good!
 
Maybe Detailed Reflections will continue its growth and it can be a business expense!  I’m not sure we will see the massive growth we had this year again next year though. We will see...

For those times that even the Rupes Nano is too big, we have just received the AutoTriz nano polisher. This kit goes down to the size of a tube of chap stick. It’s going to be perfect for around emblems, interior panels that need some love. You essentially hold it like a pen while it’s connected to a rotary polisher. 
 
We don’t want super high speed, but our DeWalt rotary has a nice speed setting on it. We figured this was the best use of that old polisher while we wait for our Rupes Rotary to ship.

We finally got around to working a bit on my own car this weekend.  We have the first layer of three down for coating.  Out of curiosity, I decided to take a time lapse photo of just the ceramic install process.  It's my first attempt at this type of media.
 
We use three of us to install the product since high spots need to be taken off slowly with a rotary and compound, or wet sanded down.  Two of us lay the ceramic and buff with three towels.  And one of us runs around rebuffing the entire thing over and over.  
 
Anyway, not my finest work on the camera and time lapse, but check it out.  Ask questions if you'd like.

Before I ceramic coated my car I would do a wash with G&G every 2-4 weeks. I drive about 2-3k miles a month so it was super helpful in keeping up with the sealant. I love that product it's super easy to use and it provides fantastic results.

I adopted this little guy at 4 weeks old, because his mother passed away.  Chocolate lab mix.
