ObsessedDetailer reacted to falcaineer in what is the difference
Differences boil down to overall use and chemical makeup. DS adds quick gloss as a drying aid and/or quick clean method, and has a small amount of carnuba added for shine and minimal protection. Spray Wax is also used for gloss and can be a drying aid, but it will add 1-2 months of protection on its own and has significantly more carnuba to do so. Also, DS is usually added on top as an enhancer to protection that's already been applied, where Spray Wax can be used like that and/or as a Last Step Product (i.e. on its own). I think of Spray Wax like DS on steroids.

ObsessedDetailer reacted to cwp2016nd in Pan The Organizer does Adam’s Polishes!
I try hard to get into Matt's channel, I really do. There's something about him that doesn't quite click with me. I love the content that he provides but there's something else I don't like.
Pan seems like a really nice and cool guy. I'm hoping to go to SEMA next year and who knows, maybe I'll bump into him and say hello.

ObsessedDetailer reacted to Savethewagons in New member
Hi everyone,
I have recently been learning a lot more about detailing and Adams products so I figured joining this forum would be a great way to learn more.
I currently daily drive a 2019 ram 1500 and have an 05 Subaru Legacy GT wagon that I have built over the last 4 years or so.
I look forward to meeting and learning from you all.

ObsessedDetailer reacted to HRPinDC in Borderless Grey MF for WW
Thanks guys, I appreciate your advice. It seems like the Rinseless and Waterless products and process are so close, that the towels would be interchangeable. Looks like I’ll need to grab a few WW towels. My Adam’s habit is for sure going to cause a divorce.....
Have a great day!

ObsessedDetailer reacted to RayS in Red - Through the years
Earlier today I had to pull up a older picture of one of my vehicles and it reminded me of a few more pictures, one thing lead to another and I realized that while some members understand that I have a thing for Red vehicle, they might not fully understand the depth. In an effort to share the passion, I'm going share some of the Red vehicles over the years. While only a fraction of these are "Adam's" vehicles, they were always taken of and it is pretty obvious, at least to me, which ones had Adam's and which ones had other stuff on them.
Please enjoy a few Red vehicle pictures, ignore the big White thing and sorry, but I don't have a picture of the Red riding lawn mower, Sunfire, Van or Cruze.
First up is a view from the middle of driveway. Left to right. Malibu, Mustang, Monte Carlo SS, WRX, Top of the Pickup (not sure which one), Impala and in the back, the white thing is a 30 foot motorhome. Excluding the motor home, I'm sure the theme is starting to take effect.
Second picture: BMW. Third - Bike (yes it is dirty, it was before I washed it).
Fourth is the CX5, followed by the Range Rover - which I absolutely hate how dirty the wheels get on it.
Next up is the Lexus, followed by my favorite vehicle, the Colorado, sitting in front of the 24 year old S-10 the day I brought the new truck home.
Then we have the Equinox, which had way too many Florida Love Bugs on the front and finally the Club Car.
I am currently in discussions on a 77 Vette, I presume you don't need to ask what color it is.😁

ObsessedDetailer reacted to HRPinDC in Borderless Grey MF for WW
Hi All,
I just bought a bunch of grey boarderless MF towels along with a gallon of Rinseless Wash. In my huge stash of Adams’s stuff, I found that I also have a gallon of WW (I don’t even remember buying that.....). Can I use these towels with the WW instead of the waffle ones?
I am planning to use Rinseless and Waterless on my 66 Mustang rather than the usual 2 bucket wash I do on my DD.
Thanks for the advice!

ObsessedDetailer reacted to Inspector Gadget in Engine Bay Cleaning Process
HAHA I know if I owned one of these, I probably would have done it by now. I know myself well enough to know that I can spend an hour washing and cleaning my wheels before I even begin to load my foam gun with shampoo

ObsessedDetailer reacted to Inspector Gadget in Engine Bay Cleaning Process
I had been using my steam cleaner until it went out on me. I've never really felt comfortable with hosing down the engine bay but until I get another I'll have to play with the different nozzle settings on the hose and adjust my technique. My biggest issue with detailing engine bays is that I'm never satisfied because I can't get to every crevice, If it were up to me I'd pull the the thing out and clean every nook and cranny

ObsessedDetailer reacted to Beemer in The "Don't Do's of Detailing" Thread
DON'T assume that ca$h found while cleaning someone else's interior was left for you as a "pre-tip".
People get a little touchy about that.
Especially family members....

ObsessedDetailer reacted to Tim in Spray Wax stains towels pink
I used a borderless blue towel (yes, an older towel) to remove spray wax because I’m a rebel. I didn’t see any staining on that one, but that also could be because I’m colorblind.

@Editguy - Chris is 100% right. I am SURE they would send you a new towel. Don't underestimate the power of customer service my friend!

Only things I do differently is use the normal cylce vs. delicate, and an extra rinse. Sorry this happened.
Feedback always welcome. I'm sure Adam's would like to hear it. Recommend you call them and explain what happened. Wouldn't be at all surprised if they replace your towel (and then some). If not or you choose no to, I'll be happy to send you one.

ObsessedDetailer reacted to alanwrench in Taking Adams to work with me
Since I think/talk about my truck and detailing all day anyway, I figured I would make it known to everyone and run an Adams sticker on my hard hat! Anyone in construction knows that is an honor haha.
I think I may try some Adams products on my hard hat. It’s a very expensive REAL carbon fiber lid. It has some scratches and shows dirt super easy due to the epoxy being sort of soft. I may order some revive hand polish or something to help with the scratches. Maybe hit it with DS to clean it up every day or two? Ceramic coating would be awesome!!! I am mostly just bored at work and in an Adams state of mind with all my holiday orders coming in

Looks like a good start to me! You've got to start somewhere and you've got some good ones! I dont even have the one to the right of the valentines "A" with the grey backdrop and red ring!

PM me, @rondre. I may have a towel or two I can send to help restock.

No the fibers aren't ruined and the towel is still usable but will now be dedicated to this task alone which I wasn't planning on.

ObsessedDetailer reacted to shane@detailedreflections in Spray Wax stains towels pink
You’d cringe at the colors of some of our towels. We toss them when they don’t feel good any more. The color doesn’t matter. No two of ours are the same unless they’re brand new.

Bright pink liquid stains white towel! News at 11. Ha, what would be surprising is if it did not stain. I have a double soft that turned light pink from detail spray. It still works awesome months later.

Cleaned up my truck today since it was the first time I had a few hours free for the first time in a while. Still needs a lot of work though...

ObsessedDetailer reacted to rotary57 in Another one on eBay..
I love Adams but idk why some people are paying more than retail for any Special Edition DS. I usually buy them when they release to actually use them. To each their own I guess. I will happily view the chaos from the sideline.
