Cleaned up my wife's Lexus IS. Nothing too crazy, cleaned the wheel, tires and fenders and then ultra foam shampoo and h20 guard and gloss for the paint.

100k Limited Detail Spray was only 100 bottles! This is why I now order 2 bottles the moment they go on sale. 1 to use, 1 for the collection

car is done, only had like two high spots that I have to use BG to get rid of it. Im pretty blown away with the ceramic, I really didnt think I could get any more depth to the paint with all the other adams products I use.

I was turned off to ceramic boost. the first formula seemed very limited. I tried it once and the experience sucked. I got a couple bottles from mystery boxes and thought what a waist. then I read on forums that they improved the formula. now you can use it on glass and trim, wet and dry. I was chatting with a adams employee who told me he uses as a detail spray. I was still hesitant. I chatted this mourning with adams people again. chandler told me what I heard was true about new formula and it works great. he told me to wash car, he blows car off of 80% of water and the goes to town on everything exterior. I decided to try it on my daughters car. I washed car, misted car with detail spray and broke out the leaf blower got just about all the water off. now came it was the time. I was a little nervous. I grabbed a couple micro towels and took a leap of faith and went to town!! I started the first panel with spraying the boost on it working it on surface with one towel then using the other to buff it off. at first I was ready to call chandler some names behind is back, it was coming off hard. couple more swipes and I noticed the more I buffed it the slicker the paint got and the shinier it got. spraying it seemed a little wasteful so I ran to garage and grabbed a applicator. spray on applicator and rub on surface buff to a " don't lean on my car shine you might slip off " was so much fun I will confess I rubbed more than I had too, kept trying to see how I can get this car to pop like crazy. the windows were easy, and the effect on the trim was amazing. it shined and darkened like I used trim restorer. I was tempted to take it inside to see what it would do lol. the glass shined, the trim shined the chrome shined. shined and sealed in one hit. after using on my daughters jeep I only used maybe a quarter of the bottle and since I used this bottle to test on another car I could see it would last a while. after a while the applicater was wet with boost and so I had only to give a small spray on it before next panel or surface and it kept going and going. boost is now officially my favorite right now. WHY ARE YOU GUYS KEEPING IT A SECRET??? WHERE ARE THE VIDEOS????

Agreed. Ceramic Boost is an awesome product. I tried it recently on my Hellcat wheels and it made an incredible difference in the amount of brake dust that stuck to them. With the most recent wash, I was able to blast away most of the brake dust with just the hose and the remaining amount came off easily with regular Car Shampoo and a little agitation. The drying process was also improved after the Ceramic Boost application. I'm not sure how long it will last on the wheels, but even if I only get another week or so, the juice was well worth the squeeze.
I'm heading out to the Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle on Friday AM, so I'll see how the CB holds up after 175 miles at highway speeds.........or slightly above highway speeds..........ok..... at well above highway speeds.

I am going to try and hit up the West Palm Beach show this Sunday to get a few bottles. I leave for a work trip Sunday afternoon so my wife is busting my chops about wanting to drive an hour in the morning just to get Detail Spray ? ... She doesn't get it ?
My plan is to leave my house at 7am, be to the show at 8am as soon as it opens, get a few bottles and drive right back home ... hopefully be home before my wife and 1 year old wake up ... they'll never know ?

I placed a decent size order during the last mystery bucket sale which included the Detail Boy shirts and a few detail boy/girl stickers. One shirt was for me and one was for my son. While the package was inbound, the day of the delivery, FedEx marked the package as damaged, not deliverable. I called Adam's and spoke to one of their sales reps, Chandler. He said typically they wait until the damaged package is returned, see what product(s) are damaged, replaced those, re-box and then ship back out. He saw that I had some of the Detail Boy shirts in there which sparked the conversation of hoping they were ok because he knew inventory was running low on them. I said to him, I'd hate for you all to get the box back and see that the shirts were messed up and then not have inventory to replace it. He said you're right, I'll deal with FedEx and getting the damaged package back but in the meantime I'll make sure a new box is sent out to you ASAP so that you don't miss out on the Detail Boy shirts! 24 hours later I had a new order in my account and a tracking number in my email! Thanks Chandler and Adam's!

My score from Cars and Coffee West Palm Beach! It was limit 1 bottle per person, luckily my daughter was with me
The bucket is also limited edition, all black. Black bucket, black grit guard, black seal and black dolly.
I got there at 8:15 and there were only 3 bottles left ... 1 after my daughter and I got ours. Not sure how many bottles they brought but they were gone quick. The detail spray and single soft towel was $20. I think I heard them say the detail spray by itself was $15 ... The all black bucket set was $50.

I visited Adams HQ on Thursday and saw those mystery buckets being packed. The guys and gals were working like crazy. Very cool to the amount of care and effort that goes into a sale like this.

This is good. Should make one for "maintaining" or "taking care of" a ceramic coating.

MikeSoFlo reacted to shane@detailedreflections in The "Road" to Ceramic Coating
There’s a reason there aren’t many chemical manufacturers marketing a “strip wash.” It’s a product looking for a solution. If done properly, a full detail will remove it all.
Not to mention that if you really want to help with stripping, you can add a few ounces of APC to your wash. Strip wash as a stand alone product is just another product to purchase and manage.

MikeSoFlo reacted to shane@detailedreflections in Advice on my process
If you’re going to do a detail, take the time to wash the car again. Make sure it’s fresh. Just because it’s not seen doesn’t mean it’s not there. Shortcuts in the work will give shortcuts in the results. Waterless has its place as a maintenance cleanup. But it’s generally not where we would start for a full detail. Clean or not.
