2020 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals July 10-12
BRZN replied to BRZN's topic in Upcoming Events & Gatherings
They got around the no more than 250 people partly due to a few reasons: the size of the Fairgrounds is 80+ acres fenced in - 250 people would be roughly 3/acre, Motorsports activities have been reopened, Amusement Venues have been reopened and Carlisle Events pays an Amusement Tax to the State making them an Amusement Venue. Not one of my Team has become infected since Spring Carlisle. I was at the Chevy Nationals with my own car last weekend, I'm still fine. We'll continue as safely as possible with the remaining Carlisle Events we've scheduled. We're going to have two detailers onsite (Billy & Erin) doing detailing this year at Chrysler's, Ford's and Corvette's. If you'd like to schedule contact @Dan@Adams for services and pricing. -
As the thread title states, The Chrysler Nationals will be held July 10-12 in Carlisle, PA. https://www.carlisleevents.com/events/events-detail/index?id=chrysler+nationals&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIudXlr-qw6gIVkcDICh22_giuEAAYASAAEgLArPD_BwE We'll be in our normal location at the end of the Midway in Row IE. You can't miss us, look for the large inflatable Detail Spray Bottle on top of our trailer. hope to see you there! I should have two cases of the newly released Slick & Slide arriving sometime after my pallets of product. First come first served! I also have some products I'm letting go at 50% off!

Plan on ceramic coat. Should I also apply film?

Using Wheel Cleaner on powder coated wheels?
BRZN replied to edlosee's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
The wheels on my '07 Dodge Magnum have been powder coated. I clean them with Wheel Cleaner with no issue. -
The coating that's currently on the vehicle is going to have to be removed before the wrap goes on. The adhesive of the wrap will not stick to the coating. Yes, you'll want the hood to cool down before trying to coat it. If it's a hot and sunny day, your going to want to make sure the trunk lid is cool too. I'm not sure how the heat from the engine will effect the coating prior to being completely cured. I Ceramic Coated the Clear Wrap on my '06 GTO this past winter, it was just like doing paint.

Anybody have experience with VRT becoming less viscous?
BRZN replied to blazersdc1's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
I've had VRT thin before, with no rhyme, nor reason. The product seemed to still work just fine for me. Sling is going to happen if any of the product is pooled in the outer tread blocks, just the same as Tire Shine. -
Show wasn't bad, weather was real nice with just one brief storm after we'd closed on Friday evening. Perhaps a third less vendors in the midway, and I heard gate entries were down by about half. My guess; about 1/4, or a bit less wore masks once through the gates. Masks had to be worn to enter. Our sales numbers were pretty good, being above where they were in 2017 and there were no Sunday sales this year with it being Father's Day, so one day less for the Event. We tried our best to adhere to the CDC guidelines to keep ourselves, and our customers as safe as possible. We set up differently to allow a better flow through our space, having the tables of product on the outsides, leaving the center for upright cabinets with plenty of room for Social Distancing. We limited the numbers of bottles of product per table. All my Team Members wore masks Notice a tube of disinfecting wipes at both cash boxes to keep the area wiped down and clean, as well as a bottle of Hand Sanitizer by Dan to be used between customers. We had only one clearly marked way in and one clearly marked way out with every other possible way in roped off. Social Distancing placards were throughout our store The line to the point of sale registers was labeled at six foot intervals Can't wait to be back for the Chrysler Nationals in early July!

New Tesla Model 3 - What to use for glass?
BRZN replied to billchurch's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Here's a tip on wiper chatter after applying a Glass Sealant. Clean the wiper blade by wiping with Windshield Wiper Fluid, then apply the Sealant to the wiper blades and wipe with a paper towel.- 9 replies

Foam Cannon -- Watery and not Foamy
BRZN replied to jhleung's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
Could be the GPM your Sun Joe is putting out? My gas powered unit is rated at 2.3 GPM and makes awesome foam with just 2oz of Mega, or Ultra Foam Shampoo. I believe it's the GPM that makes the difference, not the PSI, but mine is 2700 PSI. Could also be the hardness of your water. The warm water you'll want in the Foam cannon bottle. Open the top dial no more than 1/8 turn from lock shut. -
Hey Scott, glad you came to visit! Great interview.

Steam will be your friend!

Our Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner is Sodium based. What you're seeing could be some of the sodium residue. Take a Terry Cloth Towel, get it wet with warm, clear water, wring it out and dab the spots with the towel, that may be all the more you'll need to do to remove the spots. I've had a car with cloth seats so dirty, dirt was continually being pulled up leaving similar white spots. I tried an extraction machine, and a steamer; both several times with no luck. I finally resorted to using a tamping brush and our Multi-Use Foaming Cleaner with the extraction machine to get them perfect.

Postponed for 2020: Hot August Nights
BRZN replied to Dan@Adams's topic in Upcoming Events & Gatherings
Rich, You should call Carlisle Events directly at 717 243-7855 to voice your concerns, or call the Governor's office to discuss the issue. Spring Carlisle is still on, as per my conversations with them yesterday, Corvette's at Carlisle is still on, as are the others right now. See the two attached pdf's from Carlisle Events, and we will be taking safety precautions in our location. healthsafety2020.pdf carlisle-events-covid-safety-plan-4.pdf -
I used an Odor Bomb in the trunk of a car that had cat pee in it from a cat crate that flipped over (no cat in the crate when that happened), worked very well, been a couple years now. I'd exhausted most all other options from chemical to steam with little luck. I now keep two fresh Charcoal Bags back there too. May want to give the new Enzymatic Cleaner a try too.
