Day... I can’t remember what day it is..? Anyway I did a full Tire Armor detail today.  I have been CS3ing between the rains in so cal, And every time I did tire shine, then it rains again and the tire shine instantly washes off.  So we will see how the Tire Armor holds up!
    first pic is throughly cleaned
    second pic is first application
    third pic is second application

I hope this lasts because I hate doing wheels and tires. And this was not a fun process!

Wow that looks great! I'm on the PS and H2O G&G route for now on my cars but will move to ceramic at the end of the summer.

First off truck looks amazing. 👍

Just a quick question. With that step stool were you able to reach the center of the roof, windshield, and back glass? I have to stand in the door of my Ram to get to them and really hate it. I can’t get in my bed either as I have a tonneau cover and can’t even reach the center of it against the cab. Just curious seeing as you have one what your experience was with it.

I also have a Ram and without using a step stool you are correct you can’t reach certain parts of the truck.
Our Step Stool does a great job and is light enough to put away when not in use. https://adamspolishes.com/products/adams-standard-step-stool

Damn good work my man. This write up is unreal and im not sure what took longer the vehicle or the write up lol. But killer job on everything. As others have said wait till you get your hands on a polisher. I cant imagine how worked your arms were after using Revive lol. The polishers are just so great and easy to use. I have the 15mm, 12mm mini, and Micro. All 3 aren't needed but always great to have. Since your truck looks to me like its in great shape clear coat wise , if you do get a polisher it would be advisable to get either a pen light or some type of correction light to get close up on the paint if your picky to check for marring and swirls. Last year i used the new One Step Polish to clear up some marring and swirls on my bright white jeep and i will say it did a great job and removing almost all my marks and finishes well imo. After that i did what you did with prepping and using the ceramic spray. The ceramic spray didnt quite last thru the winter but i will be redoing it again soon and once i have a garage accessible will go to a true ceramic coat. Again great job and i know there will be a lot of people that can use this incredible write for first time detailing!

Hey, I know the guy that wrote that Thanks for adding it to the library Chris! @Bscott94 I'll see if they can add it to the Blogs section of the website too. That is the intention for new write ups to go there.

I'm working on a few more write ups right now too

Hey Admins, can this info be added to a sticky on the forum? I'm not sure where it would go but I think this would be very useful, especially for new members. Also, is there any way to find this on the site without having the direct link? I checked here but it's not listed.

I applied Adams UV Ceramic Spray Coating to the front clip of our Hellcat. I applied Adams Ceramic Paint Coating 14 months ago and maintain the coating with Boost and CS3. I wanted to add a little more protection against bugs.

I used Adams Compound and Adams Polish to correct the paint. I then applied Adams Ceramic Paint Coating. I also used Adams Wheel Coating for the wheels.

A balmy 15c/59f here today and sunny. Perfect for a wash.
Didn't take a before pic, but here is the old beat up nox after a wash, HGG, glass sealant, and a little attention paid to the trim and tires.
Probably time to swap the wheels back over to the all seasons.
Oh, also used TRC on the weathertech mats then hit them while working the tires and trim. They look like new - thanks one take Tuesday!
Lastly hit the interior with interior detail spray with microban.

More work than I planned to do, but you know how it goes. Once you get started...

It was a sunny 84 in Columbia today so I did a quick wash on the Garage Queen Terrain and changed the color of the my truck.  I have around 100 Azalea bushes, plus about 10 dogwoods, surrounded by pines and every other type of tree, flower and bush you can imagine and they are all in full bloom .  There is no escaping the pollen at this point.

The second picture of the truck has water drops after a rinse and within minutes I could see the pollen rings on the water droplets.  There is no need to try and do anything special at this point, but I did do an experiment.   Last fall, I ceramic coated the tonneau cover and in the past I've needed to do a deep clean and treatment with 303 each.   The tonneau has stayed in excellent shape and since the water was still beading today, but I did go over it with CS3 today.   I did the wife's Terrain earlier this week and was impressed with how slick it was when washing it, so it will be interesting to see how the tonneau is come next weekend when covered with pollen again.

Winter Mods, well service and repairs done, I now needed to get my 2006 Pontiac GTO ready for the upcoming show season. Stuck at home, with nothing but time was my opportunity.

I began Friday morning with a Rinseless Wash. 2oz of Rinseless Wash in the bucket with 2 gallons of water and nine Plush Waffle Microfiber Towels. I liberally spray one panel at a time with a mixture of 1oz Rinseless Wash and 15oz Reverse Osmosis filtered water, then wipe clean with one of the Plush Waffle Microfibers soaking in the bucket. To dry, I use the Mini Plush Drying Towels.

This Garage Queen isn't driven much, no inclement weather, and lately only to shows and cruise ins. It is parked outside while I work on clients cars in the garage, and the paint and clear wrap material was feeling a bit rough with the baggie test.
    Next step Clay

The rough feel to the paint and clear bra material wasn't bad, the Fine Grade Clay quickly took care of whatever was on the car's surface.

Before I began to run any machines over the paint, I taped off all the trim that might get touched.

There was minimal marring to the paint, very few RIDS,  just slight straight line marks from the car being wiped down since its last polishing. Anymore I'll usually just polish sections that need it, not doing the entire car all at once, as the entire thing rarely needs it. This time I decided to hit all the paint using the Adam's SK Pro 15mm  Machine, a 5.5" White Foam Pad and the new Polish. Where sections got tight, or to cut in panels I used the SK 12mm Mini, or my Rupes Nano with the same pad material and polish combo. Friday ended with just the two doors and the Side Skirts remaining to need polishing. I took care of those areas first thing Saturday morning.

I believe the Brazen Orange Metallic GM paint came out looking fantastic!

    On to protection
I had InShane Designs of Lemoyne, PA wrap the entire front clip last June. He also took care of a few other high impact areas; leading edges of the mirrors, and Side Skirts over the Rocker Panels, all four fender lips, and low behind the rear wheels. November of 2018 I had some paint and body work done by Andy Arter, owner of Kesse's Body Shop in Hanover, PA. He took care to the Hood, Side Skirts, and Rear Spoiler.
All the Clear Wrap material and re-sprayed areas were wiped down with Surface Prep to remove any remaining Detail Spray from claying, or polish residue.
These sections were Ceramic Coated with the 9H Ceramic Paint Coating including the UV Tracer.
The tail lights and door handles had been painted years ago, they were Ceramic Coated too.

I love how the UV Flashlight helps me find any thin sections, or spots I may have missed, allowing  complete coverage!

And yes, there were some thinner than I'd like sections and a few spots I'd missed. A second coat was laid down there. Saturday ended...

    Sunday morning...
All the unwrapped areas of the car still wearing its original paint were protected with a layer of Brilliant Glaze topped with two coats of Patriot Paste Wax.

I waited roughly 20 hours between coats of Patriot. Second coat applied Monday morning.

I pulled the car out into the sun to look her over Sunday late morning. Hmm... High spots on the Clear Wrap material everywhere I'd laid the second coat. There were probably three to four hours between those two coats, and in the garage light everything looked just right.
I laid down a coat of Brilliant Glaze to the entire hood and a few other high spots, let it haze over and wiped it off, no more high spots, nice. This was done 24 hours after I'd completed the Ceramic Coating. I'd often wondered if the Brilliant Glaze, used to level the Ceramic Coating, was actually removing the coating. I looked over the car again with the UV Flashlight, and the UV Tracer was still everywhere I'd applied the Brilliant Glaze.

Here's the results Sunday afternoon after the first coat of Patriot, enjoy:

Oh, in case you were curious, I'd hand polished the wheels last fall, off the car, with Metal Polish #2 and coated them with the Ceramic Spray Coating. Before I pulled the car out to take the above pictures I wiped them down with CS3.

Today while my wife’s Beast was hogging up the garage getting its mid winter spa treatment I snapped a pic or two of the clean SS.

Her Durango was first foamed with Adam’s Wash & Wax because why not? Tires and wheels cleaned with an OTC tire & wheel cleaner. Wheels each got a spritz of Ceramic Boost and tires got Gyeon Tire. Finish got cleaned with several MF wash pads in a bucket of warm water. After drying I gave each panel a spritz of Ceramic Boost but by the insane beading it was unnecessary. Thinking I may get her the Adam’s two part glass coating wipes  as she sees a lot more driving than I do.

Cleaned about a month’s worth of road chemicals, grime and grit off of the SS. I used Adam’s Wash & Wax for foaming and washing. Wheels came clean with just the foam from the iK sprayer, a boars hair brush and a wheel brush on the barrels.  Coat your wheels folks, it makes them SO easy to clean. I hit them up with a spritz of Ceramic Boost after I dried them.  I used several MF wash pads in a bucket of warm water then rinsed. I used no drying aid but did treat the finish to one spray per panel of Ceramic Boost, two for the hood and roof. No sun today so just inside pics.

She’s staying put (and clean) until Monday morning.

Spent the last couple of days detailing a 2013 Infiniti.  Topped with Adams Ceramic Spray coating after washing, chemical and mechanical decon, 2 Step correction, wipe down, etc...  I really love the Adams 2 part Metal polishes...😎

Took advantage of the warm Georgia weather and washed the goat.  I gotta brag on a couple things..... first off, ceramic spray coating holding up strong. Foaming soak of wash+coat, power rinse, 80% of the dirt and grime gone! Loving it! Second foam and wipe down got it spotless.

Secondly, freaking tire armor! I literally just soaked the tires for a few minutes with TRC and then power rinsed.... spotless and shiny!

    Ceramic boosted, shiny!

I mean, I'm no professional and I'm sure i can improve my coating techniques and shining techniques (which is why I learn from you guys on the daily) but if it's this easy for this dummy.... everyone should at least try it!

    A little update:

Last week I  got new tint the 4Runner. The driver and passenger tint thad been nicked with what seemed like the seatbelt a bunch of times from the previous owner. I got 15% on the driver and passenger and 50% on the windshield. Really makes a big difference from the outside. hardly looks any different from the inside. I also cleaned the wheels and they were pretty filthy. So I cleaned those with some Waterless Wash. And after i had gone around and cleaned the faces of all the wheels, i decided to just do a full wheel clean because the barrels of the wheels still were filthy.  I have started polishing, I started with the door handles, and didn't get to do much more than that.  Will do more this weekend. I cant wait to get this thing coated!  I got to use my nano for the first real time on the door handles and I absolutely love it.. here are some pictures. I would like to take the door handles out to be able to polish the handle cups
