  1. Your car looks great! This weather is abnormally awesome for December. I wanted to take advantage of it today, but my back was still too sore today to do any detailing just yet...laid around on the couch and giant memory foam bean bag all day with a heating pad on my back instead, ha.
  2. Correct, our microfiber towels have always come from Korea because no one in the USA manufactures quality microfiber. The double softs and single softs do seem to "shed" a little bit with some shipments we receive, so the shipping team does try to give them all a few snaps before folding them up to get any of those extra fibers out of them. I still shake them out one more time before I wash mine though.
  3. I only have the Master Blaster and not a vacuum from Metro, so I can't offer too much on this one. Was this purchased from Adam's back when we sold the Vac 'N Blo a few years back? It's hard to tell from the picture but it looks larger than the Vac 'N Blo. I can try to contact Metro in the morning to find out for you if you want.
  4. You will get better results if you spray it and remove it one panel at a time, especially on darker colored vehicles where it may streak if you let it sit too long.
  5. It's very easy to re-introduce swirl marks into a black finish - whether it be by a dirty towel, improper washing, or wiping off a bird bomb with a paper towel like I watched an old coworker do at my previous job - especially if the vehicle has a soft clear coat. Our Polishes are absolutely not masking swirl marks. They are carefully smoothing and layering out the clear coat to remove them. Yes, products like our Brilliant Glaze and HGG do have some filler properties in them to enhance shine even more, but our polishes do not. I will agree that washing a black vehicle can be a simple process, as long as you follow the correct steps, but the majority of non-detailers are going to wash improperly or take the vehicle through an automatic car wash and cause all sorts of damage to the clear. There are even some people out there, my parents for instance, that don't even know what a swirl mark is or how that happens and just think that is the way the car looks when you buy it new! Yikes!
  6. Looks like you applied it fine. The white color of your truck will make it difficult to see. It smears/hazes quite well on dark colors but when I apply it to my white diamond Regal, I don't really see the product at all. I will do 2-3 sprays or so for a window or door panel, spread it with the wet microfiber towel, and then wipe it clean about 20 seconds later with the dry microfiber towel.
  7. Hi Derek, I think we might still have a few of the 9 bottle Compact Travel bags at the warehouse, give us a call next week and we can check for sure As you probably noticed, we have 2 new travel bag designs on the website. The Compact Travel Bag and the Large Detailing bag are being replaced by the new, very high quality American Pride Detailing Bag. It has eight 16oz bottle holders, and room for towels and applicators in between the bottles - the best of both worlds of the two old bags. Plus it has the new circle 'A' logo, pockets on each side, stainless hooks for the shoulder strap, and many other great features like a cushioned velcro handle for the two hand straps. It's small enough to fit easily in a trunk, but just big enough to fit a smaller polisher like the Porter Cable if you need to carry it around in a pinch. We will have more pictures of it on the website soon. The second bag is a small update on our small 4 Bottle Bag to have red strap handles to match the American Pride Detailing Bag.
  8. I have two of the Cockpit Brushes in my detailing arsenal - one for scrubbing really nasty carpets and cloth seats and a second one for light cleaning and more delicate areas.
  9. That's great news! You may need to periodically reapply the SVRT to keep them looking perfect if you notice those marks start to return.
  10. Thanks for signing up Russ! Be sure to post some pictures of your Camaro if you can, Cyber Grey is one of my favorite colors on them!
  11. Hey Justin! Thanks for signing up and for your first order, we appreciate it! What kind of car do you have? We would love to see some pictures when you get a chance
  12. Hi Mark, I'm really sorry you had that issue with your new blue waffle towel. It should not separate that easily, so please give us a call and we will warranty that for you!
  13. Hey Len! Thank you for signing up for our forum! What car(s) do you have and do you have any pictures that you could share? Just curious, which products did you try out that you loved?
  14. Hi Stan, thank you for signing up on the forum! As you can see, we're a very friendly group around here, so don't ever feel hesitant to ask any questions, even if you think they may have been asked several times before. Rinseless Wash, Waterless Wash, and Liquid Paint Sealant and HGG are all excellent suggestions for cleaning and protecting your Camaro, but for dark colored vehicles, I like to recommend our Americana Shine Kit or Patriot Shine Kit on top of the sealant to offer even more shine to get that deep wet look to the paint. The Brilliant Glaze included in those two kits is a killer way to add a ton of shine and help to temporarily hide some of those imperfections that you may not have time to fully polish out, especially if you are in an apartment environment where you don't have easy access to do any type of machine polishing.
  15. Jim and Nick both made excellent points. Can you tell us the brand of wheels and provide a few pictures? That will help us to provide a little better information for you. You can use our Car Shampoo or Waterless Wash to clean them, as those two products won't add any shine to the matte finish.

    Big news!

Oustanding! Congratulations on the new family member, Micah looks adorable! That facial expression looks like "Hey Dad, where's my bottle of Detail Spray?" Haha, just kidding, there will be plenty of time to teach that later on down the road Edit: Sending prayers your way for mom and baby to have quick recoveries!
  17. We wanted to post a quick announcement on the forum to say that we will have limited office hours this Wednesday, December 9th. We will be open from 8am to Noon MST to take phone calls, answer emails, and work on order shipments, but we are then taking the afternoon off to have our company Christmas Holiday Party. The whole team is in Colorado this week for the party, team meetings, and scheduling and planning for 2016. It's a very exciting time for Adam's for sure! I will make sure Joe gets a few pictures of team members at the party and when we're out buying toys for Toys For Tots later in the week, to post here on the forum and our various social media outlets. We will return to our normal business hours on Thursday at 8am. Thank you for understanding and Happy Holidays
  18. Thank you for joining the forum Rob! I'm loving the color of that blue on the Ridgeline...it doesn't seem to be too common of a color option either from what I can tell. I've only ever seen one in that color in person at a house a few houses down the street from my parents. As always, please let us know if you have any questions and we will be happy to help out
  19. For what it's worth, I will buff off Buttery Wax residue after one or two minutes. It will wipe off with near-zero pressure on the towel if you only let it sit for a minute or two. Americana can also be difficult to remove if you let it sit for too long, which is why I work one panel at a time with it and only let it sit and haze up at most for a couple of minutes before wiping it off. Patriot Wax on the other hand, I did a test with it last week, mainly because I was curious, and let it sit on the rear quarter of the Z06 I was detailing for over 30 minutes in a 62 degree garage. It still wiped off almost effortlessly with a Double Soft microfiber towel
  20. I can attest to Chris's GTO having zero swirls or imperfections. There is a reason it always cleans up at Carlisle trophy-wise...pun intended Waterless Wash is probably the one product that I do not tell people to use very sparingly. I will soak down a panel with it fairly good, more than I would with Detail Spray, because I want as much of the product on the surface to break down the dirt and work with the Waterless Wash towels. It doesn't happen often, but on a darker colored vehicle, I have gotten a few water-droplet-looking streaks from time to time in a few spots that I may not have gone over a second time (and I do the same very light to no pressure method on the towels that you mention Joe), so a quick wipe down with Detail Spray or Brilliant Glaze in those areas have them back to looking perfect
  21. I've been letting my glass towels air-dry as well the past few times I've washed them because I only have a few and they're easy to hang above my washer and dryer. I will still occassionally get some static buildup on borderless blue and single soft towels even using the lowest or no heat settings on my dryer, but like Roger says, a quick snap and fold and they're fine for me and do not cause any static cling when I put them onto a vehicle again. I may start air drying more towels more often now though, since I have enough built up in my collection that I won't have to worry about not having any spares for the next job while the other towels dry for a day or two.
  22. Thanks for the share, it looks great! To answer your question, it's safe to assume that we will be having some Christmas Holiday and New Year's promotions, but I don't have the details yet
  23. I'm right there with you Rich. I was at Pearl Harbor on December 7th two years ago, working on DDG-53. We ended work earlier that day, so I spent the afternoon at the USS Arizona Memorial, the third time I have been there. The whole atmosphere on the base that day was very somber and respectful. Going through the Arizona Memorial tour on that day, seeing the oil still rise to the surface from the gravesite that is the Arizona itself, is something that I will never forget.
